BP 91 Days in
Why is that we are now 91 days into this fiasco and we are still letting BP lead our hand? As a engineer I tell you that this seep that now exists should have been known as this cap is like you placing your hand over your garden hose at your home with spiget fully open, only the pressure 1 mile below sea is much greater than your garden hose and its probably a good stab that your house pipes and garden hose didnt take the brunt of 100 mega ton bomb either. The stress fractures these "Single... See More walled pipes" took (yes president GW omiited data from reports and this allowed BP to drill and assemble oil pipes with single wall not the 2 and 3 required by standard, yes all this 3 months prior to the tool or baffoon leaving office) was so incredible that its only logical that this capped well will loss pressure due to stress factures throught the miles of incorrect piping! Structual integrity is what we are looking for here and I just can't beleive that the current systems has much left!
Second - even if the cap should hold this is not the kill the well needs to stop completely! This is what the 2 relief wells are for and we learned in earlier discussions that this is like hitting a dinner plate from 5 miles away and statistics show it will be 10 15 attempts to kill the well in this fashion
As a engineer I ask why wasnt this type of cap standing in some property just ashore so as we could have capped this with in a week instead of ninety days! Unacceptable business practice and ethics! If you cant create a "Risk Assessment" document to mitigate fubars then Mr. CEO you should see prison time and your BS to this point deems your business be disbanded for ever.

Ann "dumbass" Coulter getting "owned"
FACTS: George W. Bush's IQ is 91 current formula, but if you take in equation SAT scoring and 1974 criterian for IQ the below chart gives the drug sniffing Bush a IQ of 129, current criterian he is a 91 either way what a baffoon for a Pres. Pre-requisite should be MENSA qualified, anythng less....."is a disaster"

Pre-1974 SAT to IQ Conversion Table
The table is from the paper 'Conversion Tables for Otis Gamma and Scholastic Aptitude Test,' by Warren W. Willingham and James A. Strickland in the Personnel and Guidance Journal, 41(4), 1962, 356-358. It took some effort and luck to dig up this obscure paper. The experience was a bit like finding a Rosetta stone. ;-)
Some things to note from the paper:
•'The data are based upon a sample of 403 students who visited the Office of Guidance and Testing at Georgia Institute of Technology during the years of 1957-1960.'
•In this group: Otis Gamma mean = 117, SD = 7.2; SAT mean = 980, SD = 126.
•'Equi-percentile Scaling: The line of relation between the Otis Gamma and the SAT total score was plotted on the basis of 12 selected percentile points. The line of relation was almost perfectly linear with no evidence of abrupt curvature at either extreme. Table 1 shows equivalent scores read from the smoothed line of relation. In no case did the smoothing amount to more than one point on the Otis scale.'
•'The correlation between the two scores was 0.58. The standard error of estimate for the SAT total score was 102; the standard error of estimate for the Otis was 5.8. This correlation of 0.58 gives a spuriously low impression of the correlation between the SAT and the Otis due to restriction in the range of ability in this sample.'
•'The best interpretation of the IQ equivalents in Table 1 is as follows: "This is the IQ John would achieve if he were to take the Otis Gamma and do exactly as well (or poorly) as he did on the SAT." '
•'Tables 1 and 2 should not be extrapolated beyond the values presented. It is virtually certain that the line of relation and the regression line are not linear throughout the range of possible scores. In fact, it is probable that abrupt curvature sets in a score levels higher and lower than those included here.' Based on high-IQ society entrance criteria, this seems to be true. The line would abruptly curve up at the higher end. Note that the Mensa criteria of a SAT score of 1250 being equivalent to an IQ of 132 is quite consistent with the table below. If someone knows why they have 1300 for scores before 1974, please send an email to enlighten me. Welcome to "News From The Other Side"
Wow, I have been told by many that I should have a blog with all my rants on Facebook. Well be careful what you ask for you just might get it! First and foremost these future blogs are my opinion only and certainly do not reflect any affiliation to my two firms, my family and any other relationships to me.
Please be alerted and informed that this will be adult rated blog, with language, talk, video, pictures and post that only those over eighteen should purview! I make no excuses or apologies now or in the future, and if you have sensitive skin, then this blog probably ain't going to be for you. Come to this blog with an open mind, a intelligent thought process and more than one brain cell. Have your A game on when you register and post cause the blogger you'll be engaging is smarter than the average bear.
While I was contemplating going back to Internet radio for my banter, I though hmmm maybe I should give this blog stuff a go and see how big an audience we can entertain....I am not sure, but we should be able to piss off more than a few Republican pundits or aka "Tea Baggers" and enjoy the time doing so.
Those whom know me best know I will argue a position to death, nothing is sacred from my blog, and things should get interesting!
The main intent for this blog is to make humans get off their asses and make a difference for a better world, and to hopefully eradicate some of the asshats, dumb asses, and stupid humans in general in our society! With so many issues that need addressing immediately we need to step up to the plate, if we don't make a difference now, there is no future, and the aforementioned tools, asshats, dumbasses and idiots need to step aside and continue to place firecrackers in their butt cheeks for entertainment! Yes they obviously grew up in a tea party home!
I look forward to the blog experience and hopefully most whom stop by get a laugh, educated, learn and maybe just maybe become something bigger than themselves!
