When Roger West first launched the progressive political blog "News From The Other Side" in May 2010, he could hardly have predicted the impact that his venture would have on the media and political debate. As the New Media emerged as a counterbalance to established media sources, Roger wrote his copious blogs about national politics, the tea party movement, mid-term elections, and the failings of the radical right to the vanguard of the New Media movement. Roger West's efforts as a leading blogger have tremendous reach. NFTOS has led the effort to bring accountability to mainstream media sources such as FOX NEWS, Breitbart's "Big Journalism. Roger's breadth of experience, engaging style, and cultivation of loyal readership - over 92 million visitors - give him unique insight into the past, present, and future of the New Media and political rhetoric that exists in our society today. Say NO To Internet Censorship

UPDATE: 1/21/12 1041 And you thought your voice didn't count.

UPDATE: 1/20/12 1441 SOPA Put On Shelf For Now.

NFTOS Readers,

This is what Internet censorship looks like. (No Political blog today)

The Senate has come back into session and they'll be
soon voting on whether to grant themselves the power to turn off parts of
the Internet. Fun sites you YouTube.
Informative sites like Wikipedia.Political sites like NFTOS.

If enacted, new laws would force Internet Service Providers to block
websites that any corporation suspects violates a copyright or suspects
doesn't monitor it's users' content close enough
for copyrighted materials. That means that any website, foreign or
based in the U.S.,could be wiped out on suspicion and made
unavailable to everyone in the world.

The Senate must reject the Internet Censorship Act.

Stop Online Piracy Act

Today, NFTOS is not posting a political blog in protest of Internet censorship legislation—along with Wikipedia, Reddit, Mozilla, and many other major websites. Please go to the following site to sign moveon.orgs petition, which lets congress know this crap isn't going to fly! Sign our petition against Internet censorship.
