LET'S NOT DRAG JESUS INTO TRUMPS GUTTER

On CNN last night, several panelists on Don Lemon’s show rolled their eyes when Trump advocate Kayliegh McEnany attempted to say that the candidate had prayed his “grabbing a woman’s p*ssy” comments away and it was time to move on.

After guest Maria Cardona pointed out that the GOP presidential nominee has yet to make an unconditional apology, McEnany took offense — then played the Jesus card.
“We can all stand here in judgment and say he didn’t apologize when in fact he did five times now, and it was heartfelt,” she frantically explained. “And Dr. Ben Carson came out today and he said, ‘I saw him pray for forgiveness before the debate.’ You have James Dobson saying he’s a recent Christian and recently accepted Christ into his life. You have Sam Clovis, his co-campaign chair, saying he’s a witness to his faith conversion. This is someone who is a changed person, and he’s apologized for it. I’m not going to stand in judgment. On the is panel, we can be self-righteous or we can forgive.”

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

Given a chance to respond, former Bernie Sanders campaign spokesperson Symone Sanders — who grimaced through McEnany’s ‘holier than thou spiel’ — had a few things to say.
“First of all, Donald Trump only apologized because the tape came out and people found out he was saying it,” she began. “Let’s not forget that he led with, ‘These are just words.’ Well, words have power, first of all. Secondly, these aren’t just words. He described predatory sexual behavior that women all across this county can identify with.”
“Let’s not bring Jesus down on into the gutter where Donald Trump and his thugs are,” she continued. “Let’s leave the Lord out of this one. I think Donald Trump definitely has to own up to these actions and he’s not helping himself or the party.”

SOLEDAD O'BRIEN UNLOADS ON FORMER EMPLOYER

Soledad O’Brien, a former CNN journalist blasted the cable news business yesterday over the weekend for profiting off the hate speech that has fueled Cheeto Jesus' political rise.

According to O’Brien, the media had gone through “contortions to make things seem equal all the time” when comparing Trump to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
“If you look at Hillary Clinton’s speech where she basically pointed out that what Donald Trump has done — actually quite well — has normalized white supremacy,” O’Brien explained to CNN host Brian Stelter on Sunday. “I think she made a very good argument, almost like a lawyer. Here is ways in which he has actually worked to normalize conversations that many people find hateful.”
VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

“Ive seen on-air, white supremacists being interviewed because they are Trump delegates,” she noted. “And they do a five minute segment, the first minute or so talking about what they believe as white supremacists. So you have normalized that.”
“And then Donald Trump will say, ‘Hillary Clinton, she’s a bigot.’ And it’s covered, the journalist part comes in, ‘They trade barbs. He said she’s a bigot and she points out that he might be appealing to racists.’ It only becomes ‘he said, she said.’ When in actuality, the fact that Donald Trump said she’s a bigot without the long laundry list of evidence, which if you looked at Hillary Clinton’s speech, she actually did have a lot of really good factual evidence that we would all agree that are things that have happened and do exist. They are treated as if they are equal.”

O’Brien insisted “that’s where journalists are failing: the contortions to try to make it seem fair.”

The former CNN host argued that the question that journalists should be asking is if Trump is:
“softening the ground for people — who are white supremacists, who are white nationalists, who would self-identify that way — to feel comfortable with their views being brought into the national discourse to the point where they can do a five minute interview happily on national television?”
“And the answer is yes, clearly,” she said. “And there is lots of evidence of that.”
O’Brien observed that cable news outlets were effectively being rewarded for bad behavior.
“So hateful speech brings a really interested, angry audience,” she noted. “This is genius! We should do this more often. What shall we do when this election is over? We’re going to have to think about ways to really rile people up, make them angry and divide them.”
“Because that is something that cable news, frankly, and everybody can cover really well,” O’Brien lamented. “So, I find it very frustrating. I believe he was over-covered at the beginning.”
“Now, it is ‘he said, she said’ all the time. We have lost context. We actually don’t even cover the details of something. We just cover the back and forth of it. It’s funny to watch if it weren’t our own country and our own government actually operating.”

TRUMP’S A “LOUDMOUTH DICK”!

Twice this week, a CNN interview featured a flash of profanity related to Donald Trump.

On Wednesday it was Republican strategist Liz Mair, an outspoken critic of the party’s presidential nominee, voicing her displeasure with Trump during an interview with Anderson Cooper.

“His message is being a loudmouthed dick, basically,” she said. “And going out there and offending people and then engaging in an airing of grievances. That’s what he does. He doesn’t have another message.”
Mair, who is now the spokesperson for a group of Republicans backing Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson, said she lost hope that the party could rein the real estate mogul in months ago.

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

“Quite frankly, what I think we’re gonna continue to see throughout this campaign is, we’re gonna continue to see the Republican nominee basically acting as if he’s on a suicide mission and aiming to take the whole rest of the party down with him.”
Mair’s remark came two days after one of the network’s hosts, Fareed Zakaria, referred to Trump as a “bullshit artist” on the air.

#KATRINAPIERSONHISTORY

Apparently, according to Cheeto Jesus Surrogate Katrina Pierson, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton got into a time machine and time warped to 2004 to change the rules of engagement that cost Captain Humayun Khan his life?

This is Pierson’s new synopsis of how the Captain lost his life.

Specifically, Pierson told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday that Capt. Humayun Khan “probably” died because Obama and Clinton crippled our military’s ability to fight by changing the rules of engagement.

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

“But surely you can understand the confusion, considering how Donald Trump never voted for the Iraq War, Hillary Clinton did,” Pierson said. “Then she didn’t support the troops to have what they need. It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagements that probably cost his life! So I don’t understand why it’s so hard to understand why Donald Trump was confused.”
There is a very obvious problem with this, of course: Khan was killed by a car bomb all the way back in 2004. During that time, Clinton was a senator for New York and Obama wasn’t even a senator yet.

Twitter was a blaze last night mocking Pierson with the hashtag #katrinapiersonhistory–to which, even by Katrina Pierson’s standards - is a new low for her. Like her mentor, Orange Hitler, nothing appears to be beyond the pale of these two asshats.

Pierson’s belligerent pathological ignorance is at an all time high. Why CNN continues to cater to these low information surrogates (Katrina Pierson and Scottie Nell Hughes), is beyond comprehension - which appears to be at an all time low for the cable news organization.

For Pierson’s ignorance, congrats, you are today’s worst person in the world!

SCOTTIE NELL HUGHES WONDERS WHY SHE IS THE LAUGHING STOCK OF CNN

Orange Hitler surrogate Scottie Nell Hughes said Sunday on CNN’s New Day that Trump has been “set up” for attacks after his comments about a heroic Muslim American Army captain who died serving in Iraq.

Hughes was talking about an interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC News, in which Stephanopoulos questioned Trump about comments at the Democratic National Convention by Khizr Khan, father of fallen soldier Humayun Khan. Khan had criticized Trump for comments saying he would ban Muslims from entering the country.

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

“I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices,” Trump said in the interview. “I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve had tremendous success. I think I’ve done a lot.”

Hughes said the interview was edited to make Trump look bad.
“But now that I’ve read the questions and the Trump campaign and others have released the full transcript, you can see what a set up this is,” she said. “Which was nothing but to trap Mr. Trump going forward.”
New Day host Victor Blackwell asked how Stephanapoulos asking, “What would you say to that father” was a set up. He also pointed out her reading of the transcript was inaccurate.

Scottie Nell Hughes, congratulations, you are today's worst person in the world!

CNN SUPPOSEDLY HIRES FULL BLOWN NUT JOB

In a bizarre video clip posted to Twitter - and then taken down - a Trump nutter primarily known for being parodied on Saturday Night Live as a “full-blown nut-job” announced that CNN has hired her as a “contributor.”

Scottie Nell Hughes, most recently seen being smacked down on CNN on Monday while attempting to defend Donald Trump’s ant-Semitic tweet, tweeted out her own announcement Tuesday afternoon stating: “YUGE anncm 4 me today as 25yrs of hard work & study paid off! It all started w/ @piersmorgan @CNN #CNN #honored

The hiring of Hughes seems “plausible” after CNN’s recent hire of former Trump campaign manager and Breitbart bully Corey Lewandowski despite his non-disclosure agreement after being fired by the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

There was no mention of the Hughes hiring by CNN, nor anything tweeted by CNN media analyst Brian Stelter, but that hasn’t stopped her from retweeting congratulations from her fans before yanking the tweet for unexplained reasons.

YET ANOTHER TRUMP MOUTH PEICE - KAYLEIGH MCENANY IS A SPECIAL KIND OF STUPID

Fuckface Von Clownstick nutter Kayleigh McEnany suggested on Thursday that the recent terrorist attacks in Orlando and San Bernardino could have been prevent if the Obama administration had been willing to use waterboarding and put “someone in a bit of discomfort to extract information.”

On CNN’s New Day, McEnany was asked to explain Trump’s call to “bring back waterboarding” and “a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding.”
“I think that’s all consistent,” McEnany replied. “He’s talking about expanding the law the same way the Bush administration did to use this only when needed in very limited circumstances to get information from detainees.”
CNN host Alisyn Camerota and guest Ali Velshi both pointed out that waterboarding had been proven to produce unreliable information.
“I mean this is the point is that it’s actually not, what the FBI director has said, Robert Mueller, is that it actually has not been effective,” Camerota recalled. “Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was waterboarded 183 times and gave erroneous information.”
“I think the point is that what Donald Trump is talking about is punitive. He’s talking about it as punishment,” the CNN host added. “They behead us, we should waterboard them, but not talking about whether it’s effective for actual intelligence.”
McEnany disagreed: “But I’m not sure that it’s punitive so much as saying that we need to be strong.”

“The fact that in this country we’re not willing to put someone in some form of discomfort, be it sleep deprivation, which many argue is what broke KSM,” she said. “We are trying to thwart terrorist attacks. We don’t want 49 to die in Orlando. We don’t want 14 to die in San Bernardino.”
“If it means putting someone in a bit of discomfort to extract information, I think most of the nation would say that’s OK within the bounds of the law,” McEnany concluded.

To those who either think waterboarding doesn't hurt or is not torture, let me try it on you and then let's see if your moronic opinion changes.

Congratulations Kayleigh McEnany, you are today's dumbass ass and asshat of the week. Enjoy your accolades Einstein!

CNN TAKES NEW LOW ROAD TO HIRE TRIMP BULLY LEWANDOWSKI

CNN hires commentators with a variety political viewpoints and affiliations. Some are Democratic and Republican operatives. Some have previously worked with candidates running for President or other offices.

In that sense, the announcement that Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, would be joining CNN as a paid contributor is par for the course. Lewandowski was fired from the Trump campaign on Monday.

But there is one aspect of Lewandowski’s hiring that is highly unusual. Lewandowski is not only a Trump loyalist but legally prohibited from criticizing Trump, his family, or any of his businesses.

We know for sure that Lewandowski signed a non-disclosure agreement, prohibiting him from talking about the work he did with Trump.

We also know that the standard agreement that all volunteers with the Trump campaign are required to sign included a non-disparagement agreement. The Daily Dot reported that in March. Here is the key section:

No Disparagement. During the term of your service and at all times thereafter you hereby promise and agree not to demean or disparage publicly the Company, Mr. Trump, any Trump Company, any Family Member, or any Family Member Company or any asset any of the foregoing own, or product or service any of the foregoing offer, in each case by or in any of the Restricted Means and Contexts and to prevent your employees from doing so.

Note that the standard non-disparagement agreement does not terminate when the person is no longer work for the campaign — it extends in perpetuity.

The Associated Press reported Tuesday that nearly all employees, including Lewandowski, signed agreements prohibiting them from criticizing Trump.

CNN reporter Jeff Zeleny reported earlier this week that “anyone who works for the Trump campaign signs a nondisclosure agreement, so he cannot disparage or anything like that at all.”

Asked repeatedly earlier this week whether he signed a non-disparagement agreement with Trump, Lewandowski refused to answer.

His early interviews, however, do not suggest that he is free to criticize Trump. In his first interview after being fired (coincidentally or not, with CNN) he repeatedly passed on any opportunity to criticize Trump or his campaign.

NINA TURNER GETS EDUCATED

Alisyn Camerota shut down a Bernie Sanders surrogate who insisted the Vermont senator had a path to winning the Democratic presidential nomination.

Camerota asked Nina Turner, the former Ohio state senator, how the Sanders campaign planned to promote Democratic Party unity after the primary race ended — but the campaign surrogate argued the nomination remained up for grabs, reported Mediaite.
“Sen. Sanders will continue in this race because millions of folks who already voted for him, and we still have millions of folks in this country yet to vote — and it is not over on Tuesday, contrary to what the media wants to say, it’s far from over,” Turner said.
VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

Camerota explained the race was already over, and she laid out the math backing her assertion.
“Here’s why we say it is over on Tuesday,” Camerota said. “It’s the math. (Hillary) Clinton needs 9 percent of the remaining delegates. He needs 107 percent of the remaining delegates. There’s not a poll in the world to show Bernie Sanders getting 107 percent of the remaining delegates, Nina.”
Sanders has said he will ask so-called super delegates to back him instead because some general election polls suggest he’s more likely to beat Donald Trump in the general election, although Clinton has won more votes and pledged delegates in the Democratic primary.

"BAT SHIT CRAZY"

Pushing back at the internal fighting that has morphed from within the Republican Party over the 2016 GOP nomination, a Clownstick [Trump] supporter got a bit carried away and blurted “We have gone bat shit,” live on CNN Saturday

Appearing during a panel discussion on CNN, radio host Scottie Nell Hughes was visibly aggravated by Thursday’s GOP debate that saw candidates Donald Trump, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz standing on the stage yelling at each other while CNN moderator Wolf Blitzer stood helplessly by.

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

Saying Rubio had pledged to not attack Clownstick, Hughes was dismayed by the change in tactics by the Florida senator during the debate.
“In 24 hours we see the most rabid frothing politician that I’ve seen yet,” she explained. “Spewing nothing but lies from him that night.”
Asked ” What does that do to the party?” Hughes went off on a rant that found her swearing on live TV — which she realized seconds after her outburst as the other guests laughed.
“It absolutely destroys our party,” she exclaimed. “I think both of those politicians — Governor Christie and Senator Graham are right. We have gone bat shit.”

PRIEBUS DENIES PARTY IS IN SHAMBLES

Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus insisted to CNN’s Alisyn Camerota on Wednesday that his party was not fracturing over the popularity of Fuckface Von Clownstick [Donald J. Trump].

Following Clownstick’s Tuesday win in the Nevada caucuses, Camerota asked Priebus if it was time for the entire GOP to embrace the frontrunner.
“I embrace all of these candidates,” Priebus said. “There folks are competing to join us. They are competing to join the Republican Party as our nominee depending on what the delegates decide to do or who wins the requisite amount of delegates.”
“In Cleveland, we’re going to vote on the floor for who that nominee is,” he continued. “That nominee joins the Republican Party. That’s what’s happening.”

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

“But you’re making it sound simpler than, in fact, it is,” Camerota pointed out.
“Because as we have heard time and again over the past few weeks, there is a whole chunk of the Republican establishment that is not embracing Clownstick. In fact, they’re rejecting him. We have heard about all of the big donors, all of the Republican Party elders, all of the people in Congress who are basically saying anyone but Clownstick.”
“You can’t pretend that there’s not a large chunk of the Republican Party that doesn’t want Clownstick,” the CNN host charged.
“And it’s a big party,” Priebus replied. “We’re in great shape to win in November. But yeah, we have drama, there’s some intrigue going on in our party. But there’s intrigue going on the other side too.”

CNN’S TAPPER CALLS BS ON TRUMP

CNN host Jake Tapper called out Donald Trump over the weekend for promising to win over African-American voters while republishing messages from white supremacists on Twitter.

On the Sunday edition of CNN’s State of the Union, Tapper pointed out that Republican Party officials were concerned that Trump would lose the general election because he could not win at least 30 percent of the non-white vote.
“A lot of Republican leaders in D.C. struggle to envision you accomplishing this, especially given that fact that there are white supremacists groups and individuals like that who support you, some of whom you’ve even retweeted,” Tapper noted.
“Well, that, I know nothing about,” Trump replied with a grimace. “I don’t now about retweeting. You retweet somebody and they turn out to be white supremacists. I know nothing about these groups that are supporting me.”

The billionaire candidate promised to “bring over a lot of Democrats.”
“The other thing is African-American voters, I think I’m going to get a tremendous amount,” Trump opined. “And you’ve seen the stories where African-American leaders are saying, ‘You know, my people really like Trump!'”
“Because I’m going to bring jobs back from China and Mexico and Japan and Vietnam and India and all these places,” he added. “I’m going to do great with the African-Americans.”

CNN TO BECK, YOU OWN THIS

Chris Cuomo of CNN suggested yesterday to conservative radio host Glenn Beck on Monday that he was partly to blame for “birthing Donald Trump” before deciding to endorse Sen. Ted Cruz in an attempt to derail the New York billionaire’s campaign.
“Donald Trump, I really truly believe is a dangerous man,” Beck warned GOP voters during a CNN interview. “I’m here to talk to you about the Constitution and what I believe is an absolute right or wrong… The mood of the country is very angry but you never make a good decision when you are angry.”
Beck added that he did not mind being personally insulted by Trump, saying, “Look at me, there’s lots of jokes to be made.”
“But here’s the thing,” Cuomo pointed out. “Is there a little bit of reap what you sow in some of this with the GOP, that engendering an oppositional mode towards government, in ratcheting up negativity as a mainline discourse, you wound up somewhat birthing Donald Trump?”
“And now some of those people who were angry about what was going on and telling people to be angry, now they’ve got somebody who is harnessing the power of exactly that, and you’re disappointed,” the CNN host said.

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

Beck insisted that he had “warned against this.”
“The progressive movement, and that is what this is — Donald Trump is a progressive, make no mistake,” Beck remarked. “The progressive party was started by Theodore Roosevelt, it was started by a Republican.”
“Bernie Sanders is at least honest about who he is,” the former Fox News host continued. “He’s not afraid to say, ‘I’m a socialist and I think we should be more like Denmark.'”

According to Beck, America does not support the “soft” positions of Hillary Clinton or the “anger of Donald Trump.”
“The real question that is before America is this: Do we believe in socialism or constitutionalism?” he asked. “Those should be the two candidates in the United States of America, and let the people decide.”
“Are we going socialist or back to the Constitution? That’s a fair and honest debate.”

FROTHY WING-NUT SUSAN DELEMUS GOES FULL LUNATIC FRINGE ON CNN

FROTHY WING-NUT SUSAN DELEMUS

Frothy conservative wing-nut Susan DeLemus believes everyone is lying to her except Fuckface Von Clownstick [Donald Trump], and that’s why she’s supporting the Republican presidential candidate.

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

In an interview with CNN, DeLemus emphatically said she’s never been into politics until now, because she believes everyone is “lying to me, straight to my face!”

UPDATE: Trump-loving Republican lawmaker caught lying in unhinged rant about Obama’s lies
“We’ve got people in positions of power who I know for a fact are liars. Liars!” she said. “I watch the TV — My president comes on the TV and he lies to me! I know he’s lying. He lies all the time.”
She said she doesn’t believe “any one of them” except Mr. Clownstick.
“I’m telling you, he says what I’m thinking!” she went on. “Never been involved in politics, never had an interest in any of it. Now suddenly, he is resonating. He is resonating with the people and he’s speaking our minds. Our minds!”
Please keep guns away from Susan, who is more frightening the ISIS! Maybe a straight jacket is in order for Susan?

IF ONLY THE REST OF US LOVED TRUMP LIKE TRUMP LOVES TRUMP

Extreme GOP Right Wing nut and presidential candidate Donald Trump responded to a question about whether he was homophobic on Wednesday by talking about conservative groups.
“I think that I’m a very nice person,” Trump told CNN host Don Lemon. “I love people, and I have to tell you, when you look at those polls, it’s across the board. You know who loves me? The Tea Party. The evangelicals. I’m leading with evangelicals — I love them, they love me. I’m Presbyterian, I’m Protestant, and they like me. You know why? Because they think I’m gonna do a great job for the country.”
“Some people may perceive you as racist,” Lemon later asked. “Answer me that.”
“I just did a speech for the African-American Chamber of Commerce of South Carolina,” Trump responded. “They just wrote me the most beautiful letter I’ve gotten in a long time saying how unfairly I got treated by the press.”
Trump said he spoke at the event as a favor to “a couple of friends who just happen to be African-American,” but then complained that Lemon’s network made him “look bad” by showing empty seats at the event.
“I was surrounded by a tremendous amount of people,” the candidate said, adding that “the press is very, very unfair.”
He also insisted he did nothing wrong by not questioning the unidentified Islamophobic supporter who accused President Barack Obama of being a Muslim earlier this month while complaining about “a problem in our country called Muslims.”

“I don’t feel I have to defend President Obama,” Trump said.
“But some would say you’re not defending the president — you’re defending the truth,” Lemon countered.
“You’re not saying I defended. I didn’t respond,” Trump said. “It’s the first time in my life I’ve caused controversy by not responding.”

CNN THE NEW FOX NEWS?

ASHLEIGH BANFIELD OF CNN

CNN Seemed surprised when a Hip-Hop movie didn’t cause violence - and they ran a segment on Monday reporting that there wasn’t violence at movie theaters during the opening weekend of the hip-hop oriented film Straight Outta Compton.

CNN host Ashleigh Banfield reported, “Some movie theaters were worried about violence when Straight Outta Compton hit the screen. Instead, it only led to longer lines, ticket lines and some big money, too.”

Costello brought on CNN law enforcement analyst Cedric Alexander to discuss the reaction to the film.
“There are some police organizations that are calling on people — members and maybe even beyond their members — not to see this movie because of the message they think it sends,” said Alexander, who was a police officer in the 1980s when the group’s hits first came out. “We really have to get away from this whole ‘f the police’ to ‘support the police.'”

The film tells the story of the group N.W.A., a group from Compton, California that was highly influential in the early days of hip-hop, and included several members that are still famous today, including Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, who also produced the film.

The film earned $56 million on opening weekend, a record for an R-rated film opening in August. Police reportedly patrolled theaters showing the film, but violence failed to materialize.

Universal, the company behind Straight Outta Compton, said they had “not solicited enhanced security for theaters” showing the film last weekend.

Some movie theaters have stepped up additional security screening after 59-year-old John Russell Houser, a white man, shot several at a movie theater in Louisiana at a screening of the Amy Schumer film Trainwreck. Reporting in the Wall Street Journal suggested the increased security was inspired not only by the shooting, but also ongoing racial tensions and “the rap biopic’s gang-oriented subject matter.”

B-ROCK EXPECTED TO ENDORSE POT REFORM

President Barack Obama is expected to express his support for medical marijuana, and a drug policy that deviates from incarceration, in a CNN documentary to air on Sunday night.

In the television special, “Weed 3”, CNN chief medical correspondent Sanjay Gupta will explore the politics of medical marijuana research. In an interview with Obama, Gupta probes the President about a bipartisan Senate bill that, if passed, will change marijuana’s classification from Schedule I — the most stringent category for regulating drugs — to Schedule II.

Obama, who admitted to smoking marijuana as a youth, reiterates a position that he took earlier his presidency, according to a Huffington Post preview of the show. He tells Gupta that he endorses a policy solution that has a foundation in science and focuses on treatment more than punishment of drug users.
“You know, I think I’d have to take a look at the details, but I’m on record as saying that not only do I think carefully prescribed medical use of marijuana may in fact be appropriate and we should follow the science as opposed to ideology on this issue, but I’m also on record as saying that the more we treat some of these issues related to drug abuse from a public health model and not just from an incarceration model, the better off we’re going to be,” Obama reportedly says during his interview with Gupta.
Nearly two dozen states and the District of Columbia have legalized medical marijuana and residents of 13 states can use extracts of the plant to treat certain medical conditions. The debate about the plant, specifically its healing properties, has intensified with the release of scientific research that confirms the plant’s ability to treat certain cancers, confirming what proponents of legalization have argued for years.

Since California legalized medical marijuana in the mid-1990s, public opinion about the issue has become more positive, with a recent survey showing that more than 70 percent of Americans favor medical marijuana. Support for legalization has increased among voters in the swing states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Some lawmakers in Illinois want to expand the disease list for the state’s medical marijuana program to include anxiety, migraines, insomnia, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Congressional lawmakers are also mulling over policy that would allow doctors to prescribe medical marijuana to war veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Earlier this month, the National Institute of Drug Abuse, a government drug abuse and addiction organization, acknowledged research that showed medical marijuana’s potential to treat tumors.

However, some hurdles remain for those in the medical marijuana business. For example, dispensaries in California are fighting the efforts of U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag, an employee of Obama’s Department of Justice, to shut down their operations, in a case that is still winding its way through the courts. Rather than arrest them, Haag has tried to seize properties. Across the United States, marijuana’s legal status has caused a dearth of federally regulated studies about the plant, ultimately impeding scientists’ efforts to understand its potential as a healing agent. Earlier this year, the American Academy of Pediatrics urged the government to downgrade marijuana to a Schedule II drug, which would allow for more research into its potential uses to treat sick children with seizures.

Despite the lack of policy changes, Obama has gradually expressed his support for a marijuana policy that’s rooted in science and doesn’t unfairly punish users. In February, he voiced his approval for the removal of criminal penalties for nonviolent drug offenders. In the past, the president predicted that more states would follow Washington and Colorado’s lead in legalizing recreational marijuana and said that though marijuana is legal on the federal level, the Justice Department will not interfere in state medical marijuana programs.

But Tom Angell, chairman of the Marijuana Majority, a marijuana advocacy organization, told the Daily Caller News Foundation that endorsing medical marijuana won’t suffice, saying that President Obama should use his executive powers to reschedule marijuana and protect dispensaries.

“If the president means what he says about following science, then there’s no question he should support legislation to move marijuana out of Schedule I, a category that’s supposed to be reserved for substances with no medical value,” Angell said. “And, since it’s so hard to get anything through Congress these days, he should even do more than that. He should exercise his power under the Controlled Substances Act to administratively reschedule marijuana right away. The only thing stopping him from doing that is his own reluctance to follow through on his stated principle of letting science dictate policy.”

"IT DOESN'T ADD UP"

NANCY GRACE OBLITERATES DARREN WILSON AND BOB MCCULLOCH

Nancy Grace joined CNN’s Brooke Baldwin to discuss the Ferguson grand jury decision Wednesday afternoon and she had a lot to say about Officer Darren Wilson’s version of the story, which has finally come out through his testimony and interviews. According to her, the whole thing “doesn't add up.”
“When people say, it does not add up, I will tell you what doesn't add up, these photos,” Grace said, holding up copies pictures of Wilson’s face after the shooting. “I’ve looked at a them, I’ve studied them, and I was expecting to see his face mangled.” She added, “He doesn't even have a bruise. right? It’s red. He’s got a red mark!”
“Look, do you know how many times I have sided against a cop?” Grace asked. “Never. But to me, this is bigger than a badge. And I don’t like speaking out against a cop, but this doesn't add up.”

Later, when Baldwin asked Grace if the grand jurors should have questioned Wilson’s story more, she said it was the prosecutor who failed, not the jurors. “The grand jurors are like sheep, they’re babes in the woods. The prosecutor’s duty is to seek the truth,” she said. “I am telling you that the prosecutors, if they want an indictment, they will get an indictment.”

Finally, Grace questioned Wilson’s assertion that all he wanted to do in the moment of the shooting was “live.” She said, “If you wanted to live, then put the pedal to the metal and drive when the guy is trying to jump in your car and grab your gun!”

GRACE SLAMMING WILSON

I can't ever remember ever agreeing with Nancy Grace, but in this instance, she is spot on.

EBOLAPALOOZA

COLBERT POINTING TO CNN EBOLA HYSTERIA

Comics alike simply cannot resist the Monday Ebola segment from CNN’s “Legal View” with Ashleigh Banfield.

On his titular program last night, Stephen Colbert was no different - when he grabbed CNN's gaffe and rolled with it:
“Folks, you can smell the fear thanks to heroes like CNN, who have asked the question, ‘Ebola: The ISIS of biological agents?’” riffed the host. “Oh yeah, oh yeah, it is — without a doubt. Scientists have long compared diseases to murderous madmen. That’s why epidemiologists call tuberculosis ‘Lung Hitler.’

The slamming of CNN is to a great extent justified. Consider the speculation that flowed from Banfield during the segment: “All ISIS would need to do is send a few of its suicide killers into an Ebola-affected zone and then get them on some mass transit somewhere where they would need to be to effect the most damage,” she said, summing up the argument for chaos.

To quell Banfield's amped up Ebola charge, the CNN segment did infuse some sanity, when they allotted the views of Dr. Amar Safdar, an associate professor at New York University’s Langone Medical Center. Safder who said:
"It’s not an easily communicable disease. It’s not SARS. It’s not MERS. It’s certainly not influenza, and it is not the swine flu and the bird flu that we have encountered. So patients who develop this infection and become sick with this, by the time they get to a point where it is easily transmissible, they are very ill, so they are not taking buses and subways and exposing other people…So the infection, the way it’s transmitted, is quite different than what you would expect that infection that can be easily facilitated and transmitted to masses out there.”

Maybe Banfield is with the wrong cable news group. It would appear to this blogger that her fear tactics are better suited for Faux News.

MARSHA BLACKBURN, NO ORDINARY IDIOT

TENN CONGRESSWOMAN MARSHA BLACKBURN, THE LIGHTS ARE ON BUT NO ONE IS HOME

Step aside Sarah Palin, move over Michelle Bachman, there is a not so new idiot in town - amongst the ranks of the Tin Foil Hat Society, that is seeking top billing of queen idiot of the Galactically Stupid!

Now enters Tennessee congresswoman Marsha Blackburn [(R),Tea Bagger] . Once you get passed the annoying chalk screeching southern drawl - once you get passed the minutia of this GOP talking head - once Blackburn is queried aggressively on military tactics, you find that while waving your hand in front of the window that is Marsha Blackburn - That Blackburn is a shill that perfectly personifies stupidity and a blind allegiance to the Koch whores.

Blackburn, in typical tea bagger fashion, when pressed hard on an issue, deflects and never gives you a straight answer.

BANFIELD VS BLACKBURN

It's hard to believe, that any American in today's world, would they actually go to the polls to cast a vote for someone who is so obviously uninformed and pre-programmed as this bullshit artist - but sadly it happens millions of times each election cycle.

It looks like we're truly screwed if this sort of thing can happen on such a regular basis.

MORE MARSHA BLACKBURN

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Blackburn is a by product of the Koch whores [David and Charles]. Blackburn's response to CNN's Banfield's pressing query is typical Blackburn, Southern aristocrat with equal parts of condescension and incredulity with the intent to - "when you can't dazzle with brilliance, baffle with bullshit".

Marsha Blackburn has been emitting high quality stupid for some time. Blackburn is yet another elected congressperson who is totally incapable - inept of showing any leadership skill sets whatsoever - or having a cognizant thought process of her own.

Republicans are outraged that CNN and Banfield could attack their "Southern Belle" with such tough direct questions regarding such real matters as troops on the ground fighting their wars. To all the outraged tea baggers, CNN deeply regrets this sudden and unforeseen outbreak of journalism and assures the public that this shall never happen again. [Snark]

A tip for Ms. Blackburn, when you are clueless on such matters, that it is "better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt".

Marsha Blackburn, you are the worlds tool of the day. Congratulations!
