LIKE MOST THINGS CLOWNSTICK, HIS CHARITY APPEARS TO BE AS CORRUPT AS HE IS

The ongoing battle between David Fahrenthold and Fuckface Von Clownstick is going to round three. Fahrenhold’s newest exposé in the Washington Post, which details his ongoing investigation into the secret dealings of the Trump Foundation. In this latest installment, Fahrenthold found that the Trump Foundation wasn’t registered with the New York state government requiring it to be.

New York requires a certification process before any charity can solicit $25,000 or more. Trump’s didn’t do this. Had the foundation registered, however, there likely would have been audits and investigations into the spending and some of the dealings that are now being revealed. They did manage to file the required IRS reports.

The New York Attorney General has opened an investigation into the foundation, but it is unclear if these new findings will be part of the investigation.

The foundation has received over $2.3 million from businesses owing Trump or his company money, however, they were instructed by Trump or his company to pay the foundation instead. The Trump Foundation also solicited small-dollar donations from supporters under the guise that the money would be donated to a veterans charity. The website advertised that the donations totaled $1.67 million.

On two different occasions, the foundation was used to settle legal disputes. In 2007, it dolled out $100,000 for a suit involving Mar-a-Lago Club. Just five years later it paid $158,000 to Martin Greenberg on the same day he settled a lawsuit against Trump’s golf courses. Most recently, Trump’s foundation made a donation to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi’s campaign just four days before her office decided not to participate in a lawsuit against Trump University.

The Trump Foundation has also purchased paintings of Trump, one of which is hanging in his hotel property. The campaign claimed that the resort is merely “storing” the painting. Trump also purchased a signed Tim Tebow helmet with the foundation’s money.

While Trump may have initially been the only donor in the 1990s, he began soliciting and scoring major donations in the early 2000s and never filed the appropriate paperwork. According to the law soliciting money means “to directly or indirectly make a request for a contribution, whether express or implied, through any medium.”

Trump admitted earlier this year that he doesn’t know whether or not his foundation has broken the law. When accusing Hillary Clinton and her family’s foundation of impropriety, Trump demanded a special prosecutor be appointed.

When pressed on the issue during an interview, son Eric (Uday) Trump shut it down.

“THOSE PEOPLE”

Scottie Nell Hughes’ latest attempt to boost Cheeto Jesus’ pitch to black voters was quickly challenged by political strategist Angela Rye.

In arguing that Trump could bring jobs and “hope” to black communities, Hughes told host Anderson Cooper that “it’s these urban areas, 44 cities, where crime is going up as well as gang violence. So there’s an issue that needs to be addressed by those kinds of — those communities, and they need to be supported whether it’s through law enforcement or education.”

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

“A couple of things. One is — gun violence specifically — the overall crime rate has been on a steady decline since the 1980s,” Rye said in response. “But I think that it’s really important to watch the words that we use. When we say, ‘Those communities, those people,’ who are we talking about?”
Rye then alluded to an interview aired earlier in the segment in which three black women whose sons each died as a result of shootings expressed skepticism regarding Trump’s boast that he could solve Chicago’s crime issues in “a week.”

She also made reference to the Black Lives Matter movement’s emphasis on the disproportionate lack of empathy shown toward black shooting victims.
“Donald Trump was busy calling people who look like me thugs, blaming the victim in these instances of gun violence and police brutality,” said Rye. “That is deeply troubling to me and not only to me, but I’m sure to several other — I can’t speak for all African-Americans — but to other African-Americans.”

COULD ORANGE HITLER PASS A SANITY TEST?

OLBERMANN ASK'S, CAN TRUMPENSTEIN PASS A SANITY TEST?

Keith Olbermann attempted to understand Republican presidential nominee Orange Hitler aka [Donald Trump] this week through the lens of clinical psychology and determined that the candidate could not pass one of the most widely used “sanity” assessments used to predict criminal and antisocial behavior.

In a column for Vanity Fair that was published on Thursday, Olbermann noted that Trump had repeatedly questioned the sanity of his rivals, including Glenn Beck, Ben Carson, Barack Obama, Ted Cruz and Megyn Kelly.

VIDEO COURTESY OF VANITY FAIR

To evaluate Trump, Olbermann chose a test developed by Canadian criminal psychologist Robert D. Hare. “The Hare Psychopathy Checklist,” Olbermann explained, “serves as a kind of triage device to separate the injured from the tripping from the psychopathic.”

The test awards points for 20 different personality traits. With a maximum score of 40, the test sets the threshold for clinical psychopathy at 30 points.

The Hare checklist considers traits like grandiose sense of self-worth, pathological lying, shallow affect, lack of empathy, parasitic lifestyle, promiscuous sexual behavior, early behavior problems, irresponsibility and failure to accept responsibility for one’s own actions.

And out of 40 possible points, Trump scored 32 — putting him over the 30 point threshold for a diagnosis of clinical psychopathy.
“The implications are clear,” Olbermann wrote. “Our Trumperor’s New Clothes media rightly sees the latest Trump ‘event’—whatever it is this time—as one of the most unbelievable developments in American political history. But the simple mechanics of following, reporting, and writing the proverbial ‘new high in low’ every single day means that they could be missing one overriding truth about the health of the most remarkable presidential candidate since at least 1864.”
“In short, our amateurs’ exercise with the very professional Hare Psychopathy Checklist suggests that if you were betting on it, you’d probably want to bet that Donald Trump couldn’t pass a sanity test—open book,” Olbermann concluded.

We miss Oblermann’s political daily input, and I for one certainly wish we could get him back on the airwaves - as there is not a better slayer of the green slimy two toed sloth [GOP] than Olbermann!

GIULIANI GETS SCHOOLED BY D.L. HUGHLEY

D. L. Hughley fired back at Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday after the former New York mayor claimed that Black Lives Matter was “inherently racist” and was “quickly becoming a terrorist group.”“You cannot tell me ‘all lives matter’ when some are treated distinctly different,” Hughley explained to CNN’s Chris Cuomo. “I can mourn for police officers that are slain and I can mourn for two young black men that were slain. I don’t have a moral dilemma in that.”
“I think that ‘all lives matter’ is a perversion of what makes Black Lives Matter special,” Cuomo agreed. “There is an obvious inequity.”
“Police officers have fears and biases,” Hughley explained. “But if your fears and biases get me killed, and my anger and frustration get you killed — act human, we are no more or no less human. Every time you turn around, somebody is making a moral reason why somebody was slain in the streets and it’s an aberrant behavior, and it would be aberrant if I said a young black man slaughtered five police officer or you see five police officers slay black men.”
“When Rudy Giuliani says that Black Live Matter are terrorists,” he continued, “let me tell you something, I don’t think all black people or all white people are all anything. But to be castigated with the same brush that they did [Dallas shooter] Micah Johnson would be the equivalent of me telling you all white people think like [Charleston church shooter] Dylann Roof. And that would be deeply offensive.”

VIDEO COURTESY OF CNN

According to Hughley, some in the media had failed to challenge Giuliani “because a lot of people want that narrative because it edifies their perspective.”
“Do you think he was trying to make a more innocuous point, have a love of humanity?” Cuomo wondered.
“I think there was nothing loving about that situation,” Hughley insisted. “I think he was brutal mayor who basically had a reign of terror of black people in this country — in this city. To me, taking advice from Rudy Giuliani is like Kim Kardashian giving me marriage advice. It is ridiculous.”
“It is ridiculous when you have a person who has set up some of the most heinous thing that have happened to black people in this country, and to say something like that every time somebody says something about injustice, they are the terrorists,” the comedian opined. “MLK would be considered a terrorist, Gandhi was a terrorist, Mandela was a terrorist. And all they were trying to do was fight for justice.”

"And to me, when old white men tell black men how to act, that’s the most ridiculous thing in the world. To tell black people to speak a certain way and to act a certain way is no different from telling a woman how to dress so she doesn’t get raped.”

Rudy Giuliani, congrats, you are today's worst person in the world. Enjoy numbnuts!

"ANY PURE BREED'S LEFT"?

Katrina Pierson, the national spokesperson for Fuckface Von CLownstick presidential campaign, on Sunday defended her call for a “pure breed” president by arguing that she was a “half-breed” like President Barack Obama.

In 2012, Pierson had complained that both then-GOP nominee Mitt Romney and Obama were not “pure breeds” because their fathers had not been born in the United States. She has also quipped on Twitter that Obama was refusing to help the black community even though he was the “head Negro in charge.”

On Sunday, Pierson told CNN’s Brian Stelter that “even minorities and women” were supporting Trump.

Stelter reminded Pierson that she had griped that Obama was not a “pure breed.”

“Would you like to retract that?” he wondered.
“No, not at all,” she replied. “These tweets — I’m an activist and I am a half-breed. I’m always getting called a half-breed. And on Twitter when you’re fighting with liberals and even establishment, you go back at them in the same silliness they are giving you.”

“So, I myself am a half-breed,” Pierson added. “We have entered silly season. Donald Trump is up in the polls. There’s desperate campaigns out there, they can’t take him down so they try to take down the people that are around him. And we’re just not going to get distracted by all that nonsense.”

CLOWNSTICK NUTTER DOES IT AGAIN

Fuckface Von Clownstick Nutter Katrina Pierson Wearing Bullet Necklace

Fuckface Von Clownstick Nutter Katrina Pierson responded to criticism over her fashion decision to wear a necklace featuring bullets during a CNN interview, the spokesperson for Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign sarcastically suggested that she might wear a fetus around her neck during her next TV appearance.

Katrina Pierson, whose appearances on TV representing the billionaire businessman only seem to add more controversy to his campaign, stopped by CNN”s “The Lead” to discuss Trump’s decision to go after former President Bill Clinton while wearing the necklace made up of interlinked bullet cartridges.

While little attention was paid to her message, her choice of jewelry became a topic of discussion on social media with some wondering if she was pandering to the NRA for her boss.

Writing on Twitter, Shannon Watts, the Founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, asked: “Surely @KatrinaPierson wore bullet necklace on #CNN to bring attention to 90 Americans fatally shot daily #gunsense.”

Pierson responded almost immediately, writing, “Maybe I’ll wear a fetus next time& bring awareness to 50 million aborted people that will never get to be on Twitter.”

Via Twitter, Shannon Watts, the Founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, asked: “Surely @KatrinaPierson wore bullet necklace on #CNN to bring attention to 90 Americans fatally shot daily #gunsense.”

Pierson responded almost immediately, writing, “Maybe I’ll wear a fetus next time & bring awareness to 50 million aborted people that will never get to be on Twitter.”

To date, every time this asshat has had an appearance on CNN she has brought the lunatic fringe from the insane asylum - the type of lunacy that brings outrage to those with an IQ above negative 500 -  which can be attributed and associate with every political tactical move the Trump campaign makes.

Pierson recently criticized the other GOP presidential candidates over their reluctance to commit to using nuclear weapons on America’s enemies, glibly stating, “What good does it do to have a good nuclear triad if you’re afraid to use it?”

In another appearance she dismissed criticism of Trump’s since retracted proposal to ban Muslims — including American citizens — from the U.S., saying: “So what? They’re Muslim.”

Pierson’s douchbaggery is matched by none, as nothing is beyond the pale of this nutter. For this effort, Katrina has earned today’s worst person in the world award. Enjoy nutter!

FUCKFACE VON CLOWNSTICK CALLING HILLARY DISGUSTING IS A POT AND KETTLE MOMENT

FUCKFACE VON CLOWNSTICK

Republican Nutter, Fuckface Von Clownstick [aka Donald Trump] used a campaign stop in Michigan on Monday to make astonishingly sexist attacks against Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

At one point, Clownstick told the Grand Rapids crowd that Clinton got “schlonged” by President Obama during their 2008 Democratic primary race.
“Even her race to Obama. She was going to beat Obama. I don’t know who’d be worse. I don’t know. How does it get worse? She was favored to win and she got schlonged. She lost. She lost,” Clownstick said.

“Schlong” is a well-known reference to a man’s genitals. There are no alternative definitions for the word, according to Merriam-Webster.

Clownstick also used his speech to attack Clinton for using the bathroom.

Discussing her brief disappearance during Saturday’s Democratic debate while she was using the lavatory, Clownstick told the crowd, “Where did Hillary go? They had to start the debate without her. Phase two. Why? I know where she went. It’s disgusting. I don’t want to talk about it. It’s too disgusting. Don’t say it, it’s disgusting. We want to be very, very straight up.”

FUCKFACE VON CLOWNSTICK SUFFERS AS A YOUNG MAN BY BEING "LOANED" ONE COOL MILLION BY DAD AND EXPECTS US TO FEEL SORRY FOR HIM

White billionaires born into massive privilege aren’t usually known for their rags-to-riches tales, but Trump is trying to sell one to the American public. Or, at least, to Matt Lauer.

In a recent interview, the Donald told NBC, “My whole life really has been a ‘no’ and I fought through it. It has not been easy for me, it has not been easy for me. And you know I started off in Brooklyn, my father gave me a small loan of a million dollars.”

This bit of deluded runaway privilege was too good for Stephen Colbert to pass up, so he took time out Wednesday night to mock the GOP ex-frontrunner.

“Clearly, this is an inspiring tale of a young man made good,” Colbert said. “The classic story of riches to richer. Donald was just a humble boy from the boroughs and wanted nothing more than to escape his provincial life and make his way in the big city… Donald dared to venture into a land he didn’t own.”

Donald Trump has long tried to sell a tale of scrappy, self-made man, but it has been exposed over and over again as largely bogus.

Reality is, that 99 percent of this country eke by without a penny from mom or dad, let alone a million dollars.

WHEN GOP INSTANT HEROES TURN INTO DIPSHITS

Last nights episode of HBO's Real Time - New Rules segment- slammed Republican role models gone awry.
“Republicans have to stop being surprised when their instant heroes turn out to be embarrassments,” Maher said. “They’re so anxious to buddy-up to the forgotten good people that when a Kim Davis or a ‘Joe the Plumber’ or a Cliven Bundy come along, they rush to say ‘Now here’s a real American’ when they should be saying ‘What’s up with this asshole?'”

Maher then specifically turned his attention to Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis, the woman who has refused to comply with federal law and issue same-sex marriage licenses.
“Kim Davis turned out to be everything conservatives hate,” said Maher. “She gave birth to two children out of wedlock and she’s been married four times. According to her, the answer to ‘What would Jesus do?’ is ‘everybody.'”
Maher then recounted Cliven Bundy’s racist statements and George Zimmerman’s ongoing encounters with law enforcement, before setting his sights on Josh Duggar.

WHEN IT COMES TO CONSREVATIVES - CHERRY PICKING MAN’S LAW AND GOD’S LAW - ITS THE RULE AND NOT THE EXCEPTION

Wing-Nut Mike Huckabee argued on Wednesday that the 1857 Supreme Court ruling which declared that blacks did not have a right to be citizens was “still the law of the land” even though the 14th Amendment overturned it.

During an interview with radio host Michael Medved that was obtained by BuzzFeed, the former Arkansas governor complained that he had been “drilled by TV hosts” after claiming that Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis did not have an obligation to issue same-sex marriage licenses because the Supreme Court’s recent decision on marriage equality was not “the law of the land” until lawmakers codified it with legislation.
“Because that’s their phrase, ‘it’s the law of the land,'” Huckabee explained.
“Michael, the Dred Scott decision of 1857 still remains to this day the law of the land which says that black people aren’t fully human. Does anybody still follow the Dred Scott Supreme Court decision?”

Medved reminded the candidate that the 13th Amendment had overturned slavery. And as BuzzFeed’s Christopher Massie noted, the 14th Amendment overturned the Dred Scott decision by establishing birthright citizenship.

Huckabee insisted that a constitutional amendment would not be required to overturn the same-sex marriage ruling because it was not valid in the first place.
“I don’t think that’s necessary,” the former governor opined. “Because, in the case of this decision, it goes back to what Jefferson said that if a decision is rendered that is not borne out by the will of the people either through their elected people and gone through the process, if you just say, it’s the law of the land because the court decided, then Jefferson said, ‘You now have surrendered to judicial tyranny.’”
“The Supreme Court in the same-sex marriage decision made a law and they made it up out of thin air,” he added. “Therefore, until Congress decides to codify that and give it a statute it’s really not an operative law and that’s why what Kim Davis did was operate under not only the Kentucky Constitution which was the law under which she was elected but she’s operating under the fact that there’s no statute in her state nor at the federal level that authorizes her.”

DIPSHIT PALIN WANTS TO BE TRUMPS ENERGY SECRETARY

THIS IDIOT WANTS TO BE TRUMPS ENERGY SECRETARY

Snowbillie Sarah Palin says that if Donald Trump becomes president of the United States, she wants to be his Secretary of Energy.

As Palin was speaking with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday, the conversation shifted to a discussion of businessman and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who recently said that he would “love” to have her in his cabinet if he won the White House. When asked which position she would want in a hypothetical Trump administration, Palin was quick to answer: Energy Secretary.
“I think a lot about the Department of Energy, because energy is my baby: oil and gas and minerals, those things that God has dumped on this part of the Earth for mankind’s use instead of us relying on unfriendly foreign nations,” she said, using a conservative theological argument to justify wanton use of fossil fuels — an argument that has been debunked by none other than Pope Francis.

Palin went on to explain that her theoretical tenure as Energy Secretary would be short, primarily because she would immediately disband the entire department.
“If I were head of [the Department of Energy], I’d get rid of it,” she said. “And I’d let the states start having more control over the lands that are within their boundaries and the people who are affected by the developments within their states. If I were in charge of that, it would be a short-term job, but it would be really great to have someone who knows energy and is pro-responsible development to be in charge.”
Palin isn’t alone in her desire to disband the Department of Energy, a crucial component of the federal government established by President Jimmy Carter that oversees, among other things, the safety and security of America’s nuclear weapons. Several Republicans have called for its abolishment in the past, and current Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry has said in the past that he wanted to close it down, although he famously forgot the name of it during a debate in 2012.

Every time this idiots opens her mouth - she is a mockery to everything human. God help us all if this dipshit ever holds a Presidential cabinet office.

MEXICANS MORE DANGEROUS THAN SHARKS?

Conservative asshat Ann Coulter over weekend compared shark attacks to Mexican immigrants, who she concluded were much more dangerous.

During an interview on Fox News, Coulter argued that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s controversial assertion that immigrants were rapists had been vindicated because a because the suspect in a recent San Francisco killing was an undocumented immigrant who had been deported five times.
“I’m dying to know if Jeb Bush attacks Donald Trump for his comments the actual day [Kate Steinle] was murdered by an illegal immigrant or the next day,” she quipped. “I’m gathering he won’t be speaking at her funeral.”
“You know, going into this weekend, the media was consumed with stories, Americans have to be on the lookout for ISIS attacks and terror attack expected, and oh, shark attacks,” Coulter declared. “I will bet you by the end of the weekend, more Americans will have been killed by Mexicans than by ISIS or by sharks.”
According to Coulter, the story of Steinle’s death had not been “covered up” like most crimes committed by immigrants because it had happened in a liberal city.

“There are so many drunk driving accidents, so many Americans being killed and raped in places liberals don’t go,” she opined. “They just take the cheap labor.”
Coulter argued that Republican candidates were making a mistake by campaigning to Latino voters because it was a lost cause.
“Whether it’s feminist, the abortion ladies, the gun hysterics, and now they are obsessed with getting the Hispanic vote,” she explained. “It repeatedly doesn’t work. And the most His-pandering president we ever had was George Bush, and it was ‘Oh whoa, he got 40 percent of the Hispanic vote.’ Well that’s still losing.”

MEET ROBERT RANKIN DOGGART

Robert Rankin Doggart, a former candidate for Congress, admitted in federal court to “plotting the annihilation” of a village in New York that is home to many Muslims. Doggart’s plans included “burning down a school, a mosque and a cafeteria,” according to the criminal complaint.

“We’re gonna be carrying an M4 with 500 rounds of ammunition, light armor piercing. A pistol with three extra magazines, and a machete. And if it gets down to the machete, we will cut them to shreds,” Doggart allegedly said according to the transcript of a wiretap cited in the complaint. He also allegedly tried to recruit other individuals to participate in his plot through a Facebook group.

As part of a plea agreement, Doggart pled guilt to “interstate communication of threats” and faces up to five years in prison. He was in jail awaiting final sentencing.

But a federal judge, Curtis Collier, may not accept the guilty plea. He’s ordered the prosecution and defense to produce briefs proving that Doggart was a “true threat.”

Meanwhile, a different federal judge, Magistrate Susan K. Lee, released Doggart from jail “into the custody of two family members.”

Lee had previously found that Doggart was a “danger to the community.” The government appealed the decision to release Doggart to Judge Collier, who affirmed Lee’s decision.

Doggart’s release has drawn criticism from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim advocacy group. “It is deeply troubling that an individual who has admitted to planning a religiously-motivated terror attack on American Muslims is now free, while the intended targets of his plot remain unprotected,” CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad said in a statement. CAIR had previously criticized the prosecutor’s decision not to treat Doggart’s conduct “as an act of terrorism and to charge the alleged organizer of the attack as a terrorist.”

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center — and academics studying the issue — the United States has focused on combating Islamic extremism but given short shrift to other threats like domestic attacks by right-wing radicals. Since 9/11, “more people have been killed in America by non-Islamic domestic terrorists than jihadists.”

YOU’RE FIRED!

WING-NUT DONALD TRUMP FIRED BY MACY'S

The retail clothing giant Macy’s became the latest company to cut ties with 2016 Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, following his campaign launch speech in which he claimed that some Mexican immigrants are rapists and drug dealers.

In its announcement on Wednesday, Macy’s made a strong statement in support of immigrants — saying that “respect for the dignity of all people is a cornerstone of our culture” and that Trump’s remarks “are inconsistent with Macy’s values” and that his “disparaging characterizations” aren’t an accurate portrayal of Mexicans, Mexican Americans, and Latinos.

“Macy’s is a company that stands for diversity and inclusion,” a statement released to CNN reads. “We have no tolerance for discrimination in any form. We welcome customers, and respect for the dignity of all people is a cornerstone of our culture. We are disappointed and distressed by recent remarks about immigrants from Mexico. We do not believe the disparaging characterizations portray an accurate picture of the many Mexicans, Mexican Americans and Latinos who have made so many valuable contributions to the success of our nation.”
“In light of statements made by Donald Trump, which are inconsistent with Macy’s values, we have decided to discontinue our business relationship with Mr. Trump and will phase-out the Trump menswear collection, which has been sold at Macy’s since 2004,” the company concluded.
There was already momentum for Macy’s to end its business relationship with Trump. Over 700,000 people have signed a longstanding moveon.org petition for the company to cut ties with Trump, a petition that gained steam after his racists remarks. The petition was initially created in the wake of Trump’s involvement in questioning the president’s birth certificate and his stance on climate change, KTLA reported.

Macy’s move to sever its decade-long tie with Trump comes after Univision and NBC canceled their business partnerships with Trump, saying the NBC reality show “Celebrity Apprentice” will no longer support him as host. Mexican billionaire Carlos Slims’ Ora TV has also ended a project with the real estate mogul. And in the fallout of Trump’s statement, Miss Mexico has declined to be in the Miss Universe pageant.

In response to the upheaval, this asshat stated on Wednesday that “clearly NBC and Macy’s support illegal immigration, which is totally detrimental to the fabric of our once great country.”

In another story, the GOP racists have come to trumps aide by making him number two in the GOP clown car. You can't make this shit up.

JAMES INHOFE IS A SPECIAL KIND OF STUPID

Wednesday was a big day for conservative for flat earth society member and wing nut Sen. James Inhofe . In the morning, he officially took the gavel as chairman of the Senate’s Environment Committee. In the afternoon, he took the Senate floor for a long speech about how human-caused climate change is fake.

In sum, the speech has everything. References to the oft-debunked “ClimateGate” stolen e-mail “scandal”, a poster of a Time Magazine cover from 1974 claiming an ice age is coming, and multiple references to former Vice President Al Gore. It has a mention of a survey of weather-casters who think global warming is caused by natural variation, but does not mention that weather-casters are not climate scientists. It even includes the claim that the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change “started” the whole idea that climate change is happening, even though the idea was conceived about 200 years ago.

The video above actually begins a couple minutes in to Inhofe’s speech, with a quote from Richard Lindzen, a former MIT professor and one of the most-cited voices of scientists who think global warming is fake. Lindzen, an atmospheric physicist, has often been characterized as having contrarian scientific opinions. He has also said that the evidence that cigarettes cause lung cancer is not “so strong that one should rule that any questions were out of order.”

Behind Inhofe in the beginning of the video is a list of climate scientists — Lindzen included — who don’t agree with the vast majority of climate scientists who say human-caused carbon emissions are contributing to climate change. Inhofe says he has compiled a list of 4,000 “renowned scientists” scientists who disagree (“this is all in my website,” he said). Inhofe’s list actually has 650 people, some of whom are television meteorologists, geologists, anthropologists, and even a man with no college degree.

Conversely, one of the most recent peer-reviewed studies on the state of climate science showed that out of 4000 abstracts from peer-reviewed papers published in the past 21 years that stated a position on the cause of global warming — 97 percent of these endorsed the point that it was human-caused. In the video, Inhofe says this is “just not true.”

Inhofe also criticizes climatologist Michael Mann’s famous hockey stick graph, which displayed temperatures going back half a millennium, and cites the controversy it received as a reason to believe climate change is fake. He does not mention that the National Academy of Sciences vindicated the hockey stick graph in 2006 as good science, as have multiple other peer-reviewed studies since.

It’s also worthwhile to point out that even if the hockey stick was wrong, even if it didn’t exist, we would still have enough scientific evidence to prove climate change is real and caused by humans. “Climate deniers like to make it seem like the entire weight of evidence for climate change rests on the hockey stick,” Mann told the Atlantic in 2013. “And that’s not the case. We could get rid of all these reconstructions, and we could still know that climate change is a threat, and that we’re causing it.”

Don’t expect this speech to be the end of climate denial in the Senate. Indeed, Inhofe ended his speech by promising more of it, citing his new position as head of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
“Now I’m back in that position so we’ll have a chance to have hearings, and Mr. President, we’re going to have hearings with prominent scientists to come in and talk about this thing,” he said. “We’ll be there to be the truth-squad.”
James Inhofe, you are this week's worst person of the week. Congrats numbnutz!
