ROLLINS PUMMELS MEDIA FOR GIULIANI’S ASSHAT COMMENTS

Henry Rollins took on the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile in his latest column for L.A. Weekly. Rollins also excoriated news outlets for going to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani for analysis.

“The despicable litanies of willfully ignorant denial and misinformation I have heard spouted in the last several days by pieces of shit like Rudy Giuliani all but ensure that things will get worse,” Rollins wrote.

Giuliani appeared on several news shows following both the shootings and the demonstrations they sparked, arguing that black parents should teach their children to fear other members of their communities instead of police, and saying, “I saved a lot more black lives than Black Lives Matter.”

“The mainstream media outlets allow this utter crap to slide by unchallenged and, by doing so, legitimize falsehoods that could get people killed,” the former Black Flag lead singer said in response. “Ratings-based, 24/7, for-profit media is the complete death of true journalism and a catapult for propaganda.”

But in contrast to Giuliani’s rhetoric, Rollins also addressed white privilege in his column, saying that if white Americans “would immediately and collectively lose their minds” if they had to deal with even a fraction of the experiences black Americans go through in connection with the justice system.

“I’m an educated, Caucasian, heterosexual male. Does this ensure I will have success and live the American Dream? Obviously it doesn’t,” he wrote. “But it damn sure drops me on second base with a great opportunity to steal third.”

I’ve been trying to understand the Trump voter better. I know, waste of time. Their candidate, and most of them, just fans the flames of anger and divisiveness.

Why is that? It started over 20 years ago, when the republicans won control of Congress. "To truly achieve the level of change we want, we have to have control," Newt Gingrich said.

How’d that work out? The institution of trade polices that allowed their cronie-capitalist friends to accumulate ever more wealth while the rest of us are left in the dust. I’m not anti-trade; I’m pro fair trade – trade that protects American jobs.

Tax policy? It’s voodoo economic theory. It’s never, ever been successful! Nobel Laureate Paul Krugman warned us about their plan. However, the real threat to America lies deep within their thinking.

Have you ever listened to Ted Cruz? I know, its hard, but try. He professes to be an original intent brand of the Constitutionalist.

Original intent? Sorry, there’s a shovel full on top of Bullshit Mountain. They like term limits, except when it limits them. They like the original intent, but now Cruz thinks there should be limited terms on the Supreme Court. Reminder – the original intent of lifetime appointments was to eliminate transient political influence on the court.

Listening to the speech Marco Rubio gave on the eve of Super Tuesday 3, it struck me how they phony they really are. May God bless the conservative movement - horseshit! The liberals aren’t your enemy. This is not good vs. evil. Marco, this is why you lost - try reading Mathew 5:44 and put that message into your heart.

Fox Told Beck To Not Push Prayer Because It Takes God’s Attention Off Of War

At Ted Cruz rally on Saturday at the Springmaid Beach Resort in South Carolina, Glenn Beck took the stage to stump for his presidential candidate, but the speech quickly turned to being more about himself. The former Fox News host claims that he left his comfortable job for the right-wing network due to his exuberance for prayer.

“I was told, ‘Stop telling people to pray.’ I was told not to tell people to pray on their knees because there’s a lot of people in the audience whose knees hurt and I make them feel bad,” Beck explained in a Facebook video. “I was told, ‘Stop praying because that takes God’s focus off the important things like war.’ I was just like, ‘Uh huh. Wow. I thought I was gonna get this speech at CNN.'”

He explained to the person that he understood the instruction but four months later he was called in and questioned again. They allegedly asked Beck, “do you realize how many times you’ve said the word ‘God’ on the air since?” It was evidently 91 times in over 120 days.

While Beck claims to have had a soul-searching conversation with his wife where they decided he should leave, he claims the “head” didn’t want him to. “I wanted to stay there … the guy who runs the place told me, ‘You’re not leaving.'” Though Beck didn't identify if it was CEO Rupert Murdoch or Fox News head Roger Ailes. He continued, claiming the “guy who runs the place” said that Fox has made Beck rich and famous and “nobody leaves.”

Beck insisted that he said he was leaving anyway “and that’s because God said to me, ‘If you don’t leave now, you’re not going to leave without your soul. Because once you start wanting it, that’s when you start compromising.”

Fox News disputes Beck’s claim, telling Politico several years ago,

“Glenn Beck wasn’t trying to save his soul, he was trying to save his ass. Advertisers fled his show and even Glenn knows what that means in our industry. Yet, we still tried to give him a soft landing. Guess no good deed goes unpunished.”

Beck has been campaigning for Cruz in early primary and caucus states with a religious message going so far as to claim that Cruz will get them through the Rapture. But he isn’t the only one, wife Heidi Cruz gave a radio interview where she talked about how her husband was going to “show the face of God” to America.

…Says the Fox News host of Outnumbere. Harris Faulkner suggested on Tuesday that daughters could be put into convents or kept “home in the kitchen” to prevent them from getting sexually assaulted at college fraternities.

After the Sigma Nu fraternity suspended their Old Dominion Chapter this week for hanging banners warning parents that daughters should be “ready for a good time,” Fox News host Harris Faulkner said that it was a sign that she needed to get her daughters “ready for the real world.”

“These guys are teenagers and in their twenties and they were probably drunk when they were writing the signs,” Faulkner explained. “And they’re just having a good time.”

Co-host Andrea Tantaros predicted that college women would go to the fraternity in spite of the signs if there were “hot boys.”

“Ray Rice in the NFL, how many women were still wearing his jersey after we all had seen the video and knew what was going on?” Faulkner recalled.

“The signs are disgusting and the university has to take a stand on this because of what’s going on with rape culture,” Tantaros continued. “The university has to stand up and say, ‘If something happens at that house, we cannot be responsible.’ But not even that, it’s PR. They have to protect the brand of Old Dominion University.”

According to co-host Kennedy Montgomery, the signs were “a backlash that these guys are feeling about being told that they are predators. And oftentimes, you see the pendulum swing the opposite way.”

“I hope they are focusing on keeping the women safe,” Faulkner said.

“My daughters are going to a convent,” Montgomery volunteered.

“I’m going to keep them home in the kitchen,” Faulkner agreed.

Sometimes when I’m loading my magazines, I like to just look at her. And I usually sit naked on the couch dropping hot brass on my stuff.”

Jon Stewart opened The Daily Show on Wednesday by addressing the media furor over his “secret” meetings with President Barack Obama, while mocking Fox News and Politico for hyping the encounters.

“It was a roundtable meeting with the President, Elvis — still alive — Minister [Louis] Farrakhan, and the Area 51 alien,” Stewart quipped. “We opened with the traditional Saul Alinsky prayer, sucked on the blood of the righteous, and took turns fucking a replica of the Reagan eye socket. The real Reagan eye socket is kept in the Smithsonian and is only fucked on Christmas.”

While Politico misidentified Stewart’s executive producer, Steve Bodow, as “Scott Budow,” Stewart said, Fox went out of its way to describe the meetings as Stewart being “summoned” clandestinely, despite the host’s visits being recorded on the official White House logs.

“Something is not a secret just because you don’t know about it,” Stewart chided, saying he agreed to meet with Obama because “If the president tells you to and you don’t, who the f*ck knows what would happen?”

In reality, the host said, his discussions with Obama played out not unlike his final interview with the president last week: spending the majority of the time arguing over issues like the Affordable Care Act website or the Veterans Affairs Bureau over salmon dishes.

Stewart did confess that, during his tenure leading the show, he had been approached by individuals ranging from “tech giants, to financial captains, to Billy Joel,” all basically asking, “Jon, why are you such an assshole?” — and the meetings with Obama were no different. Among those people, he noted, was Fox News chief Roger Ailes.

Columnist Dan Savage pointed out on Thursday that Bristol Palin’s announcement regarding her second pregnancy will likely be treated more favorably by conservatives, compared to their usual rhetoric regarding single mothers.

“If Bristol Palin’s last name was ‘Obama,’ the whole Hee Haw gang at Fox News would spend half of every day for the next nine months telling us that Bristol Obama has terrible parents — ‘Maybe Michelle should be less concerned with what your kids are eating and more concerned with what her kids are doing!’ — and the other half of the day pretending to fret over the terrible example that Bristol Obama was setting for other African American women and girls,” Savage wrote.

Palin, who has made thousands of dollars as a pro-abstinence speaker, made the announcement on her Patheos blog, saying she was forced to do so by “constant trolls.”

“When life gets tough, there is no other option but to get tougher,” she stated. “I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you.”

Savage argued that Palin’s announcement exposed her hypocrisy regarding marriage equality, since she has criticized President Barack Obama for not explaining to his daughters that “in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home.”

“Both probably have friends with gay and lesbian parents — they live in the White House, after all, and they go to Sidwell Friends — but seeing as Obama was for marriage equality all along, it was Obama who shaped his daughters’ views on marriage equality and not the other way around,” Savage said. “So, hey, it looks like Obama was doing what you wanted him to do, Bristol: He wasn’t listening to his kids. He was shaping their worldview. Happy now?

News host Sean Hannity and conservative radio host Kevin Jackson tried to paint Ferguson activist Deray McKesson as a “professional protester” during a contentious interview on Tuesday.

“You haven’t been to the funeral of any cop that was killed in the line of duty, I’ll bet you that,” Jackson told McKesson. “I bet you haven’t saved up for that. I bet you haven’t been to the celebration ceremonies of cops who protected many, many black people for decades. I bet you haven’t been to the funeral of any of the kids that are killed that aren’t in these types of scenarios where race-baiters and race pimps like you appear.”

Jackson also accused McKesson of traveling around the US “starting problems” in the hopes of gaining notoriety.

“So, Kevin, have you been to the funerals of all the victims of Sandy Hook?” McKesson responded. “Or all the victims of Katrina? Do you not care about those, Kevin? Do you not care, Kevin?”

As McKesson went on, Jackson yelled at him, repeating his accusations.

“You should stop yelling,” McKesson said. “You want me to feed into this narrative. I’ve answered the question many times, and I’ll say it again to you: I’m going to places like many others, where the police have killed people.”

Before McKesson could continue, however, Hannity began chiming in on top of Jackson’s yelling.

“Do you believe cops are innocent until proven guilty?” the host asked.

McKesson responded by citing the attack on 15-year-old Dajerria Becton by former McKinney, Texas police officer Eric Casebolt. Casebolt resigned his position on Tuesday after video of the incident spread online.

“What I believe is that that girl should not have been abused, and Mike Brown should be alive,” McKesson said. “Freddie Gray should be alive.”

Hannity — who argued earlier this week that Casebolt could have been “shanked” by black teenagers during the encounter — began the segment by bemoaning the increase in “anti-police protesters” focusing on “select incidents,” and scoffed at McKesson’s intent to organize a 501 (c)(3) group to continue his work.

“Is this what you do for a living, you want to set up a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization?” Hannity asked. “Is this your profession now?” 

“I’m somebody who’s focused on justice,” McKesson told him. “Is this a question you’re asking me because I’m a person of color? Would you ask white people this, too?” 

“It has nothing to do with race,” Hannity replied after stammering. “It has to do with, is this your profession? You’re tweeting out that you’re a professional protestor.” 

Later, Hannity asked if McKesson had been involved in any “rioting” or “looting,” adding, “A lot of minority store owners lost their life’s possessions in these riots.” 

“There has been property damage in some cities, and I’ve not participated in that,” McKesson said. 

“Do you still believe that false and proven false narrative of ‘Hands Up, Don’t Shoot’?” Hannity asked. 

“I think that Michael Brown should be alive today,” McKesson replied. “And that he was murdered by a cop who used his power because he knew that power would be protected.”

“They demand accountability for anger and divisiveness whilst holding themselves entirely unaccountable for their anger and divisiveness. For two years, they used Benghazi as shorthand, as a symbol for the whole concept of a corrupt, lying, tyrannical — possibly murderous — Obama White House,” Stewart said. “Kind of how other people used ‘Hands Up Don’t Shoot’ as a symbol for systemic racism. There’s really only one difference between the two phenomena: systemic racism actually exists.”

Stewart pointed out that, while Fox hosts have focused all of their attention on a Justice Department report finding no evidence that Michael Brown had his hands up when he was shot and killed by Officer Darren Wilson last year, they have pointedly ignored that the department also found extensive evidence that Wilson’s colleagues on the Ferguson Police Department systematically targeted the city’s black residents for citations and traffic stops — a pattern of discrimination which lent itself to a flashpoint incident like the shooting.

Jon Stewart observed on The Daily Show on Thursday that the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) findings regarding the shooting of Michael Brown and police in Ferguson, Missouri last year had something for everyone — including Fox News.

“Let the self-vindicating gloating begin,” Stewart said before showing clips of Megyn Kelly and Sean Hannity saying the federal investigation exonerated Officer Darren Wilson, who killed Brown.

But while the department opted not to charge Wilson in connection with the shooting, Stewart pointed out, it also described an institutionalized system of racially-biased policing in the city as a whole.

CNN's Brian Stelter spoke to former CBS correspondent Eric Engberg about his recent post questioning of Bill O'Reilly's version of events on his reporting in Argentina. Stelter asked Engberg at the end of the segment if he had a vendetta against O'Reilly and whether this was about a personal dispute.

ENGBERG: No. He's the one that started the personal dispute by saying that we were all hiding in our hotel rooms... By the way, I do have this personal dispute with him. He's not a real reporter and he was not in a combat zone that night. This was not a combat zone. Not even close.

Most humans with an IQ above 3 were aware of this but it's nice to hear someone say it on cable news. Engberg's description of O'Reilly is most definitely devastating hit to the blowhard.

Did Fox News bloviater Bill O'Reilly commit Brian Williams type fabrications when he claimed he had been in a "combat situation" while working as a reporter for CBS News during the Falklands War in 1982? Did he pad his resume' as he was laying claim to personal knowledge about what happens in war? The issue has arisen because the "Mother Jones" magazine Washington bureau chief David Corn has written a story, largely based on recollections of CBS News senior staffers, comparing O'Reilly's statements about his war experience to the fabrications which sent NBC anchor Williams into a six-month suspension. 

I can provide some eyewitness information on this matter because I was one of the correspondents in Buenos Aires with O'Reilly and the rest of the rather large staff of CBS News people who were there "covering" the war. To begin with "covering" is an overstatement of what we were doing. Corn is correct in pointing out that the Falkland Islands, where the combat between Great Britain and Argentina took place, was a thousand miles away from Buenos Aires. We were in Buenos Aires because that's the only place the Argentine military junta would let journalists go. Our knowledge of the war was restricted to what we could glean from comically deceitful daily briefings given by the Argentine military and watching government-controlled television to try to pick up a useful clue from propaganda broadcasts. We -- meaning the American networks -- were all in the same, modern hotel and we never saw any troops, casualties or weapons. It was not a war zone or even close. It was an "expense account zone." 

O'Reilly, freshly hired by CBS, arrived in Buenos Aires a few days before the British expeditionary force defeated the Argentine occupiers. He was, as he is today, full of brio and confidence. I remember him asking me how I liked my assignment. When I said I was tired of living in a hotel and wanted to go home he said, "Call your agent." Back in those days calling your agent to complain about the company's decision-making would have been a career-ender, but he didn't seem to understand matters of the CBS internal secret wooglies, which included the rule that you did as you were told. I should have known he was headed for trouble, but I just thought he was a rookie who would learn. Yeah, right. 

Within a couple of days of his arrival the British Army and Marines had completed their land assault on the Falklands capital and forced the Argentines to surrender. The Argentine public, who had been living under a murderous, corrupt military government for years, were driven into the streets of their capital by rage over the loss of a war they had been repeatedly told their army was winning. As night fell after the surrender statement, several thousand people gathered in the streets around the presidential palace to protest. All the members of the CBS reporting staff and all the two-person camera crews we had in Buenos Aires were sent in to the street. I believe there were four or five crews. The reporters, as I remember, were O'Reilly, Chuck Gomez, Charles Krause, Bob Schieffer and myself. Somewhere it has been reported that O'Reilly has claimed he was the only CBS News reporter who had the courage to go into the street because the rest of us were hiding in our hotel. If he said such thing it is an absolute lie. Everyone was working in the street that night, the crews exhibiting their usual courage. O'Reilly was the one person who behaved unprofessionally and without regard for the safety of the camera crew he was leading. 

The CBS bureau chief in Buenos Aires, Larry Doyle, an ex-Marine LRRP, was something of a legend among CBSers because of his personal courage and his knowledge about how to do your job without exposing yourself to undue danger. Early that night in Buenos Aires he assembled the camera crews in our hotel newsroom and instructed them to refrain from using the lights on their cameras while around crowds. Television lights attracted potentially violent people and also made the camera-person an easier target for demonstrators throwing rocks. We all knew that the Argentine public was angry at the U.S. for supporting Britain in the war, so American journalists might become a target for mob violence. So, O'Reilly has been correct in describing the situation in Buenos Aires as somewhat dicey for reporters. If he was nervous, I can see why. 

The riot around the presidential palace was actually short-lived. It consisted mostly of chanting, fist-shaking and throwing coins at the uniformed soldiers who were assembled outside the palace. I did not see any police attacks against demonstrators. According to Doyle, O'Reilly returned to the hotel in a rage over the fact that his cameraman wouldn't turn on the lights to photograph angry crowds. Doyle defended the cameraman and chewed out O'Reilly for violating his instructions on lights. When Doyle looked at the tape shot by O'Reilly's cameraman he saw that the video included stand-ups -- on camera description by the reporter -- which O'Reilly had ordered the cameraman to shoot -- with his light on. Doyle was further upset by this tape, which clearly showed that his orders on lights had been unilaterally violated by O'Reilly. The issue here was safety. 

CBS was doing a late night re-cap of the Falkland's story. As always the Buenos Aires bureau had no combat video footage to offer, so our part of the special would be the demonstrations, which had been well covered by three or four camera crews, including the one working with O'Reilly. All that footage was blended into the main story, narrated by Schieffer, who had been in Buenos Aires for weeks as the anchor on the scene. When Doyle informed O'Reilly that Schieffer would be doing the report, which would not include any segment from O'Reilly, the reporter exploded. "I didn't come down here to have my footage used by that old man," he shouted. Doyle was stunned. First O'Reilly had defiantly ordered a cameraman to disregard his orders on using lights, and now he was claiming the right to do a story the producers had decided should be done by the senior correspondent on the scene, Schieffer. This confrontation led the next day to O'Reilly being ordered out of Argentina by the CBS bosses. Doyle had told them O'Reilly was a "disruptive force" who threatened his bureau's morale and cohesion. 

I remember looking on a monitor at the long stand-up O'Reilly ordered his crew to shoot, which was never used on the air. He shot this description in the middle of a clearly angry, chanting crowd. As a reporter I wondered why he would think he needed video of himself standing in the middle of the crowd when his own crew and others had taken plenty of good crowd pictures that didn't have O'Reilly standing in the middle of the frame blocking the action. You don't shoot a long stand-up when you have plenty of good pictures of the event you are covering. What O'Reilly was doing was in the realm of local news. I didn't know at the time that he had also violated the bureau chief's order on use of lights, but I wondered why would any correspondent would imperil his colleagues by turning on lights during a riot. 

O'Reilly has said he was in a situation in Argentina where "my photographer got run down and hit his head and was bleeding from the ear on the concrete and the army was chasing us." The only place where such an injury could have occurred was the relatively tame riot I have described above. Neither Doyle, who would have been immediately informed of injury to any CBS personnel, nor anyone else who was working the story remembers a cameraman being injured that night. No one who reported back to our hotel newsroom after the disturbance was injured; if a cameraman had been "bleeding from the ear" he would have immediately reported that to his superiors at the hotel. This part of O'Reilly's Argentina story is not credible without further confirmation, and O'Reilly should identify the cameraman by name so he can be questioned about the alleged injury. 

The gunfire reported by O'Reilly is equally suspicious. One of our camera crews reported that they believed the Argentine police or army had fired a few rubber bullets at the crowd. That was the only report we received of weapons being fired that night. The crowd had been confined to a relatively small area around the president's palace. It wasn't like there were protests going on all over the city. I did see soldiers armed with rifles on guard around the presidential palace. But they did not take aim at the crowd and I heard no gunfire. No one I talked to as the crowd was breaking up told me they heard gunfire. O'Reilly's claim that the army fired weapons into the crowd is not supported by anyone's recollection. Had that happened, I believe, the riot would have escalated into an uncontrollable attack on government buildings all over the capital. Nothing like that happened. Actually, the military chiefs, yielding to the public outcry over the war's outcome, were willing to give up their offices, which they did the next day. 

I am fairly certain that most professional journalists would refer to the story I have just related as "routine reporting on a demonstration that got a little nasty." O'Reilly, in defending himself yesterday against Corn's "Mother Jones" piece, said "We were in a combat situation in Buenos Aires." He is misrepresenting the situation he covered, and he is obviously doing so to burnish his credentials as a "war correspondent," which is not the work he was performing during the Falklands war. I don't think it's as big a lie as Brian Williams told because O'Reilly hasn't falsely claimed to be the target of an enemy attack, but he has displayed a willingness to twist the truth in a way that seeks to invent a battlefield that did not exist. And he ought to be subject to the same scrutiny Williams faced. He also ought to be ashamed of himself. By the way, "Old Man" Schieffer seemed to do okay as a TV journalist in the years (and there were plenty) after O'Reilly claimed to have been "big footed" by him. Maybe "Old Schieffer" called HIS agent.

Bill O is going down. It's only a matter of time now. His chapstick will soon lose its affect and his only value – his lasting grip to Fox is losing its hold. Everything he regurgitates should be dissected and torn apart. His number is up. We should be biding Bill O a fond adieu very soon - good riddance asshat!

Yesterday David Corn published a scathing piece in Mother Jones about the ridiculous combat lies of Bill O'Reilly. An excerpt:

In April 2013, while discussing the Boston Marathon bombing, O'Reilly shared a heroic tale of his exploits in the Falklands war: 

I was in a situation one time, in a war zone in Argentina, in the Falklands, where my photographer got run down and then hit his head and was bleeding from the ear on the concrete. And the army was chasing us. I had to make a decision. And I dragged him off, you know, but at the same time, I'm looking around and trying to do my job, but I figure I had to get this guy out of there because that was more important. 

Yet his own account of his time in Argentina in his 2001 book, The No Spin Zone, contains no references to O'Reilly experiencing or covering any combat during the Falklands war. In the book, which in part chronicles his troubled stint as a CBS News reporter, O'Reilly reports that he arrived in Buenos Aires soon before the Argentine junta surrendered to the British, ending the 10-week war over control of two territories far off the coast of Argentina. There is nothing in this memoir indicating that O'Reilly witnessed the fighting between British and Argentine military forces—or that he got anywhere close to the Falkland Islands, which are 300 miles off Argentina's shore and about 1,200 miles south of Buenos Aires.

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly angrily denounced a Mother Jones report on Thursday questioning his statements regarding his reporting during the Falklands War in 1982. 

“It’s a hit piece,” O’Reilly told Politico. “Everything I said about what I reported in South and Central America is true. Everything.”

On Thursday, O’Reilly called Corn a “despicable guttersnipe” and said he never claimed to have been on the islands.

David Corn responded with a tweet:

“This Just In: O'Reilly resorts to spin and name-calling. Stay classy”

"To me, the issue here is whether a media figure and journalist like Bill O'Reilly, who claims to be a truth teller, can get away without answering questions about specific statements he's made, and hide behind name calling," Corn told the On Media blog on Thursday. "I would encourage anyone else who covers this story to get Bill O'Reilly to answer those questions - if not to me, than to anyone else."

Corn's remarks came immediately after O'Reilly called Corn "a liar" and a "despicable guttersnipe" during an interview with On Media. O'Reilly said that he "never claimed to have been on the Falkland Islands" and that Corn's report, for Mother Jones, was "a piece of garbage."

INFOTAINMENT CONFUSION SYNDROME

The Daily Show's Jon Stewart weighed in on the Brian Williams debacle and his tales about taking fire in Iraq and whether or not he was suffering from a case of "infotainment confusion syndrome" where the “celebrity cortex” gets its wires crossed with the "medulla-anchor-dala."

After having a bit more fun with Williams and showing the media frenzy over the scandal, Stewart told the audience that this might seem a bit overblown, but he was actually happy.

Finally, someone is being held to account for misleading America about the Iraq War! Finally! Now, it might not necessarily be the first person you'd want held accountable on that list, but never again will Brian Williams mislead this great nation about being shot at in a war we probably wouldn't have ended up in if the media had applied this level of certainty to the actual fucking war.

After verbally bitch slapping the whiners opining over whether the media has a "credibility problem" following the ruckus with Williams, Stewart reminded his audience of the batch of lies we were fed leading up to the invasion of Iraq, and wondered if the incident with Williams would cause any reflection on their part. I think we all already know what the answer to that question is.
