STOP WORRYING ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE AND CONCETRATE ON CRIMES AGAINST CHRISTIANS

A Republican Climate Denier expressed anger at Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials on Wednesday for putting what he claimed was a misplaced priority on climate change.

Instead of studying the security risks posed by climate change — which include threats to infrastructure, disease spread, and increased refugees — Wing nut Rep. Jeff Duncan said DHS should worry about other things, including “illegal aliens murdering beautiful innocent lives” and “folks who want to do great harm to Christians.”
“Your priorities are wrong at the Department of Homeland Security,” he said at a House Homeland Security subcommittee hearing:
I think that we’ve got threats of ISIS; we’ve got cartels shooting at helicopters on the border; we’ve got unaccompanied children coming into this country; we’ve got illegal aliens murdering beautiful innocent lives in San Francisco; we’ve got a woman who had her head blown off in Los Angeles by someone.
There are events after events going on around the world that are true threats to the United states, folks who want to do great harm to Christians, want to do great harm to others.
They want to come to this country and end the American way of life, and for whatever reason, we’re now spending out hard-earned dollars on climate science and the belief that this is one of the biggest threats to national security.
Duncan’s comments can be found here, at around the 48 minute mark of the archived webcast.

Duncan’s outrage over DHS studying climate risks may have to do with the fact that he doesn’t think climate change is real. He stated as much on Wednesday at the hearing, asking three high-level DHS officials to explain “why the earth was warmer during the medieval times” (a oft-used claim that is false). He also stated that “this notion that man-made climate change is happening is wrong.”

More than 56 percent of congressional Republicans deny or question the science behind human-caused climate change. By contrast, 97 percent of climate scientist’s actively publishing research on the subject say climate change is real and humans cause it.

When assessing national security risks, the Department of Defense sides with the scientists. It doesn’t consider climate change a direct threat, but considers it a “threat multiplier” that can worsen direct threats such as terrorism and infectious disease spread.

At the subcommittee hearing, called to examine the DHS’ “misplaced” focus on climate change, one official said that only two to four of its employees worked on the climate components of the agency’s latest Quadrennial Homeland Security Review. In that review, the DHS said natural hazards driven by climate change could pose threats to infrastructure, thereby risking national security in some parts of the country.

CHRISTIANITY UNDER ATTACK? ONLY IN THE EYES OF THE WING-NUT

Bill Maher is getting tired of conservatives and Wing-Nuts complaining about Christians being persecuted in America, despite Christians being a significant majority of the American population.

He ran through a series of quotes from 2016 candidates and conservative pundits decrying Christian persecution or attacks against the right. Bill O’Reilly said a few weeks ago that it’s open season on Christians and white men in America; Maher sarcastically pointed to “all those recent videos of police shooting unarmed white clergymen” as evidence.

VIDEO COURTESY OF HBO

And what set Maher off the most about these cries of Christian persecution is that he’s the only one they can really argue is doing it, and doesn’t want the credit going to anyone else for his efforts.

Maher demanded to know where the persecution is coming from. Maher went through a whole list of people and institutions the right claims is persecuting Christians and, one by one, said it’s just not happening.

PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL MIKE HUCKABEE ENSURES BY BACKING DUGGARS - THAT HE'LL NEVER BE PRESIDENT OF AMERICA

SEXUAL PERVERT,  AND CHILD MOLESTER JOSH DUGGAR HAS PHOTOS TAKEN WITH MAJORITY OF WING-NUT PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFULS

Wing nut conservative presidential candidate Mike Huckabee offered a full-throated defense Friday of the embattled Duggar family against the “blood-thirsty media” reporting on molestation claims involving their eldest son.

“No one needs to defend Josh’s actions as a teenager, but the fact that he confessed his sins to those he shamed, sought help, and has gone forward to live a responsible and circumspect life as an adult is testament to his family’s authenticity and humility,” said Huckabee, a family friend and former Arkansas governor, in a Facebook post

Josh Duggar resigned his post Thursday with the anti-LGBT Family Research Council after admitting to “inexcusable” actions when he was 14 – described in police reports as fondling the sex organs of his younger sisters and other girls.

TLC has canceled all airing of “19 Kids and Counting” as the network ponders the show’s long-term future.

“Good people make mistakes and do regrettable and even disgusting things,” Huckabee said. “The reason that the law protects disclosure of many actions on the part of a minor is that the society has traditionally understood something that today’s blood-thirsty media does not understand—that being a minor means that one’s judgment is not mature.”

Jim Bob Duggar said he took his son a year after learning of the abuse to meet with state trooper and personal friend who gave the teen a “very stern talk” but took no official action, and the statute of limitations had run out by the time police investigated in 2006.
“He and his family dealt with it and were honest and open about it with the victims and the authorities,” Huckabee said. “No purpose whatsoever is served by those who are now trying to discredit Josh or his family by sensationalizing the story.”

The former Fox News pundit questioned the motives of anyone unwilling to accept at face value the family’s claims that the sex abuse claims had actually brought them “closer to God.”
“Those who have enjoyed revealing this long ago sins in order to discredit the Duggar family have actually revealed their own insensitive bloodthirst, for there was no consideration of the fact that the victims wanted this to be left in the past and ultimately a judge had the information on file destroyed—not to protect Josh, but the innocent victims,” Huckabee said.

Huckabee repeatedly affirmed his love for the Duggar family and said their supporters should continue to stand by them.

“They are no more perfect a family than any family, but their Christian witness is not marred in our eyes because following Christ is not a declaration of our perfection, but of HIS perfection,” Huckabee said.

HOLY PSYCHO BABBLE BIBLE BULLSHIT BATMAN!

ISLAM VS CHRISTIANITY

Now, I am no big fan of Cenk Uygur by any stretch of the imagination, even though we are from the same town in N.J. But I do respect the man for being out front of the camera blasting away at not so useful idiots. It takes a big man [or woman] to bitch about your convictions to family and friends, it takes a bigger man to take it to either the internet or cable air waves where your audience is many.

In the below video, Uygur discusses radical religion, literal terminology of religion, and provides a "guess what religion" this is. Watch the below video and see if you can tell who Uygur is speaking of....that is before he discloses which book, the Qur'an or Bible.

ISLAM OR CHRISTIANITY, JESUS OR MUHAMMAD, QUR'AN OR BIBLE?

It should be noted that Uygur was born and raised as a Sunni Muslim and is now a self proclaimed agnostic.

I have found since blogging, that very few if any Christians, have they truly read the bible from front to cover. Like most things in American Christianity - radical bible thumping Americans, its pick and choose religion, apply what's good for you, shit can the rest, much like the US constitution.

My analogy with regards to religion is as such - that its like a penis, its ok to have one, its ok to be proud of your religion, just don't flaunt it in public.

Don't get me wrong, and as I have said over 4 years of blogging, radicalism, whether it be the zealous ammosexual NRA gun hugger, your Southern bible belt thumping Baptist, your local radical tea bagger enthusiasts, or ISIS - they are all to be considered a danger to human beings as a whole.

With both radical religions coming to the forefront, are these religions, in their truest radical "literal' form, are they really any different from each other?

Interpretations are a problem with anything, whether it be religion, constitutions, or laws - they will always have a bad outcome when they are distorted.......not as the writer intended.

FELLATE SHOW

In typical Bill Maher fashion - last nights show not being any different, Maher tells it like it is.

Bill Maher may agree with liberals on many things, but one thing he is not tolerant of is - constantly-outraged liberals staying silent on Islamic atrocities.

Maher said it’s ridiculous for President Obama to claim ISIS isn’t Islamic, because looking at the actual beliefs of ISIS and many Muslims around the world shows that much of Islam “has too much in common with ISIS.”

Maher tore into liberal ideas of multiculturalism and non-judgment when it comes to whether certain belief systems are better. Maher said of course “liberal Western culture” is better than horrid theocracies where people’s rights are threatened every single day.

LIBERAL WESTERN CULTURE

Whether you like him or not - or agree with him or not - the bottom line is pretty clear, homo sapien priorities are screwed up.

"CHRIST DIDN'T DO ANYTHING, AND THEY WENT AFTER HIM"

TRANSVAGINAL BOB PROMOTING JOHNNY WILLIAMS

These words spoken [See first video below] from a neighbor who is helping the McDonnell's through the guilty verdict. Bob and Maureen did do something wrong, they are criminals and they are nothing like Christ!

This neighbors comments are mind numbing, and it would appear that "Terry" [Neighbor] suffers from the same Hubris that the transvaginal governor does.

What world do these people live in?

GUIDELINES SAY ABOUT 9 YEARS FOR TRANSVAGINAL BOB Video Courtesy of MSNBC

A JUROR SPEAKS Video Courtesy of MSNBC

McDonnell's gift list, click the link to see the gift matrix.

In the end -- and this is the end for Transvaginal Bob, although he is yet to be sentenced -- We are eft with a feeling of amazement at the vast gap between how McDonnell was regarded and who he turned out to be. His judgment, which was heralded as one of his best attributes, wound up being by far one of his worst.

McDonnell's political career has long been over; the jury's decision simply put the nail in the coffin. His professional and personal decline, sealed his fate - by a jury of his peers last Thursday - remains stunning in its depth, and points to how truly oblivious to reality this pinhead is.

Bob and Maureen McDonnell, neighbor "Terry" - if indeed they are "Christians" - they are what's wrong with Christianity! Christianity does not mean free reign to; abuse power, be corrupt, and lie. "Conservative Christian Values", don't you want some?

TEN COMMANDMENTS, AS WRITTEN BY THE CONSERVATIVE

REPUBLICAN GOD RONNIE "BONZO" REAGAN

Most humans with an IQ above one hold a firm belief that religion and politics should never be mixed. These are two subjects that by themselves are controversial enough, let alone mixing them together. Our Founding Fathers knew this, which is probably why they didn’t use the word “Christianity” even once in our Constitution.

Our First Amendment clearly states that, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion…” and individuals like Thomas Jefferson had several documented instances where they said there should be a strict separation of church and state.

Even within Christianity there are many different denominations, so if we can’t agree within the same faith on what to believe – who in their right mind would believe one faith should rule this country?

Conservatives often make a barefaced effort to inject religion into their policy making as much as possible. When it comes to economic policies they suddenly forget that Jesus Christ spoke out against greed and focused on the responsibility a society has to its poor, needy, sick and elderly - unlike the ilk of the conservative, where the motto is 'me', 'me', 'me' ita all about "me'.

Tin Foil Hat Society members are not actual Christians, they are a mix of political ideologies tossed in with a handful of passages from the Bible. Let’s be realistic — when it comes to the Bible, most of these so called Christians pick and chooses which passages they want to follow and which they don’t - much like the U.S. Constitution.

Listed below are what most intelligent Americans would explicate as - based on what the GOP currently stand for;

The Republican Ten Commandments:

Thou shalt worship no other Americans but Ronald Reagan.

Thou shalt pay no attention to the fact that tax rates have nothing to do with capitalism. Remember, we were in fact a nation based on socialism before 1980 when our savior was elected.

To speak ill of Ronald Reagan means you are not a real conservative.

Thou shalt honor Ayn Rand’s economic ideologies, but ignore the fact that she was an atheist who thought religious people were fools.

Thou shalt respect your mother and father by ensuring that we privatize Social Security and Medicare so that private corporations can profit from these programs.

Guns are the only means of salvation. Thou shalt live in fear every moment that someone is out to get you.

Though adultery and divorce are acceptable and frequent occurrences (especially in “strongly conservative” states), it is same-sex marriage that will ultimately destroy the traditional family and ruin the sanctity of marriage.

Women are to be treated as subservient to men. Their rights will be determined by panels consisting entirely of males as it is clear men know more, and are better suited to determine female equality and how to handle women’s health.

The poor are but leeches on society seeking a handout from everybody else. The rich suffer the greatest burden of all and it is your responsibility to ensure that the rich are properly taken care of, for they are the job creators.

Thou shalt remember that greed is good, the poor are lazy, gays are bad, women are wicked, Rush Limbaugh is a respectable citizen, Sarah Palin is intelligent and George W. Bush was a great president.

These “Ten Commandments” have been sponsored by the Koch brothers, big oil, Fox News, FreedomWorks and the Heritage Foundation. Any attempt to discredit this list of sacred rules is just a liberal conspiracy to destroy the United States of America.

THE REALITY OF THE HOBBY LOBBY FIASCO

THE REALITY OF THE HOBBY LOBBY DECISION

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum; Hobby Lobby owner David Green and his "Christian" based company supplied their female employees every contraceptive available, [which included the now banned ones] in their health plan - that is until Obamacare was passed. Then all of the sudden their "Christian Faith" and "Moral Compass" hit them, and then...........

........The U.S. Supreme Court's decision Monday in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Store, Inc. was stunning both in its sexist nature and in ignoring long-standing precedent preventing corporations from imposing their religious beliefs and values on employees.

On one side of the decision were the court's five conservative justices - all men appointed by Republican presidents - saying it was OK for Hobby Lobby and another company, Conestoga Wood Specialties, to ignore the federal health law requirement that the insurance policies they provide include free contraception coverage for women. Whether women take advantage of the coverage is, of course, up to them and their doctors.

On the other side of the 5-4 ruling were the three women on the court, joined by Justice Stephen Breyer - collectively representing the liberal wing - who decry in their dissenting opinion the majority's ruling that the religious positions of a few corporate leaders trump the personal freedoms of their female employees.

The two corporations challenged the contraception mandate on the grounds it includes methods that the corporate leaders consider tantamount to abortion because they can prevent embryos from implanting in the womb. Forcing them to include the methods in coverage would make them complicit in the practice, they argued.

The court's decision hinges on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) of 1994 that prevents the government from "taking any action that substantially burdens the exercise of religion unless that action constitutes the least restrictive means of serving a compelling government interest."

In other words, it is a bad and unclear decision based on a bad and unclear law.

Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., seemingly recognizing the thin constitutional ice on which he was treading, sought to narrow the scope of the decision.
"The companies in the cases before us are closely held corporations, each owned and controlled by members of a single family," Justice Alito writes, arguing that the ruling should only be viewed in that narrow context.
In her dissent, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg looks through that transparent curtain.
"Although the Court attempts to cabin its language to closely held corporations, its logic extends to corporations of any size, public or private," she writes.

Given the majority's expansive interpretation of the RFRA, why couldn't a Catholic corporate ownership deny any form of birth control coverage based on the church's teaching? Some religious sects oppose vaccines and transfusions, others medications derived from certain animals. Could owners with these beliefs refuse to provide insurance coverage for such treatments, Justice Ginsburg asks.

For that matter, she continues, the conservative majority's reasoning could extend outside of health policy, throwing out laws that prevent corporations from using their own religious standards to discriminate against unmarried people living together, or homosexuals, or those in inter-religious or inter-racial marriages.

Best case, the decision is so narrow that it is only OK for a closely held corporation to impose its beliefs on employees when the topic is the reproductive rights of women. Either way -broad or narrow - the ruling is a terrible one.

In 1982, the high court ruled on the case of an Amish farmer who believed that withholding Social Security taxes from his employees or paying the employer's share of such taxes would violate his faith. The court said he could not use a religious rights' argument to deny his workers participation in Social Security.
"When followers of a particular sect enter into commercial activity as a matter of choice, the limits they accept on their own conduct as a matter of conscience and faith are not to be superimposed … on others in that activity." An employer, that court found, cannot "impose (its) religious faith on the employees."

That is what Hobby Lobby is doing to its female employees. Maybe just maybe this court should have followed its own precedent.

"Open Rebellion Against God’s Law."

Daryl Metcalfe

Openly gay Pennsylvania state Representative Brian Sims (D) planned to speak on the legislature floor on Wednesday about the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act — but he was blocked from talking by a GOP colleague who said his comments would be “open rebellion against God’s law.” Now, Sims is asking for a reprimand of his Republican colleague.

Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R), who is known for his inflammatory remarks, also blocked two of Sim’s colleagues who wanted to speak about DOMA, and openly admitted that his religious beliefs compelled him not to let Sims speak:
“I did not believe that as a member of that body that I should allow someone to make comments such as he was preparing to make that ultimately were just open rebellion against what the word of God has said, what God has said, and just open rebellion against God’s law,” said Metcalfe, R-Butler.

Other American Taliban members of the legislature reportedly apologized to Sims — who was the first lawmaker in the state to be elected while openly gay.

A reprimand vote in the legislature would be largely symbolic, but Sims believes it’s needed to show that Metcalfe’s colleagues have no confidence in “a guy who hates women, he hates gay people, he hates minorities and he hates immigrants,” as Sims puts it.

Earlier this week, Sims introduced a marriage equality bill that would give full equal marriage rights to gay and lesbian couples in Pennsylvania. While Metcalfe might be set in his opinions about LGBT couples, Sims is capable of moving his state’s legislature forward. As a recent study pointed out, “the presence of even a small number of openly gay legislators is associated significantly with the future passage of enhanced gay rights.”

I am both leery and weary of the Bible being used as a bludgeon by the American Taliban against our Constitution -- the separation of church and state is paramount in the US -- or so it should be -- and bringing one's religious beliefs into congress is insulting and unconstitutional.

Blocking someone from speaking because they violate one's religious ideology goes against the entire principle of keeping church separate from state, as outlined in the first amendment. What if one decided that a female lawmaker had no right to speak, citing 1 Corinthians 14:34?

One doesn't have to be Einstein to deduce that this has nothing to do with religion at all. Sims wanted to build support for legislation that would fly in the face of Metcalfe's bigotry, and Metcalfe is hiding behind the skirts of religion to justify his bigotry. This mentality of these troglodytes is offensive, hypocritical, and most of, not Christ like.

I leave you again with my favorite quote that so aptly applies to the American Taliban and their Christianity:
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." ~Mahatma Gandhi

Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, you are today's worst person in the world!

REPUBLICANS AREN'T CHRISTIANS

Cross Posted from Forward Progressives' Allen Clifton

We at NFTOS rarely post someone's else's work, but after reading this, we thought it was worthy a spot, as it speaks volumes - to a valid point of the confluence of the American Taliban and Christianity.

Republicans don’t get a lot of things, but they really don’t get Christianity—because it’s not what they follow.

See, a few decades ago the leaders of the GOP did something very intelligent. History shows one of the easiest ways to manipulate, and control, people is through their religion. You can get people to do horrific things in the name of “their god” by convincing them that their actions are acceptable because they are the true believers, and those they oppose are the “heathens.”

You see this with radicals of every faith. These radical leaders take a handful of excerpts from whatever book they follow and manipulate millions into believing whatever they want.

Republicans knew two key issues could easily control millions — abortion and homosexuality. Once they identified their two key manipulation points, all they needed to do was tie in whatever political ideology they wanted with these two religious-based beliefs and they could create a political party that was worshiped more like a faith than a political idea.

And that’s exactly what they did. I always encourage people to stop saying Republicans represent Christianity, and call them out on what they really worship.

I call it “Republicanity” and I consider it a cult. It’s a perversion of Christianity mixed with a political set of man-made beliefs. These people view their devotion to the GOP on the same level they do their belief in God. To them, the Republican Party is the party of “real Christians.” They don’t need facts or reality to support their political beliefs, they have “faith.”

Except, your political beliefs are supposed to be based on facts — not faith.

I’m a Christian, and these people damn sure don’t represent my faith. What they follow is some mix of Ayn Rand economic ideologies and a couple of select passages from the Bible.

Which I always find hilarious considering Ayn Rand thought religious people were stupid and insane. So people like Paul Ryan, who built his economic ideology on her teachings while claiming to be a devout “Christian,” just show their ignorance by claiming to believe in both. How exactly can someone build an economic platform based on a woman who completely contradicted Christianity, while claiming to be a follower of Christianity?

It makes absolutely no damn sense.

See, the whole point of being a Christian means you follow the teachings of Christ. I’ve actually seen many of these “Christians” try and say Jesus would support cuts to welfare and side with the top-down economic policies of the Republican Party.

As I've said before, whether you believe in Jesus Christ or not is not the issue, what he symbolized and his story aren't really debatable. He spent his life helping the poor, sick and needy. He never once spoke about homosexuality or abortion. He embraced those from the lowest rungs of society by saying that those for whom much had been given, much is expected. He taught love, hope, compassion and forgiveness. He warned against those who would manipulate the word of God for their own selfish ambitions. He opposed greed and encouraged giving.

You know, the exact oppose of what Republicans stand for.

But that doesn't matter to these people because they oppose abortion and homosexuality—again, two things Jesus never spoke of.

And honestly, can you name one other “Christian” value Republicans claim to value? Because I hate to break it to them, but guns weren't invented by Jesus. Saying you have a “God-given right to bear arms” is just ignorant. God didn't grant anyone the right to bear arms, a bunch of slave owning rich white men did in the late-1700′s. Many of which weren't even Christians.

So please, stop calling Republicans “Christians”—they’re not.

I can’t count the times I've heard people say they don’t consider themselves Christians any longer because of the ignorance of the Republican Party. Millions have abandoned Christianity because these people have hijacked a faith to distort it for their own political gains.

It’s time real Christians take back their faith from these people who’ve turned so many sour on Christianity. It’s time they rise up against these ignorant fake Christians and call them out directly on the truth. They don’t follow Christianity.

They follow Republicanity. They worship Reagan, guns and greed—not Jesus Christ.

I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ. ~ Mahatma Gandhi.

FREAK SHOW

Teapublican Freak Show

It was a great day for progressives yesterday, as those right of center struggled to maintain sanity. It was a grab your favorite soda pop, make a big bucket of buttered popcorn, and pull up your most comfortable man chair, and sit back and watch the freaks in action.

It's really kind of sad that all the funny, mean and nasty
clowns have been eliminated from the teapublican debate. Now we're down to just the mean and nasty ones.

And the game continues.... Outwitting teapublicans is like Albert Einstein vs Pat Roberson, Mr. Spock vs Gilligan, or James Bond vs Bozo the Clown.

In case you missed the South Carolina GOP debate last night, dumping your first mistress and second wife for your second mistress and third wife is 'human,' and yet asking a question about it is 'close to despicable.' Not my words....see show below.

I bet Newt can now relate to how African Americans feel with his onslaught of welfare and food stamp association. Its funny how things come full circle.

What truly is appalling and despicable, is during yet another debate, callous teapublicans give Newt G a standing ovation, which sends a clear message to intelligent viewers, that disobedience of God's laws are acceptable - and in the "bible belt", or the land of the "Southern Baptist" to boot. This speaks well of "Gods Children" doesn't it?

Newt Grinch is a pasty white, obese, racist, who thought he had enough "man" power to have an open marriage? Really?

Newt Gingrich on the sanctity of marriage: I believe marriage should be between a man and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman and a woman....... You would tend to believe with Newt's open marriage theory, and or policy if you will, came from reading Flipflopney's bible, which is titled, "Joseph Smith, an adulterers guide to multiple wives", which is more aptly titled "the book of Mormon" - which gives cult leaders tips on how to successfully have more than one wife and get away with it, just ask Flipflopney about his 23 grandmothers.

After the conclusion of last nights debate, NFTOS predicts that President Barack Obama just won his 18th straight GOP debate.

The appropriately named Newt Gingrich is the political personification of troglodyte. His sociopathic selfishness is the product of blind ambition driven by a reptilian lust for power and revenge.

Current TV's Keith Olbermann said last night:

"Did you notice how John King never said a word to Newt Gingrich when he came out swinging at him from the very beginning? He had an opportunity to cogently state that character was an important ingredient in a presidential candidate. After all, Newt went after Clinton for his character unabashedly (all while he was married and getting plenty on the side himself). Yet John King says nothing. He lets Newt get away with his nasty overbearing dictatorial egotistical narcissistic attitude. What a weak debate moderator he is. That is the big problem in America. It's bad enough we are living in a time of unprecedented corruption by politicians who want to parse our Constitution, dictate their morality and turn back the clock on our civil rights but having a media that wears blinders or a media that does not have the forbearance to call a spade a spade has ruined our nation. Newt Gingrich blames the media for going after him. I blame the media for waiting too long to go after ALL of them."

How convenient that God is so forgiving to teapublicans. They take it as license that they can sin against their fellow man without questioning their actions. After all, what is the incentive not to sin when all will be forgiven anyway? What a bunch of hypocrites! If that is what "teapublican Christianity" is all about, then I tell you I'd rather have nothing to do with it.

We have to re-post this quote from an earlier blog this week:

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." ~ Mohandas Gandhi

Do you think that Gandhi had Newt in mind when saying this?

So, let me understand Newt clearly, Newt Grinch, a staunch conservative teapublican, is for marriage between a man and a woman and another woman making for an "open" marriage, but against same sex marriage as it's immoral and against God's law? Do I understand Newt correctly?

Gingrich is the only Speaker of the House in the history of the U.S. to be charged for ethics violations. He was found guilty, and forced to pay a $300,000 fine. His game plan is to call out other Americans and teapublican candidates on their lack of ethics. His baloney has a first name, its h-y-p-o-c-r-i-s-y, his baloney has second name its o-p-e-n m-a-r-r-i-a-g-e.

Spike Lee tweeted last night during the debates:

"Folks, We Gotta Rally Around President Obama Or Do You Want To Be Led Astray, Run Amok, Hornswaggled, Okey Doked, Flim Flammed or BAMBOOZLED? YO!"

Newt had been ranting all evening long on how he and the teapublican God Ronnie Reagan worked together often during Newts tenure in DC. Romney aptly placed Newt in his place by saying that poor little Newt had only received one mention in Saint Ronald's memoir, and the mention was not a positive one at that. But then again, Flipflopney thinks that if every car in America had a Reagan bobblehead on the dashboard, we'd be a more righteous and godly nation, with a thriving economy.

If the reichwing-nuts continue to push the 'beginning of life' concept back any further, men are going to have to start deducting their sperm as dependents.

Let's face it readers except for it's workers, poor, gays, blacks, Muslims, Hispanics, women, rights, laws, and Government... teapublicans love America!

I got to thinking, if Newt and Calista gain the right to occupy the house at 1600 Penn ave, would that make them First adulterer and first tramp respectively?

UPDATE: Breaking South Carolina: Gingrich Leads Romney By Two Wives!

Teapublicans, Christianity, and Jesus

Republican Jesus
Teapublicans, Christianity, and Jesus. I know it sounds like an oxymoron, and why is that you ask? Because it is one!

With the onslaught of "Christian Televangelists" in the "Palmetto" state seeking to find a radical candidate to endorse for President - I got to thinking about the right, Christianity, and Jesus.

Mohandas Gandhi is quoted as saying :
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Gandhi must have been thinking about teapublicans when he made this statement! During the debates we have heard both candidates and voters emit non-Christian like actions.

I ask you readers, when did:

Christ hate Blacks?
Christ hate Mexicans?
Christ start advocating for the (1%) and stop advocating for the poor?
Christ cheer for the ill whom couldn't afford healthcare and encourage their death?
Christ stop advocating for all humans and start advocating for just the reichwing persuasion?

When did Christianity abort the "The New Colossus" poem by Emma Lazarus which says:

"Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless,
tempest-tost to me".....

Christ advocate, "GUNS, GREED, HYPOCRISY"?

He didn't, and thats the point!

In a September 1994 plenary speech to the Christian Coalition national convention, Rev. D. James Kennedy said that "true Christian citizenship" involves an active engagement in society to "take dominion over all things as vice-regents of God." Kennedy's remarks were reported in February 1995 by sociologist and journalist Sara Diamond, who wrote that Kennedy had "echoed the Reconstructionist line."

More than anyone else, it was Sara Diamond who popularized the term "dominionism," using it to describe a growing political tendency in the Christian Right.

This highly politicized concept of dominionism is based on the Bible's text in Genesis 1:26:

Put simply, Dominionism means that Christians have a God-given right to rule all earthly institutions. Originating among some of America’s most radical theocrats, it’s long had an influence on religious-right education and political organizing. But because it seems so outré, getting ordinary people to take it seriously can be difficult.

So, to celebrate a true Christian - Martin Luther King Jr, we give you.

Republican Jesus’ Ten Commandments

And Lo, did Republican Jesus come down among the masses and holding his tablet PC, did he give unto his disciples the NEW (and improved) Ten Commandments. “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Socialism, out of the house of Communism.”

1. You shall have no other gods before me, especially that terrorist monkey god, Mohammed.

2. You shall not make for yourself any carved image; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them except for the Holy Benjamins. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting poverty of the fathers on the children of those (as in those people) who hate me, but showering material riches unto thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Also, you shall have guns. All you want.

3. You shall not take the name of your God, Ronald Reagan, in vain, for the Lord will hold him guiltless of treason and malfeasance.

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. If you are a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, six days you shall labor and do all your work, that should just about do it for the year, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor the stranger who is within your country illegally unless they are off the books then they shall work all seven days without respite. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, including dinosaur bones and rested the seventh day.

5. Honor your father and your mother by ensuring that they keep their Social Security even as you shall taketh it away from all others.

6. You shall not murder unless they are Muslim. Or gay. Or abortion doctors. Or government workers. Or black. Or whatever group is currently out of favor with mine chosen White (not white, White) People.

7. You shall not commit adultery and get caught during an election year.

8. You shall not steal unless it’s from the workers’ pensions.

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Just kidding, Mr. Beck.

10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s. Instead, you shall go forth and buy these things for yourself on credit and keep the “too big to fail” banks happy.
