The American people know Racism 1.0 (Paul Deen style) when they see it, and most don’t like it. [other than the Talibangelicals] Many Americans haven’t learned to recognize it, or don’t want to face the reality of Racism 2.0 (Trump, Palin, Scalia, Gingrich).

Bill Maher was right to call out the new form or racism, but wrong to try to split the two. America is right to punish Paula Deen’s type of racism - but for us to not address Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, and this new breed of racism - they should be held accountable, and held to the same standard.

Despite what the Supreme Court believes, racism is alive and well in America. Whether it be racism 1.0, or 2.0, the goal should be to eliminate it all.

What do you get when you mix an American Taliban with a GOP Christian? Introducing "Talibangelicals", the cross of radical conservationism and bible thumping hypocrites.

I always love how the "Talibangelicals" [my new name for the GOP] spin the bible and Christianity to suit their mood for the day. Hypocrisy runs amuck in conservative land when it comes to Christianity. Their lack of true knowledge of the bible, like that of the U.S. Constitution, is overwhelmingly embarrassing. Mark Twain once said:

"Its better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt"

The separation of church and state is supposed to be the distance in the relationship between organized religion and the nation state.

But yet we hear constantly - Talibngelicals, invoking religion into government. Take out blog form yesterday, "Open Rebellion Against Gods Laws".

I am really sick and tired of Talibangelicals not practicing what they preach. Until such time that they can do so, I'd prefer that they just sit down and shut the f*ck up!

"Open Rebellion Against God’s Law."

Openly gay Pennsylvania state Representative Brian Sims (D) planned to speak on the legislature floor on Wednesday about the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act — but he was blocked from talking by a GOP colleague who said his comments would be “open rebellion against God’s law.” Now, Sims is asking for a reprimand of his Republican colleague.



Rep. Daryl Metcalfe (R), who is known for his inflammatory remarks, also blocked two of Sim’s colleagues who wanted to speak about DOMA, and openly admitted that his religious beliefs compelled him not to let Sims speak:

“I did not believe that as a member of that body that I should allow someone to make comments such as he was preparing to make that ultimately were just open rebellion against what the word of God has said, what God has said, and just open rebellion against God’s law,” said Metcalfe, R-Butler.

Other American Taliban members of the legislature reportedly apologized to Sims — who was the first lawmaker in the state to be elected while openly gay.

A reprimand vote in the legislature would be largely symbolic, but Sims believes it’s needed to show that Metcalfe’s colleagues have no confidence in “a guy who hates women, he hates gay people, he hates minorities and he hates immigrants,” as Sims puts it.

Earlier this week, Sims introduced a marriage equality bill that would give full equal marriage rights to gay and lesbian couples in Pennsylvania. While Metcalfe might be set in his opinions about LGBT couples, Sims is capable of moving his state’s legislature forward. As a recent study pointed out, “the presence of even a small number of openly gay legislators is associated significantly with the future passage of enhanced gay rights.”

I am both leery and weary of the Bible being used as a bludgeon by the American Taliban against our Constitution -- the separation of church and state is paramount in the US -- or so it should be -- and bringing one's religious beliefs into congress is insulting and unconstitutional.

Blocking someone from speaking because they violate one's religious ideology goes against the entire principle of keeping church separate from state, as outlined in the first amendment. What if one decided that a female lawmaker had no right to speak, citing 1 Corinthians 14:34?

One doesn't have to be Einstein to deduce that this has nothing to do with religion at all. Sims wanted to build support for legislation that would fly in the face of Metcalfe's bigotry, and Metcalfe is hiding behind the skirts of religion to justify his bigotry. This mentality of these troglodytes is offensive, hypocritical, and most of, not Christ like.

I leave you again with my favorite quote that so aptly applies to the American Taliban and their Christianity:

The Supreme Court just handed down a 5-4 decision striking the unconstitutional Defense of Marriage Act. According to Justice Anthony Kennedy’s opinion for the Court, “[t]he federal statute is invalid, for no legitimate purpose overcomes the purpose and effect to disparage and to injure those whom the State, by its marriage laws, sought to protect in personhood and dignity. By seeking to displace this protection and treating those persons as living in marriages less respected than others, the federal statute is in violation of the Fifth Amendment.”

Shortly thereafter, the Court also handed down a 5-4 decision holding that supporters of California’s anti-gay Proposition 8 did not have legal standing to appeal District Judge Vaughn Walker’s decision striking the marriage ban. The likely impact of this decision is that Walker’s injunction against Prop 8 will allow California to perform same-sex marriages once again — or at least that California’s top elected officials will be able to read Walker’s opinion this way — although there is some uncertainty whether Walker actually has the power to enjoin an entire state. For this reason, the status of Prop 8 is, for the moment, unclear.

Although Justice Kennedy’s opinion in the DOMA case alludes to some questionable states rights views that he expressed during oral argument, the opinion is firmly rooted in the equal rights and equal dignity that same-sex couples share with straight ones. As the Court explains:

By creating two contradictory marriage regimes within the same State, DOMA forces same-sex couples to live as married for the purpose of state law but unmarried for the purpose of federal law, thus diminishing the stability and predictability of basic personal relations the State has found it proper to acknowledge and protect. By this dynamic DOMA undermines both the public and private significance of state sanctioned same-sex marriages; for it tells those couples and all the world, that their otherwise valid marriages are unworthy of federal recognition. This places same-sex couples in an unstable position of being in a second-tier marriage. The differentiation demeans the couple, whose moral and sexual choices the Constitution protects, and whose relationship the State has sought to dignify. And it humiliates tens of thousands of children now being raised by same-sex couples. The law in question makes it even more difficult for the children to understand the integrity and closeness of their own family and its concord with other families in their community and in their daily lives.

At oral argument, Kennedy appeared ready to adopt a very radical view of states rights that would strip Congress’ power to enact DOMA, but which could also potentially endanger Medicare and other federal benefits programs by stripping away the federal government’s power to define who receives these benefits. Part III of Kennedy’s opinion nods sharply at Kennedy’s states’ rights views, but it also establishes that today’s opinion is rooted in equality, not in any new attempt to shrink federal power. As Kennedy writes, “it is unnecessary to decide whether [DOMA's] federal intrusion on state power is a violation of the Constitution because it disrupts the federal balance.”

Instead, Kennedy’s opinion appears to adopt a compromise position Justice Elena Kagan floated at oral argument. “In determining whether a law is motivated by an improper animus or purpose,” Kennedy writes, “‘discrimination's of an unusual character’ especially require careful consideration.” The fact that DOMA departs from the usual federal practice of let states decide who is married “is strong evidence of a law having the purpose and effect of disapproval of that class.”

Yet, while Kennedy’s allusions to states’ rights do not work a revolution in the scope of federal power, they do have very unfortunate implications for gay couples in places like Texas and Alabama. For the moment, at least, a majority of the Court was unwilling to strike a law restricting same-sex marriage without speaking at length about the traditionally broad role states have enjoyed in determining who is married. This will not necessarily prevent the federal government from recognizing such marriages throughout the nation and according many benefits to same-sex couples, but it does suggest that America has a little ways to go before Texas will have to afford gay couples the same dignity they enjoy in marriage equality states.

Not yet reading the dissenting opinions by the four justices, but I'm truly curious as to why Roberts, Scalia, Thomas, and Alito believe DOMA is constitutional..... I mean, aside from the fact they are douche bags. I keep looking for one defender of "traditional marriage" that isn't a monstrous hypocrite, moron or loon.

Nancy Pelosi was asked for a response to batshit crazy Michele Bachmann's statement regarding DOMA, Pelosi responded, "who cares". I think this sentiment can be applied to any statements made by the American Taliban.

Fear not conservatives, our Supreme Court still thinks racism is okay, so you haven't lost everything.......yet!

Twenty four hours removed, and it's a great day for bigots, courtesy of SCOTUS!

The Supreme beings [Court], they continue to destroy its own legitimacy as it descends further into politically biased decision making. This VRA [voting rights act] decision ranks amongst the shittiest this land has ever experienced- with Dred Scott, Citizens United, and Bush v Gore - these decisions are among the most morally bankrupt and non-constitutionally based political decisions in the courts history! Political posturing of Supreme Beings has to stop!

SCOTUS has decided to throw the ball back to congress, to let them update the laws for voter rights. Seriously? The American Taliban in the House couldn't even figure out how to get together and vote through the traditionally bipartisan farm bill this year. This wasn't the first time either; they couldn't pass it last year as well. The GOP lead House of Representatives are an abysmal failure, [10 % approval rating] and it appears that the Supreme Court isn't much better.

This decision to appraise that Section 4 and 5 of the VRA is unconstitutional - is a horrible one, regardless of whether they left Congress enough slack to fix the section and bring it back in line with the Constitution. It’s a slap in the face to Martin Luther King Jr, Medgar Evers and to every African American in this country.

Anyone who was awake last year and saw the American Taliban in state legislatures all over the country try to enact new laws that would make it harder for people to vote — people who would demographically speaking be more likely to vote Democratic. It’s a slap in the face to anyone living in those districts that were under the scrutiny of the Federal Election Committee under Section 4 and 5.

SCOTUS found a way yesterday to punt on the decision — like they did with affirmative action. It was both cowardly and a horrendous example of how to turn a blind eye - to the overwhelming evidence that the American Taliban is getting desperate to win elections, and are resorting to tactics we know are unconstitutional, this decision is just ludicrous!

The bottom line is simple, whether they knew they were doing it or not - sending Section 4 and 5 back to Congress for additional work - these five radical conservative Supreme Court Justices found the most convenient and politically benign way possible to get a crucial piece of legislation that kept the American Taliban's shenanigans from disenfranchising voters out of the way.

Fifty years of work reversed, and now the government has been stripped of its power to protect their voice from racially-charged discrimination.

Yesterday the Supreme Beings weakened a country.

If you find someone applauding the VRA decision today, more than likely they are a racist!

Imagine your daughter going casually through her life. Studying for school, top of her class, just a mere 24 months from graduating with a promising future in a leading medical school to fulfill her life-long dream of being a doctor. Nearly every moment in her life has been spent geared toward achieving this goal.

Then imagine one day, she’s coming home from cramming for an extremely important final—when suddenly, and violently, she experiences the most terrifying and traumatizing event of her life.

And included with all of the horrific psycho-social, emotional and physical terrors that often haunt rape victims—she fears she might have been impregnated by her attacker. Texas State Representative Claims Emergency Room Rape Kits Can Give Abortions

Your daughter, not ready for a child and definitely not wanting one that was conceived when she was raped, wishes to find a means at which to terminate any possible pregnancy…When suddenly, Texas State Representative Jodie Laubenberg pops her head into the ER and says:

“In the emergency room they have what’s called rape kits where a woman can get cleaned out.”

And while Laubenberg didn't say this directly to a rape victim, this was her actual reasoning behind not including a rape exemption in her anti-abortion bill that’s currently being debated in the Texas legislature.

Apparently unaware that “rape kits” are equipment used by forensic experts to collect evidence from rape victims, this woman actually believes hospitals have “kits” that will “clean women right out” after being raped.

But even though “rape kits” have nothing to do with “cleaning a woman out,” Republican Rep. Laubenberg still believes your daughter has no right to have an abortion, even after being raped. She believes control over your daughter’s body belongs in the hands of the government. It doesn’t matter that she didn’t willingly have sex with her attacker, what’s done is done and your daughter will have that baby—no exemptions. Period.

This woman holds public office and is in a position of power, pushing this legislation—something I find absolutely terrifying.

How a grown woman can be so misinformed about rape, while proposing an anti-abortion bill that doesn't allow any exemptions for rape or incest, is truly astounding and downright sad.

It’s ignorant enough when some blowhard male stands up and tries to dictate to women what they can or cannot do with their own bodies—a woman should know better. Hell, a man should know better too. There’s absolutely no excuse for this level of ignorance.

Yet there goes Ms. Laubenberg proudly displaying her stupidity for the world to see.

What her anti-abortion bill also does is set the rules for having an abortion to such impossible extremes to comply with, that it’s estimated all but five abortion clinics in the state of Texas would have to shut down.

Whoever voted for this douche bag should be ashamed of themselves. It’s one thing to call yourself pro-life and oppose abortions — it’s quite another to simply be astonishingly ignorant about the violent crime of rape, and the very real situations women find themselves in afterward.

TEXAS GETS RADICAL ON ABORTION

More than 600 women’s health advocates crowded into Texas’ state capitol building on Sunday night, hoping to prevent a vote on a package of abortion restrictions before the state’s special session ends early this week. Ultimately, however, their efforts were unsuccessful. In the early hours of Monday morning, Republicans used their majority to cut off debate and give preliminary approval to Senate Bill 5, an omnibus measure that would force most of the abortion clinics in the Lone Star state to close their doors.

SB 5 combines several abortion restrictions that failed to advance during Texas’ regular session into one sweeping bill, and would ultimately leave Texas women with just five abortion clinics left in the entire state. Gov. Rick Perry (R) forced a last-minute vote on several pieces of anti-abortion legislation, including SB 5, to give them another chance. Since the current special session operates under different procedural rules, it’s more difficult for Democrats to block legislation from advancing.

On Thursday night, nearly 800 protesters registered to testify against SB 5. Their “people’s filibuster” stretched on for 12 hours and successfully delayed the House from voting on the restrictive measure. They tried again on Sunday night, filling the capitol rotunda with protesters as Democrats continued delaying a vote for 15 hours.

“Women are not going to tolerate the constant chipping away of their rights, we are not going to be bullied,” Rep. Senfronia Thompson (D) said on Sunday night in reference to the legislature’s attempt to push through last-minute abortion restrictions. “We are soldiers in the army of women’s rights, and while today we may be outnumbered and out gunned, our cause is just and we shall prevail.”

But around four in the morning, Republicans cut off the ongoing debate so they could finally force a vote, a decision that the Associated Press characterized as a “highly unusual and partisan move.” SB 5 won preliminary approval with a 97-33 vote. The bill still needs final approval from the House, and then it will head to a Senate vote before the special session comes to a close on midnight on Tuesday. There’s still a chance that it can be blocked if Senate Democrats successfully filibuster the vote on Tuesday.

After the House vote on SB 5, protesters lined the stairs of the Capitol rotunda and chanted, “Shame them to their faces” and “shame them for what they've done.” But State Rep. Jessica Farrar (D) Houston, the chairwoman of the House women’s health caucus, reminded the crowd of protesters that their efforts weren't in vain. “It really mattered what you did,” Farrar told the protesters, pointing out that successfully delaying the action on SB 5 will allow the Senate to attempt a filibuster.

Republicans have been sharply criticized for their attempt to push through abortion restrictions under special legislative rules after every single anti-abortion bill was successfully blocked during this year’s regular session. “Everything about the process related to these abortion regulation bills has smelled like partisan politics,” Farrar said during the late-night debate on SB 5.

Proponents of the abortion restrictions say that they are necessary measures to help protect women’s health and safety. But major medical groups in Texas — including the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Hospital Association and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists — have all come out in opposition to SB 5, and have sent letters to state lawmakers asking them to vote against it.

Maher asked that it is given that these right wing nut jobs try to one-up each other with shockingly ridiculous comments about rape and abortion and fetuses masturbating, what does it take in this day and age to actually embarrass the American Taliban?

On Sean Hannity’s show last night, an argument over whether Attorney General Eric Holder committed perjury exploded between guest Bill Cunningham and Fox Analyst Tamara Holder (no relation to Eric).

Cunningham, incensed over what he felt was Eric Holder’s consistent mendacity, began screaming and jabbing his finger at Tamara Holder, who was sitting right next to him.

“You are judicially challenged and you’re one of the stooges of the left that will always be there to excuse away criminal behavior,” he said to her. “You suffer from Bob Beckel-itis, which is an incurable fatal condition of liberalism that caused people like Eric Holder to be the consulary of Barack Hussein Obama.”

 “I really hope that when you speak to a judge, you don’t point your finger in the person’s face the entire time,” Holder said, jabbing a finger right back at him. “Your finger does not make your point.”

 “Who’s finger is in my face right now?” Cunningham asked.

 “Mine, because I’m telling you to shut up.”

 “You shut up!” Cunningham responded. “Know your role and shut your mouth.”

 This caused some ooohs from Hannity’s crew. The host attempted to regain control of the segment, but the two went at it again moments later.

 “[Eric Holder's] like a piano player in a horror house, not knowing what’s going on on the second floor,” Cunningham said. “Let’s face it, Tamara, he is a stooge man for the radical left.”

“What is your obsession with stooges?” Holder asked. “Aren’t stooges like little elves?”

“I’m sitting next to you!” Cunningham said, again drawing some ooohs from the Hannity crew. “You’re a liberal stooge, and an excuse monger for the Obama administration.”

At this point Holder dropped her head, took a deep breath, and said, “Never mind.”
“What are you going to cry?” Cunningham asked.

“No, I’m not going to cry,” a newly-defiant Holder responded.

At the end of the segment, which Hannity seemed to want out of as much as anybody, he instructed the two to shake hands.

“I don’t shake hands with trolls,” Holder said.

Conservative white pasty men are the most vile creators to ever have lived on this earth, if you think not watch the above video repeatedly until you get it!

Bill Cunningham is Ohio's village idiot, but as you shall see below, the American Taliban believes that women should be seen and not heard, where her place is barefoot and pregnant in the "Kitchen". Bill Cunningham needs to be taken behind the woodshed and enlightened, or maybe better yet, we can test Sean Hannity's "Waterboarding" theory that it's not torture.

Wiley Coyote Tries To Light Fuse On The Acme Scandals, And They Just Won't Go Off. Beep, Beep!

Who knew? Who knew that Darrell Issa was a lying schmuck? You didn't have to be Einstein to know that as time went on - that this IRS scandal would backfire on the American Taliban.

And just like with the Benghazi emails, the full transcripts have been released, [an oh shit moment for Issa] and they  reveal that there was absolutely no testimony or evidence that supports the right-wing lie that the White House was behind these actions.


NEVER LET FACTS GET IN THE WAY OF A GOOD STORY

Darrell Issa, in typical deceiving GOP fashion, knew this. That’s why he continued to delay the release of these transcripts, which decimated every conspiracy Republicans have tried to levy against the President.

Yesterday’s release from Representative Elijah Cummings contains the full transcripts that show the White House had absolutely nothing to do with this issue in the Cincinnati office.

Even the fallacy that there was an overwhelming number of “conservative groups” targeted was a lie. This graph shows that only 96 of the 298 groups listed were “conservative groups,” totaling about one-third within this investigation. But when you heard it from the American Taliban, this was some kind of direct attack against the tea bagger, even though there’s no evidence supporting this whatsoever.

In fact, there is an over abundance of evidence to show that Issa knowingly tried to conceal specific pieces of evidence from being released, while allowing specific comments to be “leaked” by his staff, perpetuating his lies that the White House was behind this.

Just like with Benghazi, the real story is much less eventful than what the American Taliban wants Americans to believe. And just like with Benghazi, the possible criminal activity doesn't come from the White House, but from within the American Taliban. Their concealment of factual information which easily debunks the lies which they were using to mislead the American public is now public, for all to see.

Benghazi’s “conspiracy” really stems from who edited the initial emails that the GOP used to build their attack on President Obama and Hillary Clinton, while the IRS “conspiracy” seems to be about why Issa continued to perpetuate a lie - a lie that had no merit and zero factual backing to support his claim.

Rachel Maddow opened her show last night taking the American Taliban to task for their continuing insistence on fighting for stricter and stricter anti-abortion laws, culminating in the GOP-led House passing a huge federal anti-abortion ban bill last night.

Maddow said the GOP attempted to try and put out a more articulate voice by letting Marsha Blackburn push for the abortion bill. However, on MSNBC, Blackburn said that when women report rapes, it gives police people to track down and bring to justice.

Maddow then added “House Republicans effectively forcing you to use your uterus and access to it as a means of helping the police with their investigations.”

"FETUSES MASTURBATE"

Yes that's right readers, according to Rep Michael Burgess [teabagger from Texas] - that at fifteen weeks, the male fetus can masturbate! Who knew?

As the House of Representatives prepares on Tuesday to consider huge legislative restrictions on a woman’s right to choose, one GOP congressman is using the idea that fetuses can masturbate to argue for more abortion restrictions.

On Monday evening, Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX), an Ob/Gyn by trade, told his colleagues to, “Watch a sonogram of a 15-week baby, and they have movements that are purposeful”:

They stroke their face. If they’re a male baby, they may have their hand between their legs. If they feel pleasure, why is it so hard to believe that they could feel pain?

The House’s bill uses the scientifically disputed idea that a fetus can feel pain after 20 weeks as the basis for effectively ban all abortions after that time. Several state legislatures have passed similar bans, though just last month an appeals court struck down a ‘fetal pain’ bill in Arizona, finding that the law was unconstitutional under Roe v. Wade.

If this guy is your OB/GYN, run for the hills! This mentality requires a human to be of a special kind of stupid.

If fetuses do masturbate, why only male fetuses? Also, why assume that's what any fetus is doing? [demented GOP thoughts] Infants have very little motor control long after they're actually born, to assume that they're performing complex actions at 15 weeks seems really bizarre to the sane human. This is especially true because without any developed mental capability to form desire in the first place - and a genitourinary system which is not yet developed well enough at 15 weeks to even determine the gender of a fetus [which is a milestone that occurs at 21 weeks] let alone pleasure ones self- Mikey Burgess has just now entered "batshit crazy" land.

Yes this American Taliban er is a OB/GYN, and you would think he'd come up with a better theory that the laypersons would find plausible - unless, of course, he just thinks the average layperson is an idiot.

Many fruits seem to come from Texsas, can't we just allow them to secede from the country and be done with them?

GOP IS IN A IMMIGRATION DEATH SPIRAL

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) — one of the teapublican co-sponsors of an immigration reform bill that would provide a pathway to citizenship for the nation’s 11.1 million undocumented immigrations — told fellow teapublicans that the GOP will fail to exist if reform does not become law.

“If we don’t pass immigration reform , if we don’t get it off the table in a reasonable, practical way, it doesn’t matter who you run in 2016,” Graham warned during on appearance Sunday on NBC’s Meet The Press. “We’re in a demographic death spiral as a party, and the only way we can get back in good graces with the Hispanic community, in my view, is pass comprehensive immigration reform. If you don’t do that, it really doesn’t matter who will run, in my view.”

Mitt Romney received just 27 percent of the Hispanic vote during the 2012 presidential election, down from Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) 31 percent in 2008 and George W. Bush’s 44 percent in 2004. And while several GOP-sponsored autopsy reports have urged the party to adopt a more welcoming tone toward immigrants, conservatives are still comparing immigrants to bank robbers, while voting to deport DREAM-eligible immigrants.

During a separate appearance on ABC’s This Week, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who also helped draft the Senate’s immigration reform measure and may run for president in 2016, would not commit to voting for his own bill.

At least Lindsey Graham is able to read and understand the recent GOP autopsy.

George Zimmerman’s Father Says The ‘True Racists’ Are African-American:

Racism starts at an early age, normally feed by or from the beast themselves, our parents. Show me a racist and I'll point to the trunk of the tree for the source of the hate. George Zimmerman's dad is no exception. Having now heard from George's brother and now dad, its plan to see that this family is laden with racism! This family is proof in the pudding that racism is a learned behavior.

As the murder trial for George Zimmerman begins, his father has released an emotional and highly unusual e-book, publicly opining on all aspects of the case. The book by Robert Zimmerman Sr., called “Florida v. Zimmerman: Uncovering the Malicious Prosecution of my Son, George” was released today on Amazon for $3.99.

The most striking chapter is called “Who Are The True Racists,” an apparent effort to rebut claims that his son’s actions were racially motivated.

Previously, Zimmerman Sr. “believed generally racism was a thing of the past.” He says that, personally, he hadn’t encountered much racism, even though his wife is Hispanic. But after his son shot and killed Trayvon Martin, however, Zimmerman learned that racism is “flourishing at the insistence of some in the African American Community.” He then goes on to list various black leaders and organizations that he believes are racist:

Congressional Black Caucus. “[A] pathetic, self-serving group of racists… advancing their purely racist agenda.” He later adds that “all members of Congress should be ashamed of the Congressional Black Caucus, as should be their constituents.” And finally: “They are truly a disgrace to all Americans.”

 The NAACP. “[S]imply promotes racism and hatred for their own, primarily finical, interests” and “without prejudice and racial divide, the NAACP would simply cease to exist.”

While stopping short of explicitly calling President Obama a racist, Zimmerman Sr. does say that Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder have “shamelessly” sought to exploit his son’s case “to obtain great advantage in the African-American community.”

Zimmerman Sr. says that because of Holder’s decision to investigate whether Trayvon Martin’s death violated federal civil rights laws, the FBI did not have “adequate resources to investigate clearly identified potential terrorist [sic] in the Boston area.” Now, “tragically, we have suffered the consequences of Mr. Holder’s politically motivated decisions.”

I personally think the Zimmermans are trash. Whether the racist murderer George Zimmerman is guilt or innocent, that will be determined by a jury - I do not need a jury to tell me that this family oozes and bleeds racism!

E.W. Jackson, the American Taliban candidate for lieutenant governor of Virginia, misspelled the title of his own book!

Jackson's 2008 book Ten Commandments to an Extraordinary Life: Making Your Dreams Come True has a typo on its front cover, with one "m" missing in "commandments." The correct spelling appears on the back cover.

Jackson's book has received its share of criticism this month and rightly so. Earlier in June, heads turned from passages suggesting yoga could possibly lead to satanic possession. Another segment raised the idea that theories of evolution were false because chimpanzees couldn't speak.

"Transvaginal Bob" just can't seem to shake the one thing that could possible ruin his political career forever.

Transvaginal Bob McDonnell said Monday he can't answer questions about a Washington Post report that a federal grand jury will be impaneled to investigate whether he or his family took gifts in exchange for favors.

A huge development came last night via MSNBC's Rachael Maddow - this development came to light after Del. David Ramadan (R -Loudoun) confirmed to the Washington Post that he had been subpoenaed to appear before the federal grand jury.


From the Washington Post:

The Washington Post has previously reported that the FBI has been conducting interviews about the relationship between McDonnell (R) and his wife and the chief executive of a dietary supplement company who paid for the catering at the 2011 wedding of the governor’s daughter. The agents are exploring whether McDonnell assisted the company in exchange for gifts.

Ramadan’s subpoena, however, is the first public indication of the impaneling of a grand jury to review evidence in the McDonnells’ case — a significant escalation in the investigation.

Yes Edward Snowden wants his country to believe that he had our best interests at heart when he defied an obligation to his country - and became rogue do-gooder-whistle -blower - gone awry. Prior to coming out, Snowden code named himself "Verax"

Often is the case of late, American's think bashing their government, bitching about its every move, wanting it disbanded, wanting to over take it - somehow they think this stance equates to or is called "Patriotism" or better yet "Patriots". Yet these same "patriots" are the first in line when this diabolical government owes them something!

This latest espionage story sounds all to familiar, the smell of treason, the all to familiar disgruntled employee doling out the dirt.

Those for and against this issue are all over the board, Democrats and American Taliban-ers agree and disagree with each other.

Fifty six percent of Americans agree with the NSA efforts to data mine phone records. Currently 4.9 million Americans are entitled a secret clearance, 1.4 hold a top secret clearance [the highest] by the U.S. Government. Currently BAH [Booz Allen Hamilton] does 5.8 billion dollars worth of services for the Government.

How does a low-level, high school drop out, GED educated traitor get access to such high level security?

Edward Snowden, a 29-year-old defense contractor and former CIA employee, revealed himself on Sunday. He's already being compared to world-famous whistleblowers like Daniel Ellsberg and Bradley Manning.

Here's what you need to know about him:

The man who blew the lid on the National Security Agency’s surveillance program has stepped out of the shadows.

“I have no intention of hiding who I am because I know I have done nothing wrong,” Snowden told the Guardian from a hotel in Hong Kong.

“I’m willing to sacrifice all of that because I can’t in good conscience allow the U.S. government to destroy privacy, Internet freedom and basic liberties for people around the world with this massive surveillance machine they’re secretly building,” he added.

Since revealing documents that show the NSA was obtaining millions of Americans’ phone records and another program that allowed the government to gather information about the online activities of foreigners abroad via nine leading Internet companies, a diverse list of critics–from liberal privacy advocates to conservative libertarians–have expressed outrage over the government’s aggressive snooping.

Obama has defended the government’s practices. He insisted the country must strike a balance between keeping Americans safe while also meeting privacy concerns.

Meanwhile, Snowden is already being compared to world-famous whistleblowers like Daniel Ellsberg who leaked the Pentagon Papers and Bradley Manning who is on trial now. Here’s what he has revealed about himself so far:

He (briefly) served in the Army: Snowden was brought up in Elizabeth City, N.C., but his family later moved to Maryland, where he attended a community college. He said he was trying to get credits to obtain a high school diploma, which he lacked. He never finished the college program, but did eventually obtained his GED. In 2003, Snowden enlisted in the U.S. Army, wanting to join the Special Forces and fight in the Iraq war because he “felt like he had an obligation as a human being to help free people from oppression,” Snowden told the Guardian. He became disenchanted, however, saying his trainers “seemed pumped up about killing Arabs, not helping anyone.” Snowden was eventually discharged after breaking both legs.

He worked in the CIA: Following his brief stint in the Army, he got a job at an NSA facility, where he worked as a security guard. He eventually went to the CIA where he worked on IT security. In 2007, Snowden was stationed in Geneva, Switzerland, and was responsible for maintaining computer security. This is, according to him, where he had access to a number of classified documents and learned about the U.S. surveillance program. Snowden left the CIA in 2009 to take a job working with the NSA as an employee of various contractors. Most recently, he was living in Hawaii with his girlfriend.

He claims he had big-time access: While working for the government, Snowden claimed: “I had full access to the full rosters of everyone working at the NSA, the entire intelligence community, and undercover assets all around the world.” In a video posted on the Guardian‘s website, Snowden said that “any analyst at any time can target anyone,” adding, “I, sitting at my desk, certainly have the authorities to wiretap anyone–from you or your accountant, to a federal judge, to even the president.”

He fled to Hong Kong: On May 20, Snowden told his superiors at Booz Allen Hamilton, a firm where he said he earned $200,000 a year working on a contract with the NSA, that he was seeking treatment for his epilepsy and would need some time off. He then flew to Hong Kong where he spoke to reporters. Snowden said he picked Hong Kong because “they have a spirited commitment to free speech and the right political dissent.”

He’s hoping for asylum: Snowden said he’s left his hotel room about three times and is worried about being spied on. According to the Guardian, he lined the door of his hotel room with pillows to prevent anyone from listening in and wears a hood over his head while on his laptop entering passwords to prevent any hidden cameras from seeing him. His plan? “The only thing I can do is sit here and hope the Hong Kong government does not deport me,” he said. “My predisposition it to seek asylum in a country with shared values. The nation that most encompasses this is Iceland.”

He’s disappointed in Obama: Snowden donated $500 in 2012 to Ron Paul and told the U.K. paper he voted for a third-party candidate in 2008. “I believed in Obama’s promises,” he said. “I was going to disclose it [but waited because of his election]. He continued with the policies of his predecessor.”

Some GOPers want Snowden extradited: The White House has remained mum since Snowden outed himself. But Republican Rep. Peter King, chairman of the House’s Homeland Security subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence has called for Snowden to be extradited.

“If Edward Snowden did in fact leak the NSA data as he claims, the United States government must prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law and begin extradition proceedings at the earliest date,” the New York lawmaker said in a statement. “The United States must make it clear that no country should be granting this individual asylum. This is a matter of extraordinary consequence to American intelligence.”

Rep. Mike Rogers, who heads the House Intelligence Committee said Snowden has “released enough information to literally be dangerous.”

Some are heralding Snowden as a hero: Daniel Ellsberg, who leaked the Pentagon Papers in 1971, tells The Daily Beast that Snowden is a “hero.”

“People who respect or admire what I did, they may not realize it right now, but before this is over, they’ll recognize that he deserves great admiration,” Ellsberg added. “And people who hate what I did, can hate.”

An online petition, created Sunday, to pardon Snowden, has more than 10,000 signatures.

I would tell Mr. Snowden and his kind, that even Napoleon Bonaparte once thought he was a being a "patriot", and we all know how well that turned out for him!

Under current laws, what the NSA has done and is doing now is legal, the President has encouraged debate. Now is the time to, if we truly do have a problem with the PATRIOT ACT, to change it, but in some form or fashion, we have to know who is dealing with terrorists.

UPDATE: Edward Snowden is on the run [as he needs to be]. The Hong Kong hotel he was holed up in, he has since vacated and his whereabouts are unknown, but one could assume that he is probably public enemy number one for terra firma.
