INDEPENDENCE DAY




Independence Day is often a time for fireworks, barbecues and family as we celebrate the founding of the United States. But beyond the celebrations, this holiday should serve as a reminder to all of us that these privileges are not easily earned. For 236 years we have enjoyed the freedoms won by our nation’s founders and preserved by generations of soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen.

From Eugene Oregon to Gloucester Virginia, to military installations in Afghanistan and locations around the world, I want to thank each of you for your extraordinary efforts and your commitment to enabling our freedom via you're critical missions.
