MILITARY WEAPONS FOR PRIVATE CITIZENS?

A freshman Republican congressman is arguing that the 2nd Amendment could be interpreted broadly enough to allow ordinary citizens access to the same equipment that the military uses.

Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL), who unseated longtime Rep. Cliff Stearns last year thanks in large part to Tea Party support, sat down with Florida political blog The Shark Tank over the weekend to discuss gun violence. The freshman GOPer said he’d spoken with a number of constituents recently and approvingly relayed their sentiment: “when you read the Second Amendment,” Yoho said, “the militia had the same equipment as the military to protect them against the tyrannical government.” Preserving those protections, he argued, is “more important today than ever”:

Military weapon technology is considerably more advanced today than when the Bill of Rights was ratified in 1791, and so is U.S. military structure. Back then, the pinnacle of firearm technology was cannons and muskets, and citizens joining the military were expected to supply their own weapons. Nowadays, hydrogen bombs and tanks exist. The Supreme Court, in an opinion authored by Justice Antonin Scalia, sensibly ruled that Congress may prohibit citizens from carrying “dangerous and unusual weapons.” After all, we all know at least a few people who we’d prefer not to possess nuclear arms.

This is why Yoho’s declaration is a dangerous one. When single-shot guns that took a long time to reload were the most advanced gun available, there was less to fear in citizens having the same access to weapons as soldiers. To hold that same standard in the nuclear age is naive and alarming.

VIRGIINIA TEA BAGGERS ARE SNEAKY BASTARDS:

Virginia Government Gerrymandering

Gerrymandering Virginia Style!

While the eyes of the nation were turned toward President Barack Obama’s second inauguration on Monday, the Virginia State Senate managed to hurriedly pass a bill that would redistrict the state’s senate seats.

The vote, 20-19, would have been a tie had Democratic Senator Henry Marsh been present. Marsh, a civil rights leader, was in Washington, D.C., attending the inauguration.

Had Marsh been present, however, the state’s Lieutenant Governor would likely have broken the tie. The bill was reportedly pushed through in a matter of hours.

According to Virginia politics blogger Ben Tribbett, the move could potentially eliminate at least one Democratic seat, the 25th district, which currently belongs to former Democratic gubernatorial candidate Sen. Creigh Deeds (D).

This isn’t the first time that Virginia has attempted to redraw district lines conveniently for Republicans. Just last month, the state’s Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli lobbied to have the state exempt from the Voting Rights Act’s redistricting requirements because the state had “outgrown” racism. Largely, redistricting has disenfranchised Democratic votes.

The gerrymandering bill now goes to the heavily Republican House of Delegates for a vote, where it will likely face little opposition.

GUN HUGGER APPRECIATION DAY A SUCCESS: 5 SHOT AT THREE DIFFERENT GUN SHOWS

GUN HUGGER APPRECIATION DAY DOESN'T GO SO WELL

Insecure gun owners celebrating Gun Appreciation Day "succeed" in injuring five of their own from friendly fire. You couldn't come up with a better script for a lifetime movie! The irony is truly mightier than the gun. People are emailing NFTOS making a fuss because people were accidentally shot at Gun Appreciation Day. To be fair, I'm sure people were shot on purpose, too.

If the gun advocates behind this year’s inaugural Gun Appreciation Day had hoped to use the day’s festivities to build support for their anti-regulation platform, they are going to have to wait another year.

Emergency personnel had to be called to the scene of the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, North Carolina after a gun accidentally discharged and shot two people at the show’s safety check-in booth just after 1 pm. Both victims were transported to an area hospital, and the Raleigh Fire Department announced that the show would be closed for the rest of the day.

Gun Appreciation Day is the combined effort of dozens of far-right organizations who have been vocal opponents of gun control advocates’ efforts to reduce the number of dangerous weapons on our streets and prevent them from ending up in the hands of people with criminal backgrounds or a history of mental illness. In response to a renewed push for sensible reforms of gun laws after the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, groups like the National Rifle Association and the founders of Gun Appreciation Day have instead advocated for an increase in the number of guns in public places like elementary schools, arguing — falsely — that more guns will mean more protection for individuals.

Yesterday's "responsible" gun owners accidents, which took place at a safety check in surrounded by hundreds of people who presumably have at least had some form of training on how to properly handle a dangerous weapon, undermines that case. Earlier this week, an armed security officer at a Michigan charter school accidentally left his gun in a restroom that is regularly used by students as young as five years old.

Two similar incidents occurred at entirely separate gun shows in the Midwest, one in the Cleveland suburb of Medina, Ohio and the other at the state fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. In Ohio, the local ABC affiliate reports that one individual was brought to a hospital by EMS, and in Indiana Channel 8 WISH says that an individual shot himself in the hand while trying to reload his gun in the show parking lot. That brings the tally to 4 victims of gun violence so far at three different gun shows during the country’s first Gun Appreciation Day.

CNN reported yesterday that three people were injured at the gun show in Raleigh, not two as originally reported. All were victims of a shotgun that fired while the owner was removing it from a case.

Also on gun huggers day; the Discovery channel shows their respect by firing Ted " I crapped my pants so I wouldn't have to got to Vietnam" Nugent!

The good thing about focusing your phallic obsession on a real phallus is that if it goes off accidentally no one has to go to the hospital. With 5 being shot at 3 separate gun shows it's no wonder the NRA doesn't want the government keeping statistics!

HEY GUN NUTS, STOP WETTING YOUR PANTS........

I am always up for giving equal time to trampling on what some gun-fondling nut job wrongly believes are his 2nd Amendment "rights."

Bill Maher [in the video below] speaks frankly about the second amendment - you gun huggers may want to take a look as your second amendment is not the one under attack, it's all the other ones that you special patriots should be worried about.

WIIL THE REAL "RESPONSIBLE" GUN OWNER PLEASE STEP FORWARD

On January 19, our nation will have a new holiday to celebrate. Normally, we’d have the Hallmark corporation to thank for this, but this time there is a very different force behind the movement: the American gun lobby. That’s right, it’s time for the first annual “Gun Appreciation Day,” and instead of buying chocolates and flowers to mark the occasion, this holiday encourages you to buy -- you guessed it --- more guns!

In honor of this auspicious occasion, HUFFPO put together this collection of idiotic dangerous great moments in second amendment rights.

Obviously, for every responsible, law-abiding gun owner out there, there's one of these folks. It almost makes you wish there was some sort of enforceable law in place that kept guns out of the hands of irresponsible people.

Fortunately, none of these individuals were seriously injured... but, clearly, not for a lack of trying.

(Remember kids: if it wasn't obvious already, you should never, ever play with guns.)

Blog contents come from the huffington post.

REPUBLICAN TROLLS

REPUBLICAN TROLLS

Occasionally we find our NFTOS email loaded with infested crap from republican trolls. If you're somehow unfamiliar with the term, think of a troll as the drunk who pushes his way into your barroom conversation. The proverbial turd in the punchbowl, in the rather unlikely case there's a proverb out there about turds and punchbowls. You get the picture.

MADDOW:TROLLS

NFTOS' email trolls tend to be radical teapublicans of varying stripes, their intent is disruption. From the blunt-force troll with little to say  - that's not of the four-letter word variety to the benevolent troll who stops by to lecture everyone on the best practices of blog management. Trolls are very annoying.

But why stay annoyed when you can have fun instead? Make lemonade out of lemons readers. Trolls are an everyday reminder that someone, somewhere, disagrees with what you're saying and considers it important enough to respond to. So stand proud, progressives! They hate us. They really, really hate us.

Benevolent right-wing trolls are often as predictable as their more vulgar fellow travelers. First, they inject themselves into a debate, posing as "independent thinkers". Then they regurgitate well-worn out talking points that reveal them to be anything but nonpartisan. Once unmasked as right-wingers, the benevolent troll's saga usually ends in two ways. Neither, as you could imagine, are pretty.

Often the troll resorts to name-calling and baseless assertions, despite the fact they at first appeared to be "above the fray". Then, when confronted, they disappear completely without a peep. When confronted, they email one last jeremiad about how there's too much negativity on the site and they're leaving, never to read our blog again, because they've got better things to do. Only they brought the negativity. Only they don't have better things to do. They've decided to stop slumming and, I'm guessing, return to the Algonquin Round Table from whence they came.

While benevolent trolls are annoying, they're also rare. Most common are the blunt-force trolls, the commenter's with absolutely nothing to add. They leave intellect and proper grammar behind. All they bring is invective garbage. You could be a former member of the armed services with combat experience critiquing the current Secretary of Defense. But to them, you're a peace-loving hippie bastard with a latte in one hand and a joint in the other.

No matter who you are or what you say, you somehow fit into their image of liberalism. Pounding square pegs into round holes are their best skills, because their worldview has been so scrubbed, sanitized and simplified that even the most complex issues have been reduced to radical insane arguments.

If you're lucky, these temporary tough guys rarely metastasize into the third type of pest. Like a dope-sick junkie who can't resist any longer, relapsing trolls frequently fall off of the wagon and return to their old progressive haunts.

Let's not fool ourselves. If you're going to advocate for change, there are always going to be naysayers out there who will fight you, tooth-and-nail, to reverse that progress. Is it worth it to debate them? Absolutely, but remember to keep your eyes on the prize, not the cesspool from where your teapublican friends are slinging mud. Besides, if what you're saying is having that kind of effect among right-wingers, you've got to be doing something right.

RISE TO POWER

The NRA's Rise to Power: From a training organization to a fear mongering lobbying group.

In yet another example of self-righteous people living by a different set of rules - the NRA just doesn't get it, and is not backing down with it's bully tactics.

The NRA describes itself as a civil rights group. It is anything but. While it's intent may have started out that way, they are a far cry from gun safety today. Today the NRA is nothing but a shill for weapons manufacturers. According to an April 2011 report by the Violence Policy Center:
.....since 2005 contributions from gun industry corporate partners to the NRA total between $14.7 million and $38.9 million. The vast majority of funds – 74 percent – contributed to the NRA from corporate partners come from members of the firearms industry....... companies involved in the manufacture or sale of firearms or shooting-related products.

NRA SCATHING ATTACK ON PRESIDENTS KIDS

Understand readers, this association is not your dads hunting safety group anymore, these are a gutless, spineless, despicable form of shit that oozes from our society! These parasites delve into the ignorance of the gun hugger. They prod them with hints of Hitler-esk gun control , knocking on doors and confiscating weapons, and causing anarchy wherever they can.

It's time to meet these bullies head on, time to draw the line in the sand with these special patriots. The first thing to do would be to teach them what the second amendment says. The NRA ad attack on POTUS tells us one thing; that nothing is beyond the pale of these gun hugging enthusiasts.
"No single law - or even set of laws - can prevent every act of violence in our country. But the fact that this problem is complex can not be and excuse for inaction." ~ POTUS

VIRGINIA'S VERSION OF THE AMERICAN TALIBAN SAYS, SCREW FACTS

Science, facts, and reality often elude these special patriots - the unlettered Tea Bagger - the darlings of ignorance - Virginia's version of the American Taliban is no different than the parent company - the national right wing nut jobs!

Earlier this year, Virginia’s legislature commissioned a study to determine the impacts of climate change on the state’s shores. After Tea Party complaints, lawmakers approved the report on condition it strike the words “climate change” and “sea level rise” from the title.

This week, Virginia released its analysis, under the title Recurrent Flooding Study for Tidewater Virginia.” The report discusses the threat of flooding and rising sea levels to coastal Virginia, but gives less notice to the causes of climate change.

State Delegate Chris Stolle (R), a climate denier himself, deemed terms like “sea level rise” “liberal code words” and insisted on cutting them from the report’s description. The Virginia Tea Party originally slammed the study as “more ridiculous studies designed to separate us from our money and control all land and water use.”

The science backing climate change is noncontroversial. Even the modified report recognizes the reality of the changing climate:

Sea level rise in Virginia is a documented fact. Water levels in Hampton Roads have risen more than one foot over the past 80 years. The causes of this rise are well understood and current analyses suggest the rate of rise is increasing.

Despite the report’s concrete recommendations that Virginia “should immediately begin comprehensive and coordinated planning efforts,” lawmakers have already decided to ignore it, even though Virginia cities spend millions each year elevating roads and replacing piers to withstand flooding. The Virginian-Pilot writes, “State Sen. Ralph Northam, a Democrat who represents Norfolk and the Eastern Shore, and who was a co-patron of the study request last year, said he has no plans to introduce legislation on sea level rise this year. Neither does state Del. Chris Stolle, R-Virginia Beach, who also was a co-patron of the study last year.”

THE HYPOCRISY OF THE NRA

THE NRA AS OUTDATED AS THE SECOND AMENDMENT

When 20 children and 6 adults were gunned down in Sandy Hook Elementary School exactly one month ago today, the National Rifle Association rushed to blame video games, not guns, for inspiring such mass murders. But the gun lobby seemingly lost sight of its target in the past weeks, and over the weekend released a shooting app, called “NRA: Practice Range.”

The app bills itself as a “network of news, laws, facts, knowledge, safety tips, educational materials and online resource.” The NRA reports that it “instills safe and responsible ownership through fun challenges and realistic simulations.”

But it isn’t all about hunting. It allows players practice shooting at targets — coffin-shaped targets, with red bulls eyes at head- and heart-level:

GAME SCREEN SHOT

For 99 cents more, users can upgrade to a MK11 sniper rifle.

This is not the first hypocritical move by the NRA. In addition to video games, the organization also blamed violence in movies for a rise in gun violence and mass murders, while simultaneously running an exhibit in honor of such violence.

The gun industry itself has ties to video game producers: Gun manufacturers sign contracts allowing gaming companies to use firearm brand names in video games as a method of product promotion.

THE NEXT AMERICAN REVOLUTION

THE AMERICAN TALIBAN - A REVOLUTION  IN THE MAKING

The last three days we have blogged about James Yeager, the radical gun hugger saying he would "kill people" if gun laws were invoked. Yeager, is not the only idiot with this "new revolutionary" mentality. I have a life long childhood pal whom is a part of this growing group of conspiracy theorist whom think the US Government is Hitler reincarnated.

As Vice President Joe Biden prepares to offer legislative recommendations to reduce and prevent gun violence on Tuesday, gun advocates across the country fear that the administration may succeed in expanding background checks for all gun purchases or limiting the sale of high capacity magazines and assault weapons.

GUN  H UGGERS CIRCA 2013

State-based gun advocacy organizations are vowing to oppose any additional gun safety measures, NBC News reports, and have formed the National Coalition to Stop the Gun Ban to act as a counterweight to the National Rifle Association (NRA), which, the Coalition claims, is too eager to compromise with gun control advocates.

In an open letter to members of Congress, the Coalition argues that assault weapons are “functionally identical to hunting rifles” and that banning high capacity magazines would be “moot” since “nearly all mass murderers who use guns carry multiple firearms.” “Like the misnomer ‘assault weapon,’ the ‘high capacity’ designation of more than ten rounds for magazines represents nothing more than an arbitrary limit set on devices which have been in common possession since the early Twentieth Century.” The group also claims that attempts to expand background checks for all gun purchases is “nothing less than a stepping stone to national gun registration.”

A separate letter to President Obama from Grass Roots North Carolina (a member of the Coalition), warned the administration against issuing executive orders regulating guns, calling such action an “usurpation of power” and predicting that gun owners will resist any additional safety measures:
And what happens when, inevitably, some resist? Do you honestly believe people will go peacefully into bondage? How many will die as the direct result of your actions?

There is no need to send the Secret Service to my door, Mr. President (although I suspect you might anyway). I am not advocating violence; I am merely saying what others are afraid to.

The real question, Mr. President, is whether you so hunger for power that you are willing to foment what might be the next American Revolution. Will that be your enduring legacy?

THESE ASSHATS ARE THE BEST ADVOCATE FOR WHY WE SHOULD HAVE GUN CONTROL

With more and more second amendment radicals oozing from the cesspool of ignorance, it's time for the debate to end [as debating the unlettered revolutionary is fruitless]. If "Executive Order" is indeed our path to ensuring that the "James Yeager's of our world are reigned in -so be it. If it's "pack your bag's" time, so be it! The mentality or creed of this brand of troglodytes is; "pry my guns from my cold dead hands". Stupid and ignorance often impedes reality for these "special patriots"!

James Yeager seems confused as to why he is getting death threats. While I do not support them, Yeager would have to be brain dead to think that when he issues a statement that he is going to "kill people", that in return fire, the same would not be said to him - this speaks volumes of Yeager's cognitive thinking process!

The Yeager's of this world need to be sent a message, that your bully tactics, your scare tactics, and your inability to comprehend reality will no longer be tolerated!

DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE

James Yeager, NFTOS winner of the "Gun Huggers lunatic du jour award", has had his gun permit suspended. Yeager seems fairly arrogant in the first video. He wasn't so happy last night, when he posted yet another video on YouTube, this time with his lawyer, apologizing for his remarks. The apology is presumably so he can be with his loved ones again, his guns.

The first video shows a delusional James Yeager, Dr. Jekyll if you will, still defiant. Besides being a "gun" expert, Yeager would also like us to believe that he is a "Constitutional Law" expert.

Now Mr. Hyde if you will, Yeager with his lawyer below- a more subdued, medicated gun hugger.

The 2nd amendment starts with "A well regulated militia", not "Any idiot can have as many weapons as she/he wants". You can't legally own a surface to air missile, an Apache helicopter, or any number of other weapons of mass destruction. Why is it so unreasonable to make it a little harder for people to buy guns? It's harder to adopt a pet in this country than to buy an assault rifle, and this speaks volumes about Mr. Yeager's rights.

Which Yeager are we more likely to believe, the freak of nature that posted 2 "pack your bag" videos, or the more restrained "checked" lunatic with his lawyer?

Yeager braggingly states in the first video that MSNBC [Ed Shultz] contacted him. Yeager agreed to do the Friday night show, but Ed tweeted: " James Yeager, who threatened to "start killing people" if  issued an executive order, backs out on the ed show.

You gun huggers talk about the 2nd Amendment. Well I heavily believe in the 6th Commandment. God's Laws above Man's Law. I also think that my right to not be shot by some gum hugging second amendment revolutionary - out trumps your right to own and carry a gun! Often the case the adults in the room are the ones who should be allowed to take corrective action, and in the case the lawyer was this very adult.

JAMES YEAGER ADDS PATHOLOGICAL LIAR TO RESUME

It's a start! The poster boy for gun control, better known as James Yeager, [whom we blogged about yesterday, see blog directly below this one] the lunatic who made a viral YouTube video threatening to 'start killing people' over gun control has had his gun permit suspended by Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security. Now he's a CEO of a gun company without a gun permit. Very apropos if I do say so myself!

In a statement released Friday officials said they had suspended the handgun carry permit of James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response based on "material likelihood of risk of harm to the public".

On Thursday, a video of Yeager angrily claiming he would "start killing people" if President Barack Obama moved forward with gun control measures began to go viral on the internet.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

"The number one priority for our department is to ensure the public's safety. Mr. Yeager's comments were irresponsible, dangerous, and deserved our immediate attention. Due to our concern, as well as that of law enforcement, his handgun permit was suspended immediately. We have notified Mr. Yeager about the suspension today via e-mail. He will receive an official notification of his suspension through the mail," Commissioner Bill Gibbons said.

Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, a company that offers training to civilians in weapons and tactical skills, has [supposedly] multiple certifications with several different types of weapons. Officials with the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security were explicit and stated emphatically that Yeager was not a Department of Safety and Homeland Security certified instructor, nor is his school department certified.

Let me repeat in case you missed it: Yeager is not a certified instructor for Homeland Security nor is his "school" certified. Maybe a few days spent in Federal Custody [Secret Service] might bring this "patriot" back to reality, but something tells me this Einstein is not well known for his high IQ! Better yet, let the state of Tennessee issue Yeager a "confine and treat" order. I love seeing stupidity punished!

Yeager's resume can be seen here.

UHNINGED GUN HUGGER

JAMES YEAGER UNHINGED GUN HUGGER

BREAKING NEWS: UPDATED 18:24 [Yeager issues second rant, see "PART II "THE APOLOGY]

Yet another "patriot" seeking fifteen minutes of fame. Most humans would consider it rational to prevent the possession of firearms by the obviously mentally unstable. James Yeager is NFTOS' first project - A project ensuring that this American Taliban er is picked up by the Secret Service.

James Yeager the CEO of a Tennessee company that specializes in weapons and tactical training is threatening to "start killing people" if President Barack Obama moves forward with gun control measures.

In a video posted to YouTube and Facebook on Wednesday, Yeager went ballistic over reports that the president could take executive action with minor gun control measures after the mass shooting of 20 school children in Connecticut last month.

UNHINGED TEA BAGGER

James Yeager is one of the NRA "good guys" who will protect all of us from the bad guys. Yeager is the poster child for what's wrong with the second amendment!

Part II - "THE APOLOGY"

After the Drudge Report likened Obama to Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin on Wednesday, pro-gun conservatives expressed outrage over the idea that the White House could act without Congress.
"Vice President [Joe] Biden is asking the president to bypass Congress and use executive privilege, executive order to ban assault rifles and to impose stricter gun control," Yeager explained in his video message. "Fuck that."

"I'm telling you that if that happens, it's going to spark a civil war, and I'll be glad to fire the first shot. I'm not putting up with it. You shouldn't put up with it. And I need all you patriots to start thinking about what you're going to do, load your damn mags, make sure your rifle's clean, pack a backpack with some food in it and get ready to fight."

The CEO concluded: "I'm not fucking putting up with this. I'm not letting my country be ruled by a dictator. I'm not letting anybody take my guns! If it goes one inch further, I'm going to start killing people."

As The Atlantic noted on Wednesday, gun advocates can stop "freaking out" because Obama cannot ban assault weapons or close the gun show loophole without Congress.

The president, however, can take small steps like modernizing the background check system and limiting importation of assault rifles.

By Thursday morning, the video promising violence in response to gun control measures had been removed from Yeager's YouTube page, but the link had not been removed from Facebook.

Yeager is one of these special patriots whom will tell the world how responsible he is with weapons. I believed him right until he said "Fuck That".

I am going to state unequivocally that I want Yeager's guns taken away! If you say things like this, you should never ever again be trusted with adult scissors. You should never be allowed anywhere near a plastic spoon. And this opinion has nothing to do with gun control: it's just plain common sense.

Yeager is not shouting fire in a crowded theater; he's promising to start a fire in a crowded theater. The FBI and Secret Service should be knocking at his door any minute now.

THE RISE OF IMAGINARY HITLER

To follow up from yesterday's blog, the viral outpouring from the lunacy of Alex Jones is at an all-time fever pitch.

We can always depend on Jon Stewart to bring common sense to tough issues.

JON STEWART

"Their paranoid fear of a possible dystopic future prevents us from addressing our atcual dystopic present. We can't even begin to address 30,000 gun deaths that are actually, in reality, happening in this country every year because a few of us must remain vigilant against the rise of imaginary Hilter."

"The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun", I guess NRA douche bag Wayne LaPierre didn't see this one coming. Radical gun owner found dead from single gun shot wound to the head. Maybe Keith Ratliff should have had a weapon, because we all know that good guys with guns always win versus evil. Oppps, Ratliff did have a gun, an arsenal in fact, there goes that theory Wayne.

Glenn Beck and Tea Party enthusiast try to distance themselves from Jones saying, "he ain't one of us"!

BECK

The number of tea baggers that espouse Alex Jones like qualities are a plethora. Whether it be Dana Loesch, Glenn Beck, or Alex Jones, they are all a part of this brand of special patriots, aptly named The American Taliban.

Sources close to NFTOS say that major changes are on the horizon for gun control, and rightly so. Its apparent that guns owners aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, so we have to make the guns smarter than the human, which shouldn't be all that difficult.

Vice President Joe Biden said this evening that the White House plans to act quickly to curb gun violence and will explore all avenues - including executive orders that would not require the approval of Congress.

ALEX JONES, ANOTHER NUT FROM THE FRUIT BASKET

ALEX JONES, TODAY'S WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

Alex Jones is no ordinary douche bag, nor is he your average member of the American Taliban  - he is the epitome of  the phenomenon known as “angry phat GOP white man”. Normally in instances like this we just let the video speak for itself, but because this waste of human flesh is so far off the reservation, it’s best we back-fill with content.

Mr. Jones makes Glenn Beck look like an amateur when it comes to conspiracy theories. Jones likes to refer to himself as a Paleoconservatist  or a "aggressive constitutionalist" - in our world,  this troglodyte would be considered the lowest form of human to troll tera firma!  Jones is not one for sitting back when it comes to stupid, no this Einstein takes unlettered to a new level. Jones raises the bar with malcontent for his government.

JONES RANT #1

Jones‘ background, like other radical nut-jobs, seem to run down the same path, never served their country, high school or college dropouts, like Sean Hannity, Jones has had problems playing well with others - while in the radio world he often intimidated fellow broadcasters. Jones has had legal ramifications for actions conducted in radio land. Like Dana Loesch, he totes bullhorns, so as to ensure that his audiences of three or four hear him.

Conspiracy theories are a plethora with this less than honorable man, which include 9/11 and Oklahoma City bombings. The Southern Poverty Law Center Intelligence files assert that he has "exploited racial animosities" to "appeal to the fears of the antigovernment Patriot movement." Jones sees himself as a libertarian, and like most of these self-righteous Richard Craniums, they only worry about their own personal story. Jones, like John Boehner, are the heroes and viewers of their own delusional Lifetime TV movies.

JONES RANT #2

Jones makes his living as an antigovernment conspiracy theorist, whom often crosses the Rubicon of race. In 2011 – Jones did more than any other to popularize “truther” theories about government complicity in 9/11 attacks and declared that the U.S. government believes that “whites are the new Al Qaeda.”

Jones’ sources for paranoia are a plethora. Jones’ instability on CNN is nothing new for those who have heard or seen him in action.  Like, Dana Loesch, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and the dead Andy Breitbart, the fruits in the American Taliban arsenal are endless!

Jones hasn’t been lurking in the shadows, he has been out front with his lunatic fringe mentality since the “Branch Davidian” days - a vile human for many years - this pile of fecal matter we saw on TV last night just didn’t morph last night - and this ignorance and hate for the U.S. Government is the backbone of his kind - the radical American Taliban. Jones often bloviates non-stop, the traditional republican radio monopoly if you will- Jones is the kind of guy that the American Taliban uses to inoculate and divert - the focus from the true idiots - the“tin foilers”.

If Jones is your voice of reasoning for the second amendment, watch the above videos, if after watching he is still your voice of reasoning; keep viewing until you get it! Jones is the very type of people we want to keep guns from. If you are truly a “responsible” gun owner, you might want to muzzle asshats like Jones, as his kind is detrimental to your cause.

DEBT CEILING MAYHEM

The 14th Amendment, Giving The GOP The Right To Sit Down And STFU!

Often the case, we hear the GOP complaining about two amendments, the first and the second - as if these where the only amendments to the United States Constitution.

Speaker of the House, John Boehner, and house teapublicans have made it clear of their intent to, once again, hold our country hostage, with future debt ceiling deals. The last time they did this, in August 2011, it resulted in the downgrade of the credit rating, and huge losses in the stock market.

Lying within this next major battle is one simple solution, the President's ability to use the 14th Amendment to declare the debt limit unconstitutional. This constitutional right is a welcome development in a debate too often characterized by fly-by night economics and outright demagoguery from the radical GOP. If the President seizes the moment, we could not only end this damaging political grandstanding, but redirect the national conversation to what really matters: fiscal policy that addresses the needs of ordinary Americans.

Bruce Bartlett, a former Reagan admin official wrote an essay on the subject, "The Debt Limit Option President Obama Can Use," which of late has started to gain significant policy traction. More recently, Treasury Secretary Geithner has made much the same point:
The budget/debt ceiling negotiations have focused on spending cuts and tax hikes which are neither necessary nor desirable at this juncture. This is not the time to invoke reduced government spending, especially when our economy is nowhere near operating close to full capacity. Progressives need to stop accepting the false logic that we "need to be responsible" and "deal with the budget deficit at some point in the future" on the spurious grounds of "affordability", solvency", or "because the bond markets won't fund us any longer." That's all malarkey!

Here's an idea; Invoke the 14th amendment and then stop talking about the budget deficit altogether. The US is not broke and cannot go bankrupt. Let go of that myth. When invoking the 14th amendment, the President could argue that the deficit reduction principles embodied in the debt ceiling limit should never be an object of government policy. He can point out that non-discretionary elements of the budget -- the automatic stabilizers like unemployment insurance -- will fall as economic growth resumes, thereby reducing the deficit. He can remind us that there is only one reason why growth slows relative to productive capacity: Some sector spends less than before while another sector does not plug the spending drain.

The American Taliban is trying to strap yet another bomb to the torso of America. The fourteenth amendment section four says:
The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

Furthermore:
In Freytag v. Commissioner (1991), the Supreme Court held that the president has "the power to veto encroaching laws . . . or to disregard them when they are unconstitutional." The final word still may lie with the Supreme Court, but in the interim, the president need not wait for its opinion. "As a simple matter of constitutional logic, the president can refuse to enforce a statute he believes violates the Constitution," said Professor Barry Friedman of NYU Law School in a telephone interview with me...

It is also unlikely that the action would be successfully challenged in court. Only Congress would have standing to sue, but doing so would require a joint resolution, something a Democratic-controlled Senate would almost certainly block.

You know how you control overreaching radical congressmen and women? You give them benchmarks, guidelines, and requirements. You give them very little variance for screwing up. Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling:
"I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just
pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more
than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible
for re-election.

Defuse this bomb that the American Taliban has strapped on our country Mr. President, use the very documents that the American Taliban so profoundly misunderstands, and give them a dose of their own medicine….. Go “Constitutional” on them!

A petition is making its round this am, be a true patriot and send the American Taliban a message, “not on our watch”!
