Walking down the street in America while being black appears to be a crime. Laws are created to protect citizens, not to keep murders free.
On February 26, Trayvon Martin was shot and killed as he walked to a family member's home from a convenience store where he had just bought some candy. He was only 17 years-old.
Trayvon's killer, George Zimmerman, admitted to police that he shot Trayvon in the chest. Zimmerman, the community's self appointed "neighborhood watch leader," called the police to report a suspicious person when he saw Travyon, a young black man, walking from the store. Zimmerman still hasn't been charged for murdering Martin.
Trayvon was a hero. At the age 9, Trayvon pulled his father from a burning kitchen, saving his life. He loved sports and horseback riding. At only 17 he had a bright future ahead of him with dreams of attending college and becoming an aviation mechanic. Now that’s all gone.
When Zimmerman reported Trayvon to the police, they told him not to confront him. But he did anyway. All we know about what happened next is that our 17 year-old son, who was completely unarmed, was shot and killed.
It's been nearly two weeks and the Sanford Police have refused to arrest George Zimmerman. In their public statements, they even go so far as to stand up for the killer - saying he's "a college grad" who took a class in criminal justice.

Teen calls girlfriend prior to death
This phone call from the slain Trayvon Martin to his girlfriend seconds before he was shot dead by a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain - "blows out of the water" the shooter's self-defense claim and he should be arrested "right now"!
Treyvon Martin, another senseless death by the right to tote vigilantes! Vigilante justice is never justified. How obvious does murder have to be? At 17, what did this young man do to deserve death - he was black walking the streets of America.
They say the deck of an aircraft carrier is the most dangerous place to be, I say bullshit, be black and walk the streets of white suburbia, now that's dangerous! A self-deputized armed block watcher follows an unarmed 17 year old black kid, who was walking home from the store after purchasing a bag of skittles, and winds up shooting the kid in the chest, killing him. Where the hell is justice?
The below story is why you should stand for your right to unionize! The below is what happens when you work in a State that is a "right to work" State. You'll soon see that in right to work states...you have no rights!
They weren't wearing sagging pants or revealing clothing. But dressing in an orange shirt is apparently enough to get fired at one Florida law firm, where 14 workers were unceremoniously let go last Friday.
In an interview with the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, several of the fired workers say they wore the matching colors so they would be identified as a group when heading out for a happy hour event after work. They say the executive who fired them initially accused them of wearing the matching color as a form of protest against management.
The color orange is arguably Florida's defining color. The self-described "Sunshine State" is widely known for its orange juice exports.
The law offices of Elizabeth R. Wellborn, P.A. offered "no comment" to Sun-Sentinel reporter Doreen Hemlock, but four ex-employees tell the paper they were simply wearing their orange shirts to celebrate "pay day" and the upcoming Friday group happy hour.
"There is no office policy against wearing orange shirts. We had no warning. We got no severance, no package, no nothing," Lou Erik Ambert told the paper. "I feel so violated."
Ironically, had the employees been wearing orange as a form of protest, it would have been illegal to fire them, ABC News reports.
After the 14 employees were fired, an executive said anyone wearing orange for an "innocent reason" should speak up. At least one employee immediately denied any involvement or knowledge of a protest and explained the happy hour color coordination. Nonetheless, they were still fire.
"I'm a single mom with four kids, and I'm out of a job just because I wore orange today," Meloney McLeod told the paper.
And there's nothing anyone can do about the terminations since Florida is an at-will state, meaning employers can fire an employee who doesn't have a contract "for a good reason, for a bad reason or even for the wrong reason, as long as it's not an unlawful reason," Eric K. Gabrielle, a labor and employment lawyer at Stearns Weaver, told the Sun-Sentinel. Gabrielle said there was no apparent violation of the law in this case.
This is why it's important for Wisconsinites and other States undergoing union busting ideology to get out and VOTE, for if not, you truly get what you deserve!
San Diego tea bagger shows the true colors that he flies, and it isn't the Gadsden flag [don't tread on me"]
Where the hell is Andrew Breitbart now, or better yet, why isn't one of the living troglodytes left at Breitbart dot com talking about this!? Well Andy's dead of coarse , but, funny how things often turn full circle.
Breitbart Prior To Death Screaming "Stop Raping The People:
This is one of those instances where one should probable practice what they preach!
San Diego resident Michael John Kobulnicky, 50, a leader in the San Diego Tea Party and former regional director of the Southern California Conservative Party, is under arrest for allegedly kidnapping and raping a local woman on Fiesta Island.
“He dragged her out of the car and sexually assaulted her pretty brutally,” San Diego Police Lt. Andra Brown told ECM news partner 10 News in late February, shortly after the February 25 assault occurred.
On his website, http://www.michaelkobulnickyusa.com, Kobulnicky lists his leadership roles as “currently the co-organizer and public relations representative for the San Diego Tea Party.”
After Kobulnicky’s arrest, the San Diego Tea Party issued a statement indicating that Kobulnicky took leave the group in January for personal reasons and had not been in touch since then, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. He has been removed from his position while the legal process runs its course, the statement said, adding that “"Our hearts and our thoughts go out to the victim.”
The suspect previously identified himself with the Conservative Party USA. In 2009, he was listed as regional director of the Southern California Conservative Party, according to http://conservativepartyusa.org/bios/kobulnicky.html
According to his website, Kobulnicky supports Christian values, is a father of five sons, and is co-founder and president of the National Council of Americans, Inc, a nonprofit that helps youths.
He also lists prior employment as faculty at California Miramar University, teacher and coach at Val Verde Unified School District, manager of a landscape design company, and more.
His Facebook page indicates he became engaged in early March and planned to be married in April. Kobulnicky, who is divorced, was accused of domestic violence in 2008, San Diego Superior Court records indicate. The report:
According to police, Kobulnicky offered a ride to a woman walking on Linda Vista Road around 7 p.m. on February 25. But instead of taking her home, he drove to Fiesta Island. There, the 205-pound, 6 ft. 3-inch tall suspect is accused of pulling the victim out of the vehicle and sexually assaulted the 56-year-old woman, then leaving her on the island.
He is charged with rape, kidnapping, and forcible sex with a foreign object. Evidence includes surveillance video shot at a local convenience store shortly before the kidnapping occurred. Kobulnicky is being held without bail pending arraignment on Monday.
DOUBLE RAPE: According to tea bagger rule - if the victim is pregnant she'll have to endure yet another rape - the transvaginal probe/ ultrasound probe if she wishes to abort her fetus -that is if should she be pregnant by this slimy piece of pig shit. Not only is she abused by the tea bagger, but by her local government as well. How's that for justice?
According to reports, America’s most infamous Hockey Mom said of President Obama, and I quote from the article in today’s DailyBeast, “Our sitting president was not vetted,” referring to the 2008 election.
“How could you of all people level that accusation?” How could the dumbest human to ever occupy a governors office [the half governor] or a Vice Presidential candidate claim such lunacy...enter the asshat named Saranoya Palin.
This " Vetting" process started with the now dead Andy Breitbart. The dead man claimed to have videos that was to vet POTUS - and that these videos would rock the world to how bad POTUS was - a man living a double life if you will. Well the bomb shell never surfaced. At the end of the day Breitbart and company never looked more stupid - but then again that's what Breitbart et al manufactures.
What is Palin talking about? Was she not following the bruising Democratic Primary that went a heck of a lot longer than the current Republican Presidential Primary has gone? Did she follow the series of debates, which aided in the vetting process? Oh yeah, I forgot, she was busy watching Russia from her house in Alaska and must have missed all that.
Now this buffoon wants to debate POTUS. While it's hard to contain my laughter, here is a statement from Saranoya:
"I’m not running for any office, but I’m more than happy to accept the dubious honor of being Barack Obama’s 'enemy of the week' if that includes the opportunity to debate him on the issues Americans are actually concerned about," Palin wrote in a note on her Facebook page, posted late Monday. Palin was responding to a Web video fundraising for Obama that uses recent footage of Palin criticizing the president.
The part time governor suggested that:
"I’m willing and free to discuss these issues with the President anywhere, anytime,"
AND THAT:
"Obama could also debate any of "the four patriots currently running for the GOP nomination" — Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum or Ron Paul — on the issues."
Beside the fact that the President of the United States is too busy to respond to self-serving challenges from addled, egotistical reality TV characters (who’s next? Snooki?) whom would be the one schooled and vetted during this debate? The Harvard Law Grad, or the unlettered half governor?
Caribou Barbie is, once again, attempting to float the false claim that Barack Obama is some sort of radical, and doing so in the immediate wake of an HBO movie that made a point of her husband’s membership in a secessionist political party in Alaska and her eagerness to lie about it. The hypocrisy of accusing the president of palling around with radicals.
Palin challenged the media to re-open a discussion about the president’s “radical past”. This from a woman whose theology involves speaking in tongues, casting out witches, and the power of “Prayer Warriors; whose simplistic ignorance of the oil market permits her to assert that “Drill, baby, drill!” will result in lower gasoline prices despite the opinion of every serious oil and gas expert saying otherwise…a truth even Bill O’Reilly admits.
This needy bit of desperation, posted for Sarah’s moronic fan base, is a win-win for the former half-term beauty pageant grifter. In the snowball’s chance in hell the president bothers to respond to the challenge, it only lends credibility to the withering publicity hound. In the almost certain event that her attention whoring is ignored, Sarah and her band of pig people will crow that President Obama is afraid to debate her.
Someone needs to explain to Sarah the simple truth expressed so succinctly by F. Scott Fitzgerald: “There are no second acts in American life.”
Teapublican candidate Rick Santorum is declaring a war on pornography. The religious conservative wants to ban and censor sexually explicit pictures and videos in an attempt to “preserve our culture from the scourge of pornography."
While one might think a war on poverty, or a war on unemployment, or a pledge to end real war, might be a more appropriate and relevant goal for a presidential hopeful, [caution this link is EXTREMELY GRAPHIC] "Frothy" Santorum obviously feels different.
The former Pennsylvania senator is advocating for a harsh crackdown on the distribution of pornography on the Internet, on cable/satellite TV, hotel/motel TV, retail shops and through the mail.
Santorum issued his declaration of war on porn via his website. The following is an excerpt from that declaration:
America is suffering a pandemic of harm from pornography... Pornography is toxic to marriages and relationships...
Every family must now be concerned about the harm from pornography. As a parent, I am concerned about the widespread distribution of illegal obscene pornography and its profound effects on our culture...
The Obama Administration has turned a blind eye to those who wish to preserve our culture from the scourge of pornography and has refused to enforce obscenity laws. While the Obama Department of Justice seems to favor pornographers over children and families, that will change under a Santorum Administration...
As the excerpt indicates, Santorum is not only concerned with the supposed harm caused to society, but he is also interested in blaming the Obama administration for said supposed harm. Santorum is, after-all, a politician. Many see this latest move as but another political stunt to ingratiate himself further with the religious right.
Santorum has made a political career out of fighting the culture wars. His declaration of war on porn is part and parcel of his on-going defense of a conservative Christian world view many find to be intolerant and hypocritical.
Recently Santorum trashed a classic speech delivered by John F. Kennedy articulating the constitutional demands for a separation between church and state. Santorum has also condemned women for working outside the home and using birth control, expressed a hatred for higher education, and declared women are too emotional for combat.
AND NOW THE REST OF THE STORY
Unfortunately for "forthy" Santorum, porn research indicates that more porn (both gay and straight) is most consumed in the 'Bible Belt' red states of America (Utah, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alaska, North Dakota, and West Virginia) than anywhere else in the U.S.
Sometimes the story is just to good to be true, in this case I sit back while writing this blog laughing my ass off, as it appears that the tea baggers are the biggest supporters of porn in the USA. Per the statistics, "Frothy" would be cutting off the sex supply to the very base he expects to vote for him. How appropos!
More than 10 state legislatures are considering or have passed bills forcing women to receive an ultrasound before having an abortion. And Pennsylvania lawmakers are considering one of the most far-reaching ultrasound bills in the nation.
Gov. Tom Corbett (R) reaffirmed this week that he supports the anti-abortion measure so long as it’s not obtrusive because women could simply close their eyes during the procedure:
QUESTION: Making them watch…does that go too far in your mind?
CORBETT: I’m not making anybody watch, OK. Because you just have to close your eyes. As long as it’s on the exterior and not the interior.
Critics say Corbett’s comments showhe doesn’t understand how the bill would even work. While the Pennsylvania legislation has been amended to remove references to invasive transvaginal ultrasounds, the language suggests a transvaginal ultrasound could still be required if the embryo is too small. Patrick Murphy, a Democrat running for attorney general, called for Corbett to apologize for his statement. “It’s unthinkable that he would so casually dismiss this by advising women to just close their eyes,” Murphy said.
The state House canceled a vote on the bill this week because medical associations have voiced concerns about the measure. And 48 percent of Pennsylvania votersoppose the ultrasound bill, with 42 percent supporting the measure, according to a new Quinnipiac poll. And 64 percent of voters oppose requiring transvaginal ultrasounds.
Meanwhile, Corbett’s approval rating among Pennsylvanians is dropping.
The mentaility of a radical tea bagger, its deep rooted in hate, arrogance, and ignorance.
Arizona Senate Committee Endorses ‘Tell Your Boss Why You’re On The Pill’ Bill
Arizona has taken up yet another draconian law for women’s health – this time replicating but broadening the federal push to let employers deny women access to birth control. The bill stipulates that, unless a woman brings in a note proving she is not using it to avoid getting pregnant, an employer can deny birth control to any woman in the workplace.
By a vote of 6-2, an Arizona State Senate Judiciary committee yesterday endorsed the measure:
Arizona House Bill 2625, authored by Majority Whip Debbie Lesko, R-Glendale, would permit employers to ask their employees for proof of medical prescription if they seek contraceptives for non-reproductive purposes, such as hormone control or acne treatment. “I believe we live in America. We don’t live in the Soviet Union,” Lesko said. “So, government should not be telling the organizations or mom and pop employers to do something against their moral beliefs… My whole legislation is about our First Amendment rights and freedom of religion.”
The argument that providing birth control violates the First Amendment is bogus, debunked by a twenty year-old opinion by conservative Supreme Court Justice Scalia.
Needless to say, many women do not feel comfortable turning over their medical records to their employers, even if they do have a condition that qualifies them under Lesko’s proposed law. Especially since, as an at-will employment state, an Arizona employer would likely be able to fire a woman if they saw anything in her gynecological history that he (or, yes, she) didn’t like. But, under the proposed law, a boss could fire the woman if the woman didn’t turn it over, too.
Aside from the obvious health benefits that lead some women to use birth control, contraceptive use has helped shrink the gender pay gap; it even benefits the economy as a whole.
Arizona is yet another red state willing to push the envelop with regards to a womens perogative to their own bodies.
First, a bill that gives immunity to doctors who lie to couples about the results of their prenatal tests in order to prevent them from getting an abortion. Now, a bill that would give your boss the green light to fire you for using birth control. You think I am kidding? I wish. For a decade now, Arizona insurance companies have been required to provide coverage for contraception just like other prescriptions. But, because they saw an opening to score some political points, some politicians there are suddenly moving to take that coverage away from women and their families.
And we aren’t talking here just about exemptions for religiously affiliated employers like Catholic hospitals and universities. We are talking about authorizing secular, for-profit employers to deny a woman coverage for birth control if the employer doesn’t believe that she and her partner should be allowed to have sex without getting pregnant. Yup, that’s right. If theowner of the Taco Bell where you work opposes birth control, Arizona legislators want to give him a legal right to deny you insurance coverage for your pills.
Sadly, that isn’t even the half of it. You may want to sit down for this one. Arizona legislators know that whether or not her insurance covers it, a woman may get the prescription she needs to prevent an unintended pregnancy. They want to give her boss the right to control that too. The bill they are pushing would not only allow employers to take the insurance coverage away, but it would also make it easier for an employer who finds out that his employee uses birth control to fire her. You heard me right . . . to fire her. And I thought Rush Limbaugh’s comments were as low as you could go on this one.
After the shock value settled in [It took me 2 hours to get my ability to write this blog] - In a not-so-round-about way, women in AZ can be fired for having sex but not wanting to conceive. Hmmmmmm. WTF is wrong with this picture readers?
Welcome to fascism at its best:
" When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross"(Sinclair Lewis in the 1930s).
Readers, everyone needs to remember that indignation at stupidity changes nothing -- unless you can vote them out of office. Register! Vote! Register others! Drive people to the polling places! Offer to babysit! Get these radical misfits out office immediately!
As the suffragettes used to say -- "DEEDS NOT WORDS."
Ask Barack Obama about his religious affiliation, and he’s a Christian. Ask Mississippi or Alabama voters, and you might find a different answer.
In the midst of tight GOP primaries in both states, Public Policy Polling (PPP) has released information showing that a majority of voters in the Deep South do not see Obama as a Christian. PPP’s Alabama survey of 600 likely GOP primary voters found when asked:
“Do you think Barack Obama is a Christian or a Muslim or are you not sure?”
Only 14% believe the President’s claim to being a Christian;
45% believe he is a Muslim and 41% are not sure.
76% identify as Republican; 3% as Democrats and 11% as independents
60% Do not believe in evolution
68% Describe themselves as Evangelical Christians
53% Have a favorable opinion of Rush Limbaugh; 33% do not
21% Believe that inter-racial marriage should be illegal
The survey emerges on the heels of a recent stream of public questioning regarding Obama’s religion. Back on Feb. 18, Rick Santorum took aim at the president’s beliefs, charging that his White House decisions are driven by a “different theology.”
“It’s not about your quality of life,” Santorum told supporters at a Tea Party rally in Columbus, Ohio. “It’s not about your jobs. It’s about some phony ideal. Some phony theology. Oh, not a theology based on the Bible.”
Three days later, evangelist Franklin Graham joined the chorus, leaning toward the same opinion of those unsure Southern voters. Obama “has said he’s a Christian, so I just have to assume that he is,” Graham said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
Facing criticism from prominent black religious leaders, Graham later apologized for his remarks:
“I regret any comments I have ever made which may have cast any doubt on the personal faith of our president, Mr. Obama,”
Religion rumors are nothing new for Obama. Back in August 2010, a poll showed that almost one-fifth of all Americans believed he is a Muslim. Obama responded in an interview with “NBC Nightly News” saying that “the facts are the facts” regarding his Christian faith.
Unlettered teapublicans, the mind is truly a terrible thing to waste! Mississippi and Alabama statistically hold the lowest education standards in the country. Its people like this that make it hard to say I'm proud to be an American. I love my country, but I'm not a big fan of the idiots that give us a bad name around the world. America used to be a respected country, and these people are tarnishing the respect we once had.
Got an email earlier today and here is how it goes:
"I'm from Alabama. Young registered voter. I'm voting Republican in the primaries. I have respect for our President. I believe he's a Christian. I believe in Creationism as well as evolution to a certain degree. I believe in gradual change over time, not the idea that humans evolved from apes. I am a Christian, but I have respect for all people. I can NOT stand Rush at all. I can't stand Faux News as well. And whether or not a black man marries a white woman is there business. As long as they treat each other right and love one another why does it matter? Same with gay people. As a Christian I love all people. Don't let this survey give a bad impression of all Alabamians. I love my state. Just not all the people from my state. There are well educated people down here!"
I can honestly say four years of this ignorance is enough, but I am not surprised we are still here dealing with this considering how stupid teapublicans are!
I would love to see the United States require every citizen to take an IQ test and then see the map that produces. I'm going to lay odds that teapublican States... will be listed as having the lowest average IQ per capita than Democratic states. The standing joke about southern people having an IQ to match their shoe size... isn't a joke in Mississippi, it's a very sad reality with many in the population. Ironically, ignorance is taught in these states, passed down from generation to generation.
Anyone who doesn't believe America has a third-world need only visit the deep-South.
I bet you thought this type of unlettered American died with the civil war? Many GOP'ers - like these Mississippians [Hillbilly, redneck, "South's Gonna Do IT Again Mentality"] express this ideology. This is why education is important, a mind is truly a terrible thing to waste, and if you believe not, keep watching the above video until it sinks in.
This should be your wake up call readers! This is the proof in the pudding, this is why its imperative for progressives to vote in the general election come November.
Teapublicans have a major gap within their own Party. They pretty much look like true troglodytes at this point.
They have their Nobles (Leadership) and their Peasants (The Base)
They continue to thrive on and embrace ignorance and the lack of education, because to them, an educated peasant is a dangerous one. Its hard to hand feed educated people lies to scare them into voting for them.
Then when they finally do get into office, they do everything to help their fellow noblemen, while continuing to suppress the lower class.
We may be witnessing the death of the teapublican Party. If so, good riddance!
The party apparatus has lied to its faithful since its inception: The party of small government… the party of freedom… the party that supports the Constitution… the party of the 2nd Amendment [the only amendment known to the unlettered group]. The rhetoric has never matched the performance, but the faithful proles always held out hope that the next time would be different. They held their collective noses and voted for the candidate the elites shoved down their throats.
It is this mind-numbing ignorance that wallows amongst the teapublican Party — the so-called party of conservatism — to promote a pack of status quo leftists as conservatives and get away with it. It is what allows the doublethink to thrive: War is peace; freedom is slavery; ignorance is strength. Add one more: Left is right.
The teapublican firing squad consists of:
RINO [republican in name only]
Reagan conservatives: Implies exactly what is says. 1950 GOP er
Faux News Conservative:
These are one of the angriest groups of teapublicans. They watch Faux News or listen to Conservative Talk Radio and they think it makes them an expert on politics. The only knowledge they have of politics is parroted talking points without any facts to back them up. When you defeat them in debate they will resort to calling you names like “Liberal”, or “commie” or “socialist” or “baby-killer” etc. They think all liberals are socialists that want to take their money and give it to people who don’t deserve it.
Radical Christian Republicans:
These teapublicans are hypocrites. They do everything in the name of Christ, while simultaneously acting as un-Christlike as humanly possible. They support the right to carry assault weapons, are pro-War, and completely ignore the fact that the Bible depicts Christ as a Liberal who was opposed to capitalism and violence. They sincerely believe that this is God’s country and that God loves us more than anyone else in the world. They think that anyone that is not 100% pro-Israel is anti-semitic. They hate everyone that doesn’t agree with them and think the Bible tells them to, and they hate Gay people because they think they are sinners.
Racist republicans:
Racist Republicans hate Obama because he’s black. They think that all Muslims are terrorists. They think Obama is a terrorist Muslim. The think anyone with a name like Obama’s is a terrorist.
Birther Republicans:
The birthers think that Obama was born in Kenya. No matter how much evidence you present them with that is contradictory to that they will continue to insist that he is not the legitimate President. They are sore-losers because McCain lost the election, and they will never support Obama, even if he paid off the entire National Debt.
Teapublicans:
These teapublicans are a dumbed-down combination of the previous 2 groups of teapublicans. They think Sarah Palin is intelligent and it’s the media filter’s fault that she looks so stupid. They think Reagan was fiscally Conservative even though he tripled the deficit. They watch Faux News religiously, and think Glenn Beck is credible. They don’t understand why people think they’re racist while they’re standing next to people holding racist signs. They protest higher taxes even though taxes have gone down for 95% of working families.
Unlettered republicans:
These teapublicans are teapublicans because they think it’s cool. They have a teapublican in one of the other groups listed, so they think they know what they’re talking about. They have terrible spelling and grammar but they expect you to believe whatever they say because they are saying it to you.
TYPES OF TEA BAGGERS
On the current trajectory (and assuming that no untoward events change the calculus before November), Barack Obama seems well on his way to winning a second term in the White House. Of the reasons for this prediction, three stand out: teapublicans, tea baggers and still more teapublicans.
With uncanny precision, the teapublican party and its membership, abetted by the tea baggers and powerful negative public opinion that holds Congress in virtual contempt, have formed not one but multiple circular firing squads. "Ready, aim, fire" not "ready, fire, aim" is the order of the day!
When conservatism was riding high during the Reagan era, Ronnie himself decreed that no member of the movement should speak ill of another [GOP 11th commandment]. Presumably, he would be appalled by the current conservative propensity for circular firing squads.
It’s truly a sign of a party in crisis when the true-believers – panicked by the prospect of Republican defeat, yet determined not to acknowledge reality - commence to shooting their own pessimistic messengers. Purity tests are being administered, and scorn is being heaped on those who flunk. Indeed, any conservative who dares to question the well-documented ineptitude of the current candidates, or the lame duck president’s [G.W. Bush] horrific track record, is peremptorily dismissed as “pathetically opportunistic”.
Anyone who defies the groupthink of the bunker is risking retribution, although it should be noted that this situation is not entirely new. Back in 2005, Bruce Bartlett, a teapublican commentator and former Reagan official, wrote a book entitled Betrayal, which contended that President Bush was bankrupting America and betraying the Reagan legacy. On the eve of publication, Bartlett was a senior fellow at a conservative Texas think tank. But by time Betrayal went on sale, Bartlett was a former senior fellow…having been summarily dismissed.
This circular firing squad is really not surprising to those of us watching the field of advanced Wingnutology. But when a political party has sold it's followers a phony ideology based on radicalism - and the politics of grievances, what more can this group of fruitcakes do but attack each other?
If the teapublican party isn’t having a collective nervous breakdown about the impending November election, it’s doing a pretty good imitation. The level of finger-pointing within the conservative movement is getting uglier by the moment.
The heat of the moment is melting away the niceties that bind together the members of this radical political party.
Even in death Andrew Breitbart remains the pimple on the ass of society. Ole Breitbart...as pathetically hyperbolic and insignificant in death as he was in life.
Breitbart’s fearless heirs have unleashed the BREITBARTOCALYPSE! Barack Hussein Obama can only cower in terror. The earth-shattering scoop that will blow this baby wide open has now be revealed
Before his death, Andrew Breitbart had been promising a true BOMBSHELL revelation about Barack Obama, a stunner that would finally put an end to Obama’s reign of terror.
Apparently the tape that Andrew Breitbart was talking about before his death, which has now been released, shows Barack Obama as a law student embracing Professor Derrick Bell. On the Breitbart site, they are saying that "this video is a bombshell showing that Barack Obama not only associated with radicals, he was their advocate."
I have to tell you readers, before the video's release I was expecting earth shattering evidence that POTUS was a major drug runner, mass murderer, or better yet someone whom was living a total lie, but nothing, all the hyperbole for hugging a radical black professor.
[ref above video] Hold......... wait for it, its' coming, just hold............Is that it? WTF, you have to be kidding me Breitbart.com! Did I miss it? What part of that was the bombshell, because my staff I certainly missed it.!
Breitbart's promised video of Barack Obama's college days at Harvard University which was released last night in full on Sean Hannity's Faux News show —and unlike the dead conservative provocateur's other video hits, this one appears to be a huge DUD! Seriously!
Pollack justifying the content of video, becasue even he knows there is nothing to it.
Jay Thomas, a Sirius radio host jumped into the fray while on CNN asking Breitbart stooge Joel Pollak:
"Can I say something as a white person?" Thomas asked Pollak. "What are you frightened of? Are you frightened that some black people are going to do something to you? ... What do you think Barack Obama's going to do? Is there a secret black movement that's going to start killing white people?"
Upon the release of the video journalists took to Twitter to poke fun at the controversy. "Breitbart's CPAC speech = Lana Del Ray's 'Video Games' video," Slate's Dave Weigel wrote on Twitter. "Actual Obama tape = Lana Del Ray on 'SNL.'"
On CNN, Pollak promised more footage and more bombshells from Breitbart's archives:
"This is the beginning of a vetting process that begins with Andrew Breitbart's probe into Barack Obama's time in Chicago and will continue," he said.
Pollak is supposed to be an educated law grad (Harvard no less), does he understand what "vetting means" - if this video is a thorough and diligent review of POTUS, then Pollak needs a refund for tuition paid, and should return his degree! I have often said those at Breitbart.com are a very unlettered group, this only substantiates the theory.
Bombshell", yes, this is proof positive that even back in law school POTUS was showing all the signs of becoming exactly the kind of leader that we see in him everyday!
In the spirit of the Breitbart [i.e. spreading falsehoods]:
BREAKING: "POTUS had Breitbart killed - because Andrew was to expose POTUS for hugging a professor." Even though it's not true spread the word I am sure ole Andy would enjoy this conspiracy theory. Only in tea bagger land readers, only in tea bagger land!
Just because the lead buffoon is dead - don't expect the galactally stupid to end the mission.
Rush (the band) asks Rush (the human swine) to stop using their music.
Via a Bob Cesca’s Awesome Blog! Go! exclusive, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neal Peart of Rush have asked Rush Limbaugh to stop using their magnificent music on his Hate Show:
Yesterday Anthem Entertainment and Rush (the band) spoke about Rush Limbaugh’s airing of its music on his show, and today we where informed that the legendary Canadian rock group has formally demanded that the Rush Limbaugh Program stop using its music on the air.
For years now, Rush Limbaugh has been playing Rush music as bumpers out of his commercial breaks, including the tracks “Bravado” and “The Spirit of Radio”. In fact, when Limbaugh attacked Sandra Fluke and remarked about seeing sex tapes of Fluke in exchange for birth control pills, Limbaugh was playing the popular Rush track “The Spirit of Radio” under his rant.
Thankfully, that ends today.
Here’s an excerpt from the letter (pdf) their lawyer sent the excremental talk show host:
The use of Rush’s music in this way is an infringement of Rush’s copyrights and trademarks. The public performance of Rush’s music is not licensed for political purposes and any such use is in breach of public performance licenses and constitutes copyright infringement. There are civil and criminal remedies for copyright infringement, including statutory damages and fines. [...]In addition, the use of Rush’s music in this manner implies an endorsement of the views expressed and products advertised on the show, and is in breach of not only copyright and trademark rights, but also, of section 51 of the New York Civil Rights Law.
Accordingly, we hereby demand that you immediately stop all use of Rush’s music and confirm that you will do so.
At least 45 advertisers have reportedly dropped their ads from Rush Limbaugh's radio show in the wake of his misogynistic attacks on Sandra Fluke.
Rush Limbaugh has been saying outrageous things for a long time and for a long time he has not been held accountable, this means society is partly the blame for this monster. If a man is allowed to act uncivilized in a land of laws and regulation, he therefore believes he has no one to answer too (but himself).
Rush has no fear of repercussion or consequences. NONE. That makes him very dangerous considering he has a big following. The fact of the matter is rich white people pay Rush Limbaugh to say what he says. Rush is only saying what they want to say, but are unable to do so in public. This is why Rush is not held accountable; despite the fact his words are offensive, incendiary and hateful.
Dating for adulterers:
While most advertisers are pulling out quickly on the "drugster", one is willing to join the fray, enter Ashley Madison a website that pairs wannabe adulterers. Is there a more perfect sponsor for the man who has been married four times, a man who has “so much sex” that he was detained for having illegally obtained Viagra?
Since calling Sandra Fluke, a women’s rights activist, a “slut” and a “prostitute” - Limbaugh has felt a backlash like never before. At current count, over 40 advertisers have jumped ship from his show, despite his anything-but-heartfelt apology in which he blamed liberals for his actions.
Rush claims that losing 40 plus advertisers is like:
“Twenty-eight sponsors out of 18,000? That’s like losing a couple of French fries in the container when it’s delivered to you at the drive-thru. You don’t even notice it.”
The "drugster' suffers from diarrhea of mouth and constipation of the brain, and it's time for the ponderous porcine to remove his lard ass from the microphone!
THIRTY TWO sponsors have now bailed on the Drugster.
The Misogynist Limbaugh:
Rush Limbaugh earned the eternal enmity of feminists when, years ago, he coined the phrase 'Feminazis' to describe today's' liberated feminists. Rush has been proven, once again, to be ahead of his time. When reviewing the state of feminism today, one can only marvel at his prescience.
Why do Christian conservatives refer to feminists as "Feminazis? Because they are afraid of anything that threatens the status quo. They think things should stay the way they have "always" been, forever and ever amen.
One problem with that kind of thinking is that change is inevitable and you had better adapt than try to resist it.
If there is one thing that Rush Limbaugh knows how to do well, it’s get attention. And he’s at his best at doing that when he’s making crude remarks about women, blacks - well just about everything non-tea bagger.
Limbaugh once refused to take calls from females unless they submitted their photos to him first, so he could determine they weren’t ugly “feminazis.”
As the saying goes, “Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.”
Feminazi is a term popularized by Limbaugh. Feminazi is a portmanteau of the nouns feminist and Nazi. The term is used pejoratively by some U.S. conservatives to criticize feminists that they perceive as extreme. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the term describes "an extreme or militant feminist".
In a 1996 interview, Gloria Steinem characterized Limbaugh's use of the term “feminazi” as ironic since feminists and other political dissenters were among the victims of Nazi concentration camps and Nazi work camps:
Limbaugh often defends his use of the term: "I haven't used that term on this program in awhile. But it still gets to 'em, doesn't it? And you know why? Because it's right. Because it's accurate."
Contact Rush Limbaugh’s sponsors on their websites. Let them know that you will not patronize any business that makes his misogynist, intolerant radio rants possible!
Limbaugh's offensive jargon has always been a major problem, and it has huge implications for the state of women’s rights. In a society where the term “feminazi” is used refer to women fighting for the rights to their body, no wonder a country that advocates freedom and equality is having challenges in moving past the 1800's.
Miranda Norman (who is a VoteVets.org Senior Advisor), Kayla Williams, and Robin Eckstein, all Iraq War Veterans, and Katherine Scheirman, former chief of medical operations for the U.S. Air Forces in Europe at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany said the following:
"Rush Limbaugh has a freedom of speech and can say what he wants, but in light of his horribly misogynistic comments, American Forces Radio should no longer give him a platform. Our entire military depends on troops respecting each other - women and men. There simply can be no place on military airwaves for sentiments that would undermine that respect. When many of our female troops use birth control, for Limbaugh to say they are "sluts" and "prostitutes" is beyond the pale. It isn't just disrespectful to our women serving our country, but it's language that goes against everything that makes our military work. Again, we swore to uphold our Constitution, including the freedom of speech, and would not take that away from anyone - even Limbaugh. But that does not mean AFN should broadcast him. In fact, it shouldn't."
On Monday, Pentagon press secretary George Little said the Defense Department had no plans to stop broadcasting Rush Limbaugh's show to service members on the American Forces Network. Limbaugh's show is part of the Defense Department's policy to broadcast shows that "reflect a wide range" of opinion, Little said.Little said he had "not heard" of any review of whether Limbaugh's show remains suitable for broadcast after the controversy surrounding Limbaugh. Little also said he could not immediately say what the standards are for whether certain broadcasts are considered suitable by the Defense Department.
Perhaps a prominent veteran, say like Sen. John McCain, would be able to push a review of what is suitable for broadcast to our nation's troop, since he'scondemned Limbaugh's remarks, saying:
He’s an entertainer. But his remarks are totally unacceptable, totally and completely unacceptable. And there’s no place for it.
There certainly isn't a place for it on taxpayer-funded airways going out to America's fighting men and women. Since we probably can't count on McCain to send that message to AFN, let's do it ourselves.
Rush Limbaugh catapulted himself to the top of hate radio this week by saying that a law student was a “slut” and a “prostitute” for claiming that law students could often not pay for their own birth control. This took up much time an energy on both sides, prompting even a movement for sponsors to boycott Limbaugh’s show over the comments. Yesterday Limbaugh released a statement on his website noting that, while absurdity is a tool he often picks out of the shed, he “sincerely apologizes” for what he describes as “insulting word choices.”
For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke. I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone’s bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level. My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.
Limbaugh slammed Fluke all week long, the day after calling her these putrid names he came back the very next day justifying his nasty attack, it was only after the majority of his advertisers called him on it, did he back track. Unacceptable!
I am asking my 21 million readers to not call for an apology from this POS, but to ask that this ponderous porcine be removed from the airwaves! Enough is enough!
.......And they say you don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off an 'ole Lone Ranger
And you don't call respectable females "prostitutes" and "sluts" on National radio!
