10 Reasons Why This White Supremacist Is Not POTUS Material

Our Quest has always been to enlighten the masses with regards to radical ideology, especially when it comes to teapublicans. This flock is certainly detached from the mother ship when it comes to politics circa 2012.

This daffy old coot [Ron Paul's] is proof that the mother ships is lost. The crank side of this idiot is certainly not appealing - nor are his racial views. Even after Paul abandoned the crude race-baiting of his 1990s newsletters, he continued to engage in elaborate apologetics for the Confederate side of the Civil War.

Ron Paul's admirers see him as a man of integrity. They are tragically mistaken about that. Despite his too-dotty-to-lie persona, Ron Paul is not in fact on the level. In evading responsibility for his newsletters, Paul has replied "I don't know" and "I don't remember" to queries whose answers he must know and surely remembers. The back story of the newsletters shows a man who, sufficiently saturated in racism and extremism himself, was ready to exploit the even greater racism and extremism of others for financial gain. Ron Paul is the Max Bialystock of monetary cranks -- and this latest presidential campaign represents the summit of his bunco artist career, his very own "Springtime for Hitler."

There are so many reasons why I could never, would never, support Ron Paul. Yes Virginia, Ron Paul is an idiot, an idiot epic proportions! Ron Paul has built an entire political career off of pandering to the paranoid and hate filled when he thinks no one is looking, as his numerous appearances on the Alex Jones show will attest.

Ten Reasons why Ron Paul isnt POTUS:

Ron Paul does not value equal rights for minorities. Ron Paul has sponsored legislation that would repeal affirmative action, keep the IRS from investigating private schools who may have used race as a factor in denying entrance, thus losing their tax exempt status, would limit the scope of Brown versus Board of Education, and would deny citizenship for those born in the US if their parents are not citizens. Here are links to these bills: H.R.3863, H.R.5909, H.J.RES.46, and H.J.RES.42.

Ron Paul would deny women control of their bodies and reproductive rights.Ron Paul makes it very clear that one of his aims is to repeal Roe v. Wade. He has also co sponsored 4 separate bills to “To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception.” This, of course, goes against current medical and scientific information as well as our existing laws and precedents. Please see these links: H.R.2597 and H.R.392

Ron Paul would be disastrous for the working class. He supports abolishing the Federal minimum wage, has twice introduced legislation to repeal OSHA, or the Occupational Safety and Health Act and would deal devastating blows to Social Security including repealing the act that makes it mandatory for employees of nonprofits, to make “coverage completely optional for both present and future workers”, and would “freeze benefit levels”. He has also twice sponsored legislation seeking to repeal the Davis-Bacon Act and the Copeland Act which among other things provide that contractors for the federal government must provide the prevailing wage and prohibits corporate “kick backs.” Here are the related legislative links: H.R.2030, H.R.4604, H.R.736, and H.R.2720

Ron Paul’s tax plan is unfair to lower earners and would greatly benefit those with the highest incomes. He has repeatedly submitted amendments to the tax code that would get rid of the estate and gift taxes, tax all earners at 10%, disallow income tax credits to individuals who are not corporations, repeal the elderly tax credit, child care credit, earned income credit, and other common credits for working class citizens. Please see this link for more information: H.R.05484 Summary

Ron Paul’s policies would cause irreparable damage to our already strained environment. Among other travesties he supports off shore drilling, building more oil refineries, mining on federal lands, no taxes on the production of fuel, and would stop conservation efforts that could be a “Federal obstacle” to building and maintaining refineries. He has also sought to amend the Clean Air Act, repeal the Soil and Water Conservation Act of 1977, and to amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to “restrict the jurisdiction of the United States over the discharge of dredged or fill material to discharges into waters”. To see for yourself the possible extent of the damage to the environment that would happen under a Paul administration please follow these links: H.R.2504, H.R.7079, H.R.7245, H.R.2415, H.R.393, H.R.4639, H.R.5293, and H.R.6936

A Ron Paul administration would continue to proliferate the negative image of the US among other nations. Ron Paul supports withdrawing the US from the UN, when that has not happened he has fought to at least have the US withdrawn from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. He has introduced legislation to keep the US from giving any funds to the UN. He also submitted that the US funds should not be used in any UN peacekeeping mission or any UN program at all. He has sponsored a bill calling for us to “terminate all participation by the United States in the United Nations, and to remove all privileges, exemptions, and immunities of the United Nations.”Ron Paul twice supported stopping the destruction of intercontinental ballistic missile silos in the United States. He also would continue with Bush’s plan of ignoring international laws by maintaining an insistence that the International Criminal Court does not apply to the US, despite President Clinton’s signature on the original treaty. The International Criminal Court is used for, among other things, prosecution of war crimes. Please see the following links: H.R.3891, H.AMDT.191, H.AMDT.190, H.R.3769, H.R.1665, H.CON.RES.23, and H.R.1154

Ron Paul discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation and would not provide equal rights and protections to glbt citizens. This is an issue that Paul sort of dances around. He has been praised for stating that the federal government should not regulate who a person marries. This has been construed by some to mean that he is somewhat open to the idea of same sex marriage, he is not. Paul was an original co sponsor of the Marriage Protection Act in the House in 2004. Among other things this discriminatory piece of legislation placed a prohibition on the recognition of a same sex marriage across state borders. He said in 2004 that if he was in the Texas legislature he would not allow judges to come up with “new definitions” of marriage. Paul is a very religious conservative and though he is careful with his words his record shows that he is not a supporter of same sex marriage. In 1980 he introduced a particularly bigoted bill entitled “A bill to strengthen the American family and promote the virtues of family life.” or H.R.7955 A direct quote from the legislation “Prohibits the expenditure of Federal funds to any organization which presents male or female homosexuality as an acceptable alternative life style or which suggest that it can be an acceptable life style.” shows that he is unequivocally opposed to lifestyles other than heterosexual.

Ron Paul has an unnatural obsession with guns. One of Paul’s loudest gripes is that the second amendment of the constitution is being eroded. In fact, he believes that September 11 would not have happened if that wasn’t true. He advocates for there to be no restrictions on personal ownership of semi-automatic weaponry or large capacity ammunition feeding devices, would repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act (because we all know our schools are just missing more guns), wants guns to be allowed in our National Parks, and repeal the Gun Control Act of 1968. Now, I’m pretty damn certain that when the Constitution was written our founding fathers never intended for people to be walking around the streets with AK47′s and “large capacity ammunition feeding devices.” (That just sounds scary.) Throughout the years our Constitution has been amended and is indeed a living document needing changes to stay relevant in our society. Paul has no problem changing the Constitution when it fits his needs, such as no longer allowing those born in the US to be citizens if their parents are not. On the gun issue though he is no holds barred. I know he’s from Texas but really, common sense tells us that the amendments he is seeking to repeal have their place. In fact, the gun control act was put into place after the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., and Robert Kennedy. H.R.2424, H.R.1897, H.R.1096, H.R.407, H.R.1147, and H.R.3892.

Ron Paul would butcher our already sad educational system. The fact is that Ron Paul wants to privatize everything and that includes education. Where we run into problems is that it has been shown (think our current health care system) that this doesn’t work so well in practice. Ron Paul has introduced legislation that would keep the Federal Government “from planning, developing, implementing, or administering any national teacher test or method of certification and from withholding funds from States or local educational agencies that fail to adopt a specific method of teacher certification.” In a separate piece of legislation he seeks to “prohibit the payment of Federal Education assistance in States which require the licensing or certification of private schools or private school teachers.” So basically the federal government can’t regulate teaching credentials and if states opt to require them for private schools they get no aid. That sounds like a marvelous idea teachers with no certification teaching in private schools that are allowed to discriminate on the basis of race. He is certainly moving forward with these proposals!Remember his “bill to strengthen the American family and promote the virtues of family life.” or H.R.7955? Guess what? He basically advocates for segregation in schools once again. It “Forbids any court of the United States from requiring the attendance at a particular school of any student because of race, color, creed, or sex.” Without thinking about this statement it doesn’t sound bad at all. But remember, when desegregating schools that this is done by having children go to different schools, often after a court decision as in Brown Vs. Board of Education. If this were a bill that passed, schools would no longer be compelled to comply and the schools would go back to segregation based on their locations. Ron Paul is really starting to look like a pretty bigoted guy don’t you think?

Ron Paul is opposed to the separation of church and state. This reason is probably behind every other thing that I disagree with in regards to Paul’s positions. Ron Paul is among those who believes that there is a war on religion, he stated “Through perverse court decisions and years of cultural indoctrination, the elitist, secular Left has managed to convince many in our nation that religion must be driven from public view.” ( Koyaanisqatsi Blog: Wrong Paul Why I Do Not Want Ron Paul to be My President ) Though he talks a good talk, at times, Ron Paul can’t get away from his far right, conservative views. He would support “alternative views” to evolution taught in public schools (i.e. Intelligent Design.) We’ve already taken a look at his “bill to strengthen the American family and promote the virtues of family life.” or H.R.7955 Besides hating the gays he takes a very religious stance on many other things. He is attempting to force his beliefs on the rest of America, exactly what he would do as president.

Ron Paul is full of rhetoric, and he is pretty much like every other teapublican, just more insidious.

At the end of the day Ron Paul’s many fawning sycophants like to pretend that his problems are that he is despised by the Establishment because he’s too pure in his love for the Constitution. The reality is that Ron Paul hasn’t been given nearly the shunning he deserves for his paranoid insanity or his coddling of racism throughout his entire career. Frankly, I think Ron Paul’s retirement at the end of this campaign will be the best thing to happen to politics in decades.

Eye Of Newt Off Virginia Ballot

Newt Gingrich compares his failure to make the Virginia ballot to the Pearl Harbor attack.

This past weekend, the Republican Party of Virginia announced on Twitter that “Newt Gingrich did not submit required 10k signatures and has not qualified for the VA primary.” Reeling from their own ineptness, the Gingrich campaign quickly announced that it would “pursue an aggressive write-in campaign.” But as we noted yesterday, Virginia laws prohibit such a write-in campaign.

The New York Times assessed that Gingrich’s failure could “shake the confidence of voters.” The National Review called both Gingrich and Rick Perry “idiotic.” On Fox, Karl Rove said flatly, “This is a problem — if you’re the front runner and you can’t organize your campaign so you can meet those filing deadlines. It’s elemental. It’s the fundamental thing you do.”

By late last night, the Gingrich campaign was trying desperately reassure the public that it could recover. Campaign director Michael Krull went on Facebook to convey that Newt told him “this is not catastrophic — we will continue to learn and grow.” Then, in the very next paragraph, Krull employed a “catastrophic” metaphor to suggest the campaign is now recovering from a calamity:

Newt and I agreed that the analogy is December 1941: We have experienced an unexpected set-back, but we will re-group and re-focus with increased determination, commitment and positive action. Throughout the next months there will be ups and downs; there will be successes and failures; there will be easy victories and difficult days – but in the end we will stand victorious.
Gingrich, who fashions himself as an historian, frequently employs Peal Harbor analogies and anecdotes. In fact, he has co-authored an historical fiction book about Pearl Harbor, which literary critics blasted for its shoddy quality.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Happy Birthday Jesus Christ

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,  "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

TEAPUBLICANS CAVE

This "Tea Party", these teabaggers, radical teapublicans are like a science project gone horrible wrong. They are Dr. Frankenstein's Monster gone awry, the Petri dish mold that becomes the worst airborne disease of our time.

For three days, House Republicans refused to back a compromise that would prevent payroll taxes from rising on January 1, hitting the pay checks of 160 million American workers.

Speaker John Boehner, the Republican leader, rejected a deal passed overwhelmingly by the Senate because it only extended tax cuts for two months rather than a full year.

But under withering fire from the White House and a growing chorus of discontent within his own party, Mr Boehner caved in tonight and agreed to pass the short-term bill. Quoting Johnny:

"It may not have been politically the smartest thing in the world but our members waged a good fight," he said when asked whether he regretted his initial opposition to the deal.
For heavens sake teabaggers, even Karl Rove, John McCain, and Mitch McConnell where saying you screwed up!

After the announcement that Boehner had backed down he said: "This is the right thing to do to strengthen our families, grow our economy, and create new jobs. This is real money that will make a real difference in people’s lives".

John Boehner Wins RINO Award

Look, readers, we appear to have finally figured out what it takes to get House teapublicans to agree on something: Having every other person on the planet scream at them for several days!

Aren't you going to miss this irritating shallow go-nowhere procedural psychobabble nonsense from the teabaggers during the holidays?

The teapublicans mission to destroy the POTUS and the economy has failed this round.

In stead of "kicking the can down the road", lets kick John Boehner's keyster down the road. Hopefully we have seen the last of this useful idiot as speaker of our house! Hopefully this is the nail in Johnny's political coffin.

Let this message resound loud and clear teabaggers, America will no longer tolerate your bullshit, your "high stakes" poker, your "take it or leave it" mentality, and your choke and puke radical right wing hold the poor at bay hostage any longer!

Last mid-term elections we were inundated with freshman teabaggers. These same teapublcians are the ones holding our country hostage, and the very ones forcing Ronnie Reagan (RINO) republicans to cowl behind closed doors. Consider yourselves on notice - America is tired of your crap, and rest assure that this next election cycle you too shall be kicked down the road like your proverbial can! Quoting Rep. Renee L. Ellmers (R-N.C.):
“We were elected for a reason,” said after a Republican huddle in a Capitol basement meeting room Monday night. “That was because the American people were tired of business as usual.”
Well Renee guess what, your fifteen minutes of fame are up. Americans have spoken loudly this round, and you, Johnny and the rest of your radical clan have been served notice! Enough is enough.

Political Grandstanding 201

BREAKING NEWS:

Teapublicans Now Agree to Tax Cuts

Just like the political grandstanding during the debt ceiling "negotiations" the teabaggers/teapublicans/GOP held out for as long as possible to hurt as many people as possible - they'll hold hostage a working American's $50.00 per week tax reduction to protect a millionaire's $600,000 tax cut - which costs our treasury 12 million dollars an hour. Please join me in saying, screw you, teabaggers/teapublicans/GOP! Your horrendous reign of terror over the American people will soon be over! C'mon Nov 2012!

Merry Christmas From The Teapublicans

Speaker cuts off C-SPAN cameras when Dems attempt to bring vote on payroll tax cut.

John Boehner Cutting off CSPAN TV

During a quick pro-forma session of the House yesterday morning, Republicans rebuffed a Democratic attempt to force an up-or-down vote on the Senate-passed payroll tax holiday extension, which Republicans have thus far refused to allow. Rep. Michael Fitzpatrick (R-PA), who was serving as the speaker pro-temp, ignored shouts of “Mr. Speaker!” from Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) and Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), quickly adjourning the House.

Hoyer continued talking undeterred, saying, “You’re walking away, just as so many Republicans have walked away from middle-class taxpayers [and] the unemployed.” “We regret, Mr. Speaker, that you have walked off the platform without addressing this issue of critical importance to this country,” Hoyer added.

Moments later, the mic appeared to cut out. A few seconds after that, the video feed switched away from the House floor to a still image of the Capitol Dome. It appears someone in House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) office cut the feed, as C-SPAN tweeted afterwards: “C-SPAN has no control over the U.S. House TV cameras – the Speaker of the House does.”

With so much at stake - (160 million tax payers to get an increase in payroll taxes) this is not the time for Boehner and his radical band of banshees to be playing high stakes poker.

House Republicans may have taken their war on the middle class one step too far with their unfathomable opposition to extending the Obama payroll tax cut. And for a group that usually has a concise message, they’re flailing at their explanations.

For the last three years, the Republicans’ message has been clear and concise — tax cuts will solve all of our problems. Deficit? Cut taxes. Recession? Cut taxes. War expenses? Cut taxes. They support tax cuts for the wealthy, tax cuts for corporations (they’re people too!) tax cuts for Big Oil. They support tax cuts for basically anything.

Except, apparently, middle-class families. If the House Republicans have their way, taxes will go up for 160 million Americans on Jan. 1. That’s a serious lump of coal for Americans struggling to find work and make ends meet.

Merry Christmas from the teabaggers

One House Republican referred to the political brinksmanship as “high-stakes poker.” That’s a great metaphor if not for the fact the House Republicans are playing their games with our money. If only we all could play such high-stakes games with other people’s money.

The Democrats’ message is clear: We won’t raise taxes on 160 million Americans when they can least afford it. They know it’s a bad idea to punish the American people with a tax increase for Christmas to pay for Washington’s dysfunction.

The GOP message is also clear: tax cuts for every special interest, but not for the American people. When working Americans unwrap their first pay stubs for 2012 and find they’re paying higher taxes, that’ll be a tough message to sell.

Over and over readers we send you these messages, which depicts a far right radical regime - hoping that you see the picture crystal clear. With a country so strapped in every aspect of its functionality, this is not the time for radical teapublican gamesmanship, nor is it a time for far right teabagging extremism.

We write these blogs so that you may get as angry as we do over this mentality of screw the poor, the working poor, and the middle class. The next step is up to you readers, your voice, your letters, and your vote are the only tools that can turn this inherent ideology to where it belongs. For if you fail to make your voice heard loud and clear, then you deserve all the misery laid upon you via the far right extreme machine.

Chris Matthews once compared the far right wing of the Republican Party to the Khmer Rouge, the genocidal Cambodian communist party led by Pol Pot.

I tend agree with Chris Mathews analogy on the extreme regime - Mathews is host of MSNBC' Hardball whom says:
"The Republican Party is under assault from its far right," Matthews said. "I don't think I can remember either party being under assault by its extremes. I mean, there seems to be a new sort of purity test that unless you're far right, you're not a Republican, and this sort of tea party testing they're doing now."

Matthews called the party's pull from the far right "frightening" in comparing it to the Cambodian regime.

"So what's going on out there in the Republican Party is kind of frightening," he said, "almost Cambodia reeducation camp going on in that party, where they're going around to people, sort of switching their minds around saying, 'If you're not far right, you're not right enough.' And I think that it's really - there's going to be a lot of extreme language on the Republican side. And maybe, it will be a circular firing squad when this is all over."

I guess that about says it all! While it's an extreme depiction, its the reality of teapublican ideology circa 2012.

America has to work for everybody, not just the nitwits of the radical right.

Clean Up Isle Four

Iowa vet calls Newt Gingrich a ‘F**cking A**hole’ during grocery store appearance.

With the Iowa caucus just two weeks away, tensions are running high. During a campaign appearance at a grocery store yesterday, on-again, off-again GOP frontrunner Newt Gingrich was approached by a seemingly innocuous supporter, who instead turned out to be something of a pretty vocal critic. The grinning man got Gingrich’s attention with “You know something?” before following with “you’re a f*cking a**hole.”

It’s safe to say that Gingrich brings out the passionate side of voters, let alone Iowans. During a visit to the Hawkeye State back in May, the former House Speaker was similarly approached by an angry Iowa voter, who told Gingrich that he was “an embarrassment to our party.

In both instances Mr. Gingrich handled the confrontation with aplomb, in the most recent instance responding to his vocal critic with a familiar playground retort of “it’s a free country.” It’s unclear if Gingrich was referring to the man’s right to free speech, or his own right to be a f**king a**hole.

Fortunately for the U.S. viewing public, a camera situated just behind Gingrich’s sizable cranium captured the entire exchange, which CNN promptly broadcast on The Situation Room yesterday in a report filed by Jim Acosta that focused on Gingrich’s recent challenges in Iowa. In the event that any viewers missed the opening clip, Wolf Blitzer went back to Acosta, asking him to repeat what the angry vet had said. Watching Acosta stumble with an appropriate explanation is almost as entertaining as the source material.

See it here:

It's something about teapublicans that brings out the worst in Americans. Newt just has a better knack at it. It's time they learn that this ("its my way or the highway") mentality will not be tolerated. The ideology of "add that one extra straw to break the middle classes back" has to stop. The comprehension that allowing the rich to get richer on the heels of the worker poor is wrong, and this vet got it right. But this radical weltanschauung has to be classified for what it is. A retired senator called it correctly this morning on MSNBC's Jansing and Co.

Alan Cranston called the latest tactics of the teapublicans "bullshit". This is the sentiment of 70% of Americans.

Until John Boehner can control his radical far rightwing-nuts, until he un-tucks his testis from his buttocks - Americans can only expect status quo from the extreme far right -
ir-regaurdless of whether it's a POTUS candidate or speaker of the house.

Eye-of Newt will run his course, and he too shall fade exponentially quicker than sack of potatoes falling from the Empire State Building. What a wonderful resounding thud that shall be!

BREAKING NEWS

HOUSE TEAPUBLICANS HOLD AMERICA AT BAY ONCE AGAIN!

House teapublicans walk away from bipartisan compromise on payroll tax cut, jobless benefits.

Moments ago, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives voted 229-193 to walk away from a bipartisan compromise that would have extended for two months both the payroll tax cut for 160 million working Americans and long-term unemployment benefits for millions of jobless Americans, as well as stopped automatic cuts to Medicare reimbursement rates for doctors that are scheduled for Jan. 1, 2012. Seven teapublicans joined every Democrat in opposing the motion to abandon the Senate’s compromise plan and instead move to a House-Senate conference committee.

Teabaggers vote to hold America hostage yet again

A straight up-or-down vote on the Senate compromise was originally scheduled for last night, but teapublican leaders were forced to abandon the vote after it became clear that the compromise plan, which passed the Senate 89-10 on Saturday, might pass with the overwhelming majority of Democrats and some teapublicans voting in favor. Instead, the House Republican leadership, under pressure from the Tea Party, used a procedural maneuver to avoid an up-or-down vote on the bipartisan deal.

When do you as readers say enough is enough with radical teapublicans holding your country hostage? This should be your clear message as to what to do 11 months from now. For if not - then you certainly deserve the misery laid upon you!

Pro-Adultery Website Endorses Gingrich

A website that promotes adultery has endorsed Newt Gingrich for president, and even erected a giant billboard in Pennsylvania to announce it. Next to a picture of Gingrich making a “shh” gesture, the billboard reads: Faithful Republican, Unfaithful Husband.”

Ashleymadison.com, a dating website for people looking to cheat on their spouses, welcomes visitors with the tag line, “Life is short, Have an affair.” Gingrich has admitted to cheating on his wives, and Noel Biderman, the founder of the cheaters website explained, “Now that Newt is the leading contender in the race for the GOP nomination, we felt compelled to make a point to illustrate how times have changed when a serial divorcee/adulterer is capturing the hearts of the American people.” Teapublicans, a party of little moral fiber.

Newt Keeps Proving He's Not POTUS Material

Newt Gingrich would send U.S. Marshals to arrest ‘activist’ judges.

Continuing his crusade against the courts, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich railed against judges “imposing secularism” on the country on this morning’s Face The Nation. Arguing that “activist judges” who make disagreeable decisions should be held accountable before Congress, he told Bob Schieffer that he would send a U.S. Marshal or Capitol Police officer to arrest judges if that’s what it took to reign them in, and then encourage impeachment:

SCHIEFFER: One of the things you say is that if you don’t like what a court has done, that Congress should subpoena the judge and bring him before Congress and hold a Congressional hearing… how would you enforce that? Would you send the Capitol Police down to arrest him?

GINGRICH: Sure. If you had to. Or you’d instruct the Justice Department to send a U.S. Marshal.

BUSHNESIA...DO YOU SUFFER FROM IT?

Bushnesia - Like amnesia, but this mental disorder only seems to effect those of the republcian persuasion.

Many people developed this disorder late in 2008, early 2009 and it continues to spread today. Most if not all of the people with this affliction are republicans, teapublicans, teabaggers, righties and bush supporters. They complain about the huge national debt and the economic disaster that hit during the Bush Administration and then they blame President Obama for the bad effects or after birth of Bush's heinous deeds.

The tea party was founded by people who were upset about out of control government and the huge national debt, however due to bushnesia, they misdirected their anger at Obama rather than the true source of the problem: George W. Bush and pro-rich Republicans!

Republicans have every right, of course, to admit their error and work to undo the deficit they helped create. But instead, today’s GOP leaders act as if the Bush years are irrelevant to America’s debt problem, and they largely defend the tax cuts and wartime spending that helped cause it, lets also not forget Freddie, Fannie, and Wall Street. It’s the same ideological double flip the GOP did in the Gingrich years, when Washington Republicans reinvented themselves as deficit hawks and pretended the Reagan administration had never happened.
Bushnesiac - A republican, , teapublican, teabagger, rightie who is very quick to blame all of the United State's current economic, social, health care, international standing, and military problems on President Barack Obama, conveniently forgetting the past  years of failed policies that brought us to this point.
So I was wondering this morning, when someone would recognize this condition called Bushnesia or Bushnesiac?

This Bushnesia epidemic is spreading faster than plague did in Stephen King's "The Stand". "Captain Trips' or "Project Blue" spread throughout America in 19 days. You shall also find many Randall Flagg, types in the republican tea bag arena, (also known as "the Dark Man" or "the Walkin’ Dude", whom is the main antagonist of the novel—more (or less) than a man, he is the embodiment of evil, an antichrist-like being whose goal is destruction and death.) I can name many Randall Flaggs in this new teapublican regime.

Take Bill Looman III of the last link for instance. Mr. Looman "wants to take his country back - via militias, "the oath keepers" and PAST (Patriots Against Socialist Takover). Mr. Looman is a prime example of a brain dead human suffering from Bushnesia. (here is a little more on this most dangerous tea bagger). God forbid this idiot get out from under a rock and look at the facts on his beloved George W. Bush.

Its often easy to find a Bushnesiac on facebook, just look for the person posting in all caps with horrific spelling and grammatical errors. Their are several groups out there willing to try to eradicate this God awful disease. Americans Against the Tea Party, 1,000,000 Strong to Help Improve Tea Party Patriots' Spelling and Grammar and finally my favorite I F**ked You ALL, but thanks for blaming it on the black guy. Like any diabolical disease, we can be assured that this one shall not go away anytime soon.

Is Bill Looman a innocent businessman or violent militia member? NFTOS says the latter, but which ever the case this maroon suffers from and is they very epitome of a Bushnesiac.

Like the saying goes "we survived the buffoon (G.W. Bush), you will survive Obama".

Criteria in deciding whether George Bush was a failure or not should include his resume, which includes, disastrous domestic policies, foreign-policy blunders and military setbacks, executive misconduct, crises of credibility and public trust. George Bush however, is a rare bird in presidential history - why? He has FUBARED badly in every one of these key areas.

I am astonished that so many people still support a president who has screwed up so many things. The following is just a short list:
Emergency Management: They completely failed to manage the first large-scale emergency since 9/11. Despite all their big talk and hundreds of billions of dollars spent on homeland security over the past four years, this administration proved itself stunningly incompetent when faced with an actual emergency.
Outed CIA operative Valerie Plame.
Katrina relief: Eleven thousand spanking new mobile homes sinking into the Arkansas mud. Seems no one in the administration knew there were federal and state laws prohibiting trailers in flood zones. Oops. That little mistake cost you $850 million -- and counting.

Medicare Drug Program: This $50 billion white elephant debuted by trampling many of those it was supposed to save. The mess forced states to step in and try to save its own citizens from being killed by the administration's poorly planned and executed attempt to privatize huge hunks of the federal health safety net.

Social Programs: It's easier to get affordable -- even free -- American-style medical care, paid for with American dollars, if you are injured in Iraq, Afghanistan or are victims of a Pakistani earthquake, than if you live and pay taxes in the good old U.S.A. Nearly 50 million Americans can't afford medical insurance. Nevertheless the administration has proposed a budget that will cut $40 billion from domestic social programs, including health care for the working poor. The administration was quick to say that those services will be replaced by its "faith-based" programs.

Presided over the loss of approximately three million American jobs in his first two-and-a-half years in office, the worst record since Herbert Hoover.
Over seen an economy in which the stock market suffered its worst decline in the first two years of any administration since Hoover's.

Taken, in the wake of the terrorist attacks, the greatest worldwide outpouring of goodwill the United States has enjoyed at least since World War II and squandered it by insisting on pursuing a foolish go-it-almost-alone invasion of Iraq, thereby transforming almost universal support for the United States into worldwide condemnation.

Misled (to use the most charitable word and interpretation) the American public about weapons of mass destruction and supposed ties to Al Qaeda in Iraq and so into a war that has plainly (and entirely predictably) made us less secure, caused a boom in the recruitment of terrorists, is killing American military personnel needlessly, and is threatening to suck up all our available military forces and be a bottomless pit for the money of American taxpayers for years to come.

Failed to follow through in Afghanistan, where the Taliban and Al Qaeda are regrouping, once more increasing the threat to our people.

Insulted and ridiculed other nations and international organizations and now has to go, hat in hand, to those nations and organizations begging for their assistance.

Completely miscalculated or failed to plan for the personnel and monetary needs in Iraq after the war, so that he sought and obtained an $87 billion appropriation for Iraq, a sizable chunk of which is going, without competitive bidding to Haliburton, the company formerly headed by his vice president.

Inherited an annual federal budget surplus of $230 billion and transformed it into a $500+ billion deficit in less than three years. This negative turnaround of three-quarters of a trillion dollars is totally without precedent in our history. The ballooning deficit for fiscal 2004 is rapidly approaching twice the dollar size of the previous record deficit, $290 billion, set in 1992, the last year of the administration of President Bush's father and, at almost 5 percent of GDP, is closing in on the percentage record set by Ronald Reagan in 1986.

Cut taxes three times, sharply reducing the burden on the rich, reclassified money obtained through stock ownership as more deserving than money earned through work. The idea that dividend income should not be taxed-what might accurately be termed the unearned income tax credit-can be stated succinctly: "If you had to work for your money, we'll tax it; if you didn't have to work for it, you can keep it all."

Severely curtailed the very American freedoms that our military people are supposed to be fighting to defend. ("The Patriot Act," one historian noted, "is the worst since the Alien and Sedition Acts under John Adams.")

Called upon American armed service people, including Reserve forces, to sacrifice for ever-lengthening tours of duty in a hostile and dangerous environment while he rewards the rich at home with lower taxes and legislative giveaways and gives lucrative no-bid contracts to American corporations linked with the administration.

Given an opportunity to begin to change the consumption-oriented values of the nation after September 11, 2001, when people were prepared to make a sacrifice for the common good, called instead of Americans to 'sacrifice' by going out and buying things.

Proclaimed himself to be a conservative while maintaining that big government should be able to run roughshod over the Bill of Rights, and that the government must have all sorts of secrets from the people, but the people can be allowed no privacy from the government.

Never before have we seen Presidential failure on such a grand scale. Each president, before, that has been considered a failure had at least prevailed in one area of the criteria. Bush, has prevailed in Zero.

I appreciate passion and patriotism, but we're talking about judging the worst President and administration of our lifetime. Just as every president in history has been judged to either be a successful president or a failure.

If you fail to recognize, acknowledge, and or blame George W. Bush for the above issues and your current woes, then you suffer from Bushnesia, and you are a Bushnesiac!

BREAKING NEWS

WISCONSIN GOV SCOTT WALKER TO BE RECALLED

The word has spread that over 550,000 signatures have been gathered to recall Scott Walker! This means the movement is passing its first milestone. Now they must gather more signatures to pad its victory in case some are thrown out by the Secretary of State.

The announcement is supposed to come today (hour and a half away) at noon. Some on the ground are expecting 1,000,000 signatures before the deadline in several weeks.

After Governor Walker's assault on unions, his attack on democracy, and his blatant disregard for the will of the people, a recall effort was all but assured to remove him and all his supporters from Wisconsin government. Hundreds of thousands have poured into the streets and many have occupied the capitol building. Thousands took part in the summer recall and the government was almost flipped.

NFTOS assault on this idiot has been unrelenting and now it appears that this "Koch Whore" will get his due.

It would appear that Walkers delusions the be the next Ronnie Reagan have been derailed and Its a great day for West Communications and NFTOS. And the congregation said.......AMEN

Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you. And we at NFTOS shall be glad to escort you to the door.

Hypocrisy Of A Teapublican

Definition of a teapublican

Since President Obama took the oath of office in January 2009, Teapublicans have reversed their stances on several different policies and beliefs. Here is just a smattering of them.

1. Health Care Mandates - Prior to the passage of the Affordable Care Act by Democrats, Teapublicans widely supported the idea of an individual health care insurance mandate, Newt Gingrich being perhaps the chief supporter. Teapublicans have always preached about how people need to take responsibility for themselves, and now that a law exists that makes people take responsibility, the GOP is rejecting it simply on the grounds that President Obama and the Democrats passed it.

2. The Nuclear START Treaty - Teapublicans shamelessly filibustered the ratification of the Obama START Treaty for quite a period of time and criticized it tremendously and continue to try and find ways to circumvent the treaty today. What Teapublicans conveniently forget is that Ronald Reagan, the man that Teapublicans worship like a God, negotiated the very first START Treaty which was signed by yet another Teapublican, George H. W. Bush in 1991. That treaty expired in 2009 so President Obama negotiated a new one to continue the Reagan legacy. But since President Obama negotiated this treaty, Teapublicans retreated from Reagan’s policy faster than the decade it took to create the START Treaty in the first place.

3. Dream Act - Immigration reform has been touted by Teapublicans for decades now. Reagan granted amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants in the 1980′s. Most recently, Teapublicans worked on immigration reform under the Bush Administration and failed. President Bush and Senator John McCain both supported immigration reform and were willing to cross the aisle to work with Democrats, most notably Edward Kennedy. All of that work and bipartisanship ceased after the 2008 Election. Staunchly opposed to President Obama and anything his administration supports, Teapublicans turned their backs on immigration reform in favor of militarizing the border and laws that violate the civil rights of Hispanics. Obama’s Dream Act would do much that Reagan would approve of, but Teapublicans refuse hear anything of it.

4. TARP - Teapublicans supported TARP when they helped pass it in response to the economic collapse in 2008. President Bush even signed the legislation into law. But since it’s been up to the guiding hands of President Obama to deal with TARP, Teapublicans have since revoked their support and have been highly critical even as they take credit for it when presenting stimulus checks to their local constituents. The fact is, TARP is successful because President Obama oversaw it and Teapublicans hate that fact.

5. Bail Out of Auto Industry - Teapublicans once supported this too but abandoned it once President Obama called for it. The auto industry is a vital manufacturing sector that supports millions of American jobs and Teapublicans WANTED the industry to fail simply because President Obama wanted the bail out. If it had failed, Teapublicans would have blamed President Obama for not supporting the American auto industry. The bail out has been a resounding success with most of the money plus interest paid back to the taxpayers. Mitt Romney has since tried to take credit for the idea because it has been so successful.

6. Israel Going Back To Pre-1967 Borders - Many Presidents have suggested this, even George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. But once President Obama repeated it, Teapublicans immediately denounced the President and threw their support to Israel’s President. This action by Teapublicans is totally unprecedented. It is reprehensible for American politicians to support a foreign leader more than the American President. Imagine if the Teapublican Party had overtly supported Hitler over FDR during World War Two. The only reason Teapublicans are rejecting President Obama’s plan is because they cannot bring themselves to endorse any idea he suggests, even if it is a Teapublican one.

7. Gun Control - Teapublicans overwhelmingly reject any and all gun control measures today. Which is very strange considering Ronald Reagan himself supported the Brady Handgun Act. But, it’s still true. Teapublicans did indeed support gun control measures in the past. It’s different now. Today’s intolerant, prejudiced, and extremist Teapublican Party is only against gun control now because they believe there needs to be a war against liberals and minority groups. It’s all about fear and war.

8. Public Education - Even the Founding Fathers believed in education for all. Every teapublican President in United States history has been supportive of the public education system in this country. Ronald Reagan campaigned on axing the Department of Education but not only did he NOT eliminate it, he amped up its budget. It is only now that President Obama seeks to improve the education system that Teapublicans are against public education. When President Bush sought to improve public education, Teapublicans were on board but now that Obama is President, Teapublicans have decided that all public schools are evil liberal institutions that must be destroyed.

9. Infrastructure Spending - Teapublicans have always believed in strong infrastructure, until now. Teapublicans used the power of the federal government to build the railroads in the 1860′s and 1870′s, the Panama Canal in the beginning of the 20th century, and the interstate highway system in the 1950′s. Yet when President Obama called for new infrastructure spending to improve America’s crumbling roads and bridges and to improve our rail lines, Teapublicans immediately reversed their long-held belief in a strong American infrastructure. Why? Because they hate President Obama and oppose everything he believes in, even if it was once a part of the Teapublican platform.

10. Child Labor Laws - This one is surprising. Teapublicans were the ones that championed child labor laws in the first place. Starting in 1852, in the once Teapublican state of Massachusetts, child labor laws have been fought for by both parties. The only opponent of child labor laws has traditionally been big business. Teapublicans tried to pass a Constitutional amendment in 1924 and it didn’t succeed. It wasn’t until Democrats passed the Fair Labor Standards Act that child labor laws became federal law. Teapublicans oppose child labor laws now because of their deep ties with corporations. The goal of the corporate world is to find cheap labor and because President Obama is against huge corporations, Teapublicans must stand with the corporations, even if that means killing child labor laws.

11. Civil Rights - Teapublicans were once the champions of civil rights as well. They ended slavery and adopted the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. They splintered over the Civil Rights Act in 1964, although it was a Teapublican led Supreme Court that ruled in the Brown v Board of Education case, and have become more and more opposed to civil rights ever since. President Obama has called for increased civil rights and because of that, Teapublicans now oppose civil rights for everyone except Christian white males.

12. Environmental Protection - Originally championed by Theodore Roosevelt, Teapublicans used to support efforts to protect the environment. Over the last century, however, that support has reversed. Teapublicans even once supported the environment in the 1970′s when Nixon created the EPA, but no longer. Teapublicans are now in complete support of the irresponsibility of the oil and coal industry and want to open the entire American coastline and even federally protected lands to drilling and mining.

Teapublicans even used to support cap-and-trade. The first George Bush signed legislation in 1990 that implemented the cap-and-trade system and many Teapublicans still do support cap-and-trade. But because President Obama supports it, most Teapublicans are now against it.

13. Deficit Spending - This one is huge. Teapublicans have employed deficit spending since the Reagan years and abused it during the Bush administration to pass the conservative agenda and to fund wars. Reagan doubled the national debt and George W. Bush proceeded to double it again. But because Democrats controlled the White House and the Congress from 2008 to 2010, Teapublicans completely reversed their stance on deficit spending and still oppose deficit spending solely on the grounds that a Teapublican isn’t President. If a Teapublican were President right now, you can bet the farm that they would abuse deficit spending once again to slam the destructive anti-middle class, anti-poor, anti-women, and anti-America agenda through Congress with no thought about fiscal responsibility whatsoever.

14. Federal Reserve - The Federal Reserve is now a target for most Teapublicans, which is puzzling because it was a Teapublican idea. Proposed by Teapublican leader Nelson Aldrich to organize and regulate the banking system and to enforce monetary policy, and thus stabilize our financial system, the Federal Reserve Act was signed into law by Democratic President Woodrow Wilson in 1913. Teapublicans now want to dismantle or weaken the Federal Reserve because President Obama needs it to enforce Dodd-Frank which will make banks more responsible and accountable, and will protect consumers.

15. Women’s Rights - The women’s rights movement was born in and grew with the Teapublican Party in the mid 1800′s. Many Teapublicans supported voting rights for women although to pass the 19th Amendment it took women threatening to cause Teapublican losses in the 1920 Election to persuade them to help pass it in Congress. As women gained more equality, they also demanded equal pay for equal work and reproductive rights. Ronald Reagan legalized abortion as Governor of California in the 1960′s and a moderate conservative Supreme Court handed down the Roe v Wade decision in 1973. Today’s Teapublican Party is now waging a war against women and the harder Democrats and President Obama fight for women’s rights, the harder Teapublicans will fight to eliminate them because of orders from white Christian extremists.

16. End Of Life Counseling - Teapublicans referred to this as “death panels” in 2009 in response to President Obama’s Affordable Care Act. But Teapublicans wholeheartedly supported end of life counseling in their own 2003 Medicare bill. Both of the Bush Presidents supported end of life counseling and even Sarah Palin herself supported it before she suddenly turned against it. In fact, Teapublicans had supported end of life counseling for decades. So what happened? Easy. President Obama supports it, so Teapublicans are now against it. It’s really that simple. And petty.

17. Financial Disclosure - Teapublicans were all for this in 2002 when they passed and President Bush signed McCain-Feingold into law. Campaign financing laws have always been supported by Teapublicans and Democrats alike, until now. Because of their hatred of President Obama, who supports campaign finance laws, and their desperation for absolute power and authority, Teapublicans are now completely against financial disclosure. They have allied themselves with the corporate world over the American people in their effort to steer elections their direction and do that, campaign finance laws must not exist. That is why the activist conservative Supreme Court struck down the laws to begin with.

18. Minimum Wage - The way Teapublicans have been talking about abolishing the minimum wage, you would think they’ve always been against it, right? Wrong. 82 House Teapublicans and 39 Senate Teapublicans joined the Democratic majority in passing the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007. President Bush signed the bill into law. It is only now that President Obama stands with the American workers that Teapublicans oppose the minimum wage on behalf of their corporate masters, most notably, Koch Industries. If Teapublicans were so against the minimum wage, they would not have voted to raise it. Three times.

19. Military Intervention In The Middle East - This should really convince you that Teapublicans are simply opposing policies because a black President supports them. Reagan, Bush 41, and Bush 43 all supported military intervention in the Middle East yet when President Obama uses the military to intervene in Libya, Teapublicans all of a sudden become doves? They’ve really revealed themselves with this policy reversal. The fact that under President Obama, Libya successfully overthrew their dictator without one American life being lost must infuriate the GOP.

20. Abortion - It may sound really far-fetched but there are many pro-choice conservatives out there and some politicians are part of that group. Take Ronald Reagan for instance. He made abortion legal in California as Governor of the state. And most recently, it was discovered that extreme right-winger Rick Santorum’s wife had an abortion to save her own life. In my opinion, that means Santorum is for the procedure when his wife’s life is on the line, but every other woman needs to die rather than exercise their right to an abortion which was ruled to exist in Roe v Wade by a conservative leaning court in 1973.

21. Economic Development Administration - Never heard of this you say? This program provides grants to local projects which have created jobs. Teapublicans such as Susan Collins, Chuck Grassely, and even John Cornyn have supported it in the past. Cornyn stated in March 2010 that funds from an EDA grant “would pave the way for the creation of new jobs and business opportunities, which will strengthen the region’s economy,” according to a local East Texas NBC news affiliate. But now that the GOP plan to crash the economy on purpose is in full swing, Teapublicans are now calling for an end to the EDA.

22. Lower Taxes - Teapublican do support lower taxes, except they only support them for the wealthy, NOT the rest of us. Even as they crusade to eliminate taxes on corporations and the wealthy, Teapublicans fully support a new proposal that would actually raise taxes on the rest of us. And guess who opposes it? That’s right. President Obama. Teapublicans usually crusaded for lower taxes for everyone, but since they support class warfare now, they have partly reversed themselves.

23. Medicare - I’m aware that Teapublicans initially opposed Medicare when it was passed, but since its passage into law, Teapublicans have largely defended it, especially when they try to pander to senior citizens for votes. But if Teapublicans really wanted to kill Medicare, they would have actually done it when Ronald Reagan was in office. Reagan opposed Medicare when it was created but then did something quite unexpected as President. He saved it. By saving Medicare, Teapublicans practically endorsed it. Even Theodore Roosevelt supported national health care. And now the GOP has come full circle once again by opposing it, and are trying to slaughter it and the millions of seniors that rely on the popular health care program. Why? Because President Obama is in favor of keeping Medicare around for a very long time and Medicare represents just how popular government-run universal health care can be. So technically speaking, Teapublicans were against Medicare before they were for it before they were against it.

24. Social Security - Social Security is popular with everybody, even the staunchest right wingers. Ronald Reagan and Milton Freidman supported the New Deal programs of the 1930′s and even Ayn Rand collected Social Security up to her dying breath. Ronald Reagan even saved this program too by raising payroll taxes. This action also saved Medicare as it is part of the Social Security Act. The idea to privatize Social Security has popped up many times but has been met with negative reactions by a majority of the people so those ideas usually die in infancy. President Bush wanted to privatize it, but never did. Teapublicans had control of Congress and the White House from 2001-2006. If they had wanted to kill Social Security, they would have done so. But now all of a sudden they feel now is the time to privatize it, even as big bankers have proven that they are untrustworthy with money - and it just happens that President Obama supports Social Security. Just another reason for Teapublicans to hate it.

Undoubtedly, one could add even more to the list. We now can see what policies teapublicans once supported and why they are now against those very same policies. If we take teapublican claims to love America and their claims that the Founders were teapublicans seriously, we could also now say that teapublicans were for America before they were against her.

I was challenged on my facebook page today regarding a bitch about teapublicans and their galactally stupid mentality. I was asked "why do I not see a solution for your problem"? - the answer is easy Bob, don't vote teapublican.

Faux News Proves That Math Is An Important Subject In School

Math Fail: Faux News says 8.6 percent unemployment is greater than 8.8 and equal to 9.

For Faux News, math is tricky. After all, the subject does require a working knowledge of fractions, percentages, and knowing that 9 is greater than 8. Yesterday Faux took a stab at those concepts in a chart tracking unemployment rates over the past year. As Media Matters noted, Fox determined that the 8.6 percent unemployment rate in November is higher than the 8.8 percent rate from March and equal to the 9 percent rate from April:

Note how the 8.6 percent unemployment rate in November looks higher than March's 8.8 percent rate, and about the same as the 9 percent unemployment rate in October.
Faux News Chart

The actual chart of 2011 unemployment looks like this:

Seven polls have found that Faux News viewers are the most misinformed. Seven is also the integer between 6 and 8. We at NFTOS guess polls don't lie, especially in this instance!

In 2009, Faux reportedly sent an email to staff announcing "zero tolerance for on-screen errors." Apparently the memo hasn't stuck.

Too Advertise Or Not

Lowe’s, Bank Of America, and others pull ads from Muslim reality TV show after pressure.

The TLC reality TV show All-American Muslim chronicles the lives of a group of Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan. The show has been well-received for its fair and realistic portrayal of the Muslim American experience in the United States. Watch a trailer for the show here.

But a reality TV show that lets Americans relate to the lives of Muslims in the United States is an offensive idea to those who want to demonize Islam. The Florida Family Association (FFA) launched a campaign earlier this year to get companies to pull their advertising from the program. FFA claims that 65 of the 67 companies targeted have done this, including home improvement giant Lowe’s and megabank Bank of America:
The Florida Family Association, a Tampa Bay group, has led a campaign urging companies to pull ads on “All-American Muslim.” The FFA contends that 65 of 67 companies it has targeted have pulled their ads, including Bank of America, the Campbell Soup Co., Dell, Estee Lauder, General Motors, Goodyear, Green Mountain Coffee, McDonalds, Sears, and Wal-Mart.

One of the companies that FFA claims pulled commercials, Amway, told the Washington Post that such reports were “misleading” and that it has done no such thing. Lowe’s told the paper that it did indeed pull advertising. “We understand the program raised concerns, complaints, or issues from multiple sides of the viewer spectrum, which we found after doing research of news articles and blogs covering the show,” said Katie Cody, a spokeswoman for Lowe’s.

The Islamic Circle of North America is urging concerned citizens to call Lowe’s and protest their withdrawal of advertising: “We urge the American Muslim community and our friends, family, neighbors and all people of conscience to call Lowe’s CEO Robert Niblock at (704) 758-2084 or Executive Support Mr. Andrew Kilby at (866) 900-4650 and respectfully complain about this decision.”

UPDATE:

Lowe’s issued this statement on Facebook confirming that it pulled the ads: “Lowe’s has received a significant amount of communication on this program, from every perspective possible. Individuals and groups have strong political and societal views on this topic, and this program became a lighting rod for many of those views. As a result we did pull our advertising on this program.”
The Florida Family Association, the right-wing group responsible for manufacturing a campaign against All-American Muslim, says this about the show:
Clearly this program is attempting to manipulate Americans into ignoring the threat of jihad and to influence them to believe that being concerned about the jihad threat would somehow victimize these nice people in this show.

Radical Teapublican Females Prove They Are Just As Callous As Teapublican Men

Conservative women’s group applauds Senate decision to deny military rape victims abortion coverage.

The Senate decided last week to keep in place a policy that denies abortion coverage for military rape victims who became pregnant as a result of their sexual assault. Female service members who fight and die for their country are not extended the same rights as civilian government employees, who can use their government-funded insurance to pay for abortion if they’re victims of rape or incest, or even rape survivors in prison who receive government-funded abortion coverage.

Rape is rampant in the military, with nearly one in three women sexually assaulted while serving. Yet the Senate declined to vote on Sen. Jeanne Shaheen’s (D-NH) amendment that would restore abortion coverage and give military rape victims the same options as civilians and prisoners.

Anti-abortion activists are cheering the decision, and the conservative group Concerned Women for America had some particularly infuriating things to say about the Senate’s inaction:

Concerned Women for America (CWA) revealed exactly how little concern they have for actual women, much less for America, this week when they sent out a letter attacking women who defend our country for having the nerve to believe they deserve full medical care after being raped.

The mind-bogglingly vicious swipe at female soldiers had a couple of doozies, including the claim that allowing raped service members to access abortion “serves as a political distraction” from national security, as if it’s in the interest of national security to subject raped service members to forced childbirth.

But in a letter dripping with congratulatory faux concern and naked disregard for female service members who have been raped, the most attention-grabbing quote was this: Women deserve better than simply being given abortion as a ‘cure-all.’

CWA also described being raped and forced to bear a rapist’s child as merely “difficult circumstances requiring “compassion and support.”

The Senate’s cowardice in refusing to even bring the amendment to a vote is also disappointing. Declining to vote on a measure is a sneaky tactic that effectively kills the amendment, but allows senators to avoid going on the record denying rights to service members. Earlier this year a Republican-led House committee also shot down a Democratic measure like Shaheen’s.

According to very conservative Defense Department numbers, fewer than 20 percent of military sexual assaults are reported, and only 8 percent of assailants are prosecuted — in no small part because of the military’s pervasive blame-the-victim culture.

Corporate Tax Dodging

Corporate tax dodging has cost states more than $42 billion in revenue over the last three years.

Repeated tax dodging of large corporations, some of which, like GE, have gone entire years without paying taxes despite hauling in massive profits. Now, that phenomenon has spread to the states, where many corporations have largely avoided paying state corporate income taxes despite growing profits. Some companies, like DuPont, avoided state taxes altogether, paying nothing from 2008 to 2010 even as its profits piled up.
DuPont would rather sponsor race cars than pay taxes

But DuPont wasn’t alone. According to a study from Citizens for Tax Justice and the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, 68 corporations avoided state taxes entirely for at least one year from 2008 to 2010, costing state governments at least $42.7 billion, as the New York Times reports:

To gauge how much Fortune 500 companies are paying in corporate income taxes, the study looked at the 265 of them that are both profitable and disclose their state tax payments. It found that 68 reported paying no state corporate taxes in at least one year between 2008 and 2010. All together, the study found that the companies reported $1.33 trillion in domestic profits from 2008 to 2010, but paid states only about half of what they would have if they had paid at the average corporate income tax rate of all states — reducing their state taxes by some $42.7 billion.

As the Times notes, the share of state revenues coming from corporate taxes has steadily declined since 1980, from about 10 percent then to less than 6 percent now. And despite Republican rhetoric calling for lower corporate taxes on the national level, America’s rate there remains low as well. Corporations continue to sit on huge amounts of cash without investing in job creation, but GOP politicians and corporate leaders have called for even larger tax giveaways.

Meanwhile, the lost tax revenue would have gone a long way toward plugging budget holes that were instead filled by cutting education, social services, and programs that helped states’ most vulnerable and needy residents.

Radical Group Suggests When It Comes To Rat Poisoning And Your Kids...They are On Their Own

ALEC deems kids eating rat poison an ‘Acceptable Risk’!

It has been reported for some time, the corporate front group American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) has been colluding with the billionaire Koch brothers to privatize government and eliminate environmental regulations that interfere with profits.

GOP legislators in many states have given ALEC free reign to write anti-health care reform and anti-environment legislation. Now, ALEC is fighting to kill Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules limiting the sale of rat poisons that pose a serious health threat to children and the ecosystem.

A top representative for the ultra-conservative group said kids eating rat poison is an “acceptable risk” that does not justify government intervention:
“There are certain levels of acceptable risk in society,” says Todd M. Wynn, director of the ALEC Energy, Environment, and Agriculture Task Force, in an interview about the EPA rules with the Heartland Institute’s Heartlander website. “And parents play an important role by weighing the potential risks and benefits of using a product.”

“Unfortunately, EPA expands its reach into the American economy more and more each and every year,” Wynn said. “This year it will be d-Con, but next year another useful product will be burdened by additional regulations or banned outright from the market.”

Aaron Colangelo, an attorney for the NRDC…told the Center for Media and Democracy that “there is not an undue economic burden associated with reformulating these products,” pointing out that the rest of the industry had complied with the new rules without adverse economic impact. Additionally, he said, “the health care costs for treating these kids certainly outweigh the economic costs of reformulation.”
Wynn’s startling admission illustrates the extent to which ALEC is willing to sacrifice the health of Americans to advance their radical agenda. For decades, at least 12,000-15,000 children a year have become ill after accidentally touching or ingesting rat poison that’s spread in pellet form. Poisoned children experience internal bleeding, bloody urine, bleeding gums, and blood coming from their ears. Poor and minority children are disproportionately affected.

Exposure often occurs in settings outside parents’ control, and giving companies the option of voluntary adopting changes has done nothing to help. After thirteen years of studies, hearings, reports and legal battles, “the EPA announced in 2008 rodenticide manufacturers would have three years to adopt limits on the sale of the products.”

For years, ALEC has successfully killed these kind of regulations on environmental toxins and pollutants on behalf of corporations. At their annual conference in New Orleans this year, ALEC distributed a pamphlet titled “The Many Benefits Of Atmospheric CO2 Enrichment,” complete with pictures depicting happy wildlife and a healthy environment. Companies like Koch Industries, BP, WalMart, and others join forces to fund this little-known organization that works behind the scenes to fight the dirty battles that no corporation would want to be publicly associated with.

Faux News Says Fear Muppets

Faux News Business: The Muppets are ‘Brainwashing’ young people to hate the oil industry.

Faux News Attacks The Muppets

Life’s a happy song, but not when Faux Business is singing along. The network is upset that the new Muppets movie, The Muppets, features an oil tycoon as a villain, with various contributors complaining last week that the film amounts to “indoctrination” of young people into “hating corporate America” that borders on “Communist[ic].” Dan Gainor of the conservative Media Research Center agreed with host Eric Bolling that “liberal Hollywood is using class warfare to brainwash our kids” and the discussion rambled on from there. Watch it, via Media Matters:

If any of these talking heads had actually seen The Muppets, they would know that Tex Richman (played by Chris Cooper) isn’t out to destroy the Muppets because he wants oil, but because he wants only money and despises love. In his rap song “Let’s Talk About Me,” he tells you that all there is to him is that “I got mo’ money.”

The discussion unraveled into attacks against President Obama, the 99 Percent movement, and Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA). Andrea Tantaros, host of “The Five” over on Fox News, implored that Tex Richman embodies “The American Dream,” and Bolling suggested that teaching that wealth is bad amounts to Communism.

The Muppets, on the other hand, offers a very simple message of friendship and love to its viewers in its final number:
We’ve got everything that we need, we can be whatever we want to be. Nothing we can’t do, the skies are blue when it’s me and you and you and you. Life’s a happy song when there’s someone by your side to sing along.
It’s nothing new for Faux News and Faux Business to defend corporate interests, but who knew they seemingly oppose the unimpeachable messages of cooperation that the Muppets have been promoting for decades?

This is why it is important for teapublicans to please remember to breed responsibly, as there is no life guard at the gene pool. Really the "Muppets".
