The use of the term “black NAZI” signals an embrace of extremist ideology, shocking not just because of its contradiction to history but also for its flagrant flirtation with fascist sentiments.

III - Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Unless you’re not making your margin, then rotate and spilts shifts so you don’t have to pay overtime and make those lazy slobs who were too stupid to make a business of their own to work to cover your 24 x 7 internet business (remember – order online and you don’t have to pay sales tax!)

IV - Honor your father and your mother, Not you Mother and Mother, or Father and Father.

V - You shall not murder*. *except if you don’t like their skin tone, they’re not Christian, they’re foreign, you need their oil, they’re a gynecologist who will perform abortions, they’re the guv’nmint and they made too many laws restricting the 2nd Amendment.

VI - You shall not commit adultery*. *unless running for office, then its okay, just switch religions at every third divorce (see Newt Gingrich)

VII - “You shall not steal.

VIII - You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor; unless he’s running against you for office, you’ve poisoned his water, he’s informing someone about something you did that will hurt them

Former child star and heart throb of the TV show Growing Pains, Kirk Cameron, has apparently morphed into a giver of marriage advice that seems to come from a different decade.

The actor-turned-Christian evangelist had some of this advice this week, telling the Christian Post that women should “follow” their husbands’ leadership.

“Wives are to honor and respect and follow their husband’s lead, not to tell their husband how he ought to be a better husband,” he opined. “When each person gets their part right, regardless of how their spouse is treating them, there is hope for real change in their marriage.”

He added, “A lot of people don’t know that marriage comes with instructions. And, we find them right there in God’s word.”

Cameron has six children with his wife and fellow actress, Chelsea Noble, according to the Post.

This point of view isn't unique to Cameron, the Friendly Atheist points out.

“He’s only expressing what most churches still preach on a weekly basis, what has been the common theme of Biblical marriage for thousands of years, and is still part of most wedding ceremonies today, reminding wives to, ‘submit to your husbands in every way,'” Horus Gilgamesh writes. “Did the secular world really not have any idea that this type of inequality is readily taught in scripture and practiced in Christian households around the world?”

Cameron’s sister, Candace Cameron Bruce, also actively promotes the idea that wives should be submissive to husbands.

“The definition I’m using with the word ‘submissive’ is the biblical definition of that,” Bure, who starred in the sitcom “Full House,” wrote in her 2014 book. “So, it is meekness, it is not weakness. It is strength under control, it is bridled strength. And that’s what I choose to have in my marriage.”

WING-NUT HUCKABEE IF ELECTED WOULD DEFY COURT AS WELL

Wing-Nut Mike Huckabee said on Sunday that U.S. citizens only have to follow court orders if judges get “it right,” and that he would follow his conscience as president even if it meant the type of jail time Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis is serving.

Speaking with host George Stephanopolous, the GOP presidential candidate claimed court orders only become binding upon citizens when state or federal legislatures take the ruling and codify it into law.

Huckabee — who has hitched his fading star of a campaign to the fortunes of Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who is currently sitting in jail for contempt after refusing marriage licenses to same-sex couples — explained that there is no specific law Davis should have been following.

“George, can you cite for me what statute Kim Davis would be required follow in order to issue a same-sex marriage license in Kentucky when her state specifically says, by 75 percent of the voters, that marriage means one man, one woman?” Huckabee asked. “Can you cite the statute at the federal or state level that she’s supposed to follow? Even the very form that she fills out specifically lists a male and a female. Does she have the authority just to scratch that out and create her own?”

“Doesn’t she have to the duty to obey a legal order from the court?” Stephanopolous pressed.

“Well, you obey it if it’s right. So I go back to my question. Is slavery the law of the land?” Huckabee attempted as way of an explanation. “Should it have been the law of the land because Dred Scott said so? Was that a correct decision? Should the courts have been irrevocably followed on that? Should Lincoln have been put in jail? Because he ignored it.”

Turning to presidents following their conscience, Stephanopolous played a clip of President John F. Kennedy in 1960 stating: “When if the time should ever come and I do not concede any conflict to be remotely possible, when my office would require me to either violate my conscience or violate the national interest, then I would resign the office.”



“Would you make that same statement in your candidacy for president?” the host asked Huckabee.

“I can’t see any circumstance in which I would be required to violate my conscience and — and the law,” Huckabee conceded before adding, “And if so, I think maybe there is a point at which you say either I’ll resign or put me in jail.”

LOCK THE DOORS, JOSH IS IN THE HOUSE

The Duggar family put locks on their children’s doors and put a stop to games like hide-and-seek after they found out that oldest child Josh Duggar had sexually molested four of his sisters, two of the sisters revealed Friday.

Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard revealed to Fox News’ Megyn Kelly Friday that they were two of Josh’s victims. The sisters spoke about the steps their parents took to try to minimize the risk of another molestation after they learned of Josh’s actions.

“My parents said, OK, we’re not going to do this hide and seek thing where two people go off together,” Jill said. “As a mother now, I look back and think my parents did such an amazing job…Not only taking care of Josh, but us girls.”

The sisters said that revealing themselves as Josh’s victims “wouldn’t have been our first choice,” but they chose to tell their story to Fox News after the story of Josh’s actions broke “to come out and set the record straight.”

Last month, news broke that Josh, the oldest of the family’s 19 children, had admitted to his parents that he’d inappropriately touched five girls. Josh committed the acts back in 2002 and 2003, when he was 14 and 15 years old, but the family’s patriarch, Jim Bob Duggar, waited for more than a year to report the incident to authorities. Josh resigned as head of the conservative Family Research Council’s lobbying arm late last month.

In the interview, Jill and Jessa said they didn’t know about the molestation's — which they said happened while they were about 12 and 10 years old — until their parents told them what had happened. Jessa said that the molestation amounted to “mild inappropriate touching on fully clothed victims, most of it while girls were sleeping.” She said that Josh’s actions were “very wrong” and “not permissible,” but she also defended her brother against some of the media’s claims.

“I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or a pedophile or a rapist…I’m like, that is so overboard and a lie really,” she said. “In Josh’s case, he was a boy — a young boy in puberty, and a little too curious about girls. And that got him into trouble.”

Jill said that Josh also asked each girl to forgive him, and that she made the choice to do so.

The sisters’ interview came a few days after parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar also spoke to Megyn Kelly. In that interview, Jim Bob minimized the actions of his son, saying that what Josh did “was not rape or anything like that.”

“He had gone in and just basically touched them over their clothes while they were sleeping. They didn’t even know he had done it,” Jim Bob said. He added later that there “were a couple incidents where he touched them under their clothes, but it was like a few seconds.”

The Duggars have been strongly criticized for not reporting Josh immediately to the police and for downplaying Josh’s actions. Questions have also been raised about the Duggars’ homeschooling curriculum, the Advanced Training Institute (ATI). ATI has a lesson on Counseling Sexual Abuse, which includes a section titled “Why did God Let It Happen?” and lists “Immodest dress, Indecent exposure, Being out from protection of our parents, Being with evil friends” as potential reasons why the “defrauding” occurred. It’s not known whether or not the Duggars used ATI’s handout on sexual abuse to counsel their daughters.

KEY MICHAEL BROWN WITNESS, #40 - WAS NEVER NEAR THE MURDER SCENE.....

SANDRA MCELROY HAS SOME SPLANNIN TO DO

A bombshell investigative report at The Smoking Gun claims to have unmasked “Witness 40″ as Sandra McElroy, and alleges she was nowhere near the scene of the fatal shooting of unarmed black teen Michael Brown by a white police officer, as she testified under oath. Darren Wilson, the officer who shot Brown was not indicted in a controversial grand jury decision in late November, sparking nationwide protests. Wilson described Brown as a hulking menace ready to kill him with his bare hands. Some witness testimony supported this while many others described Brown as surrendering as he was shot.

Fox News' Sean Hannity's favorite witness has come under scrutiny. In meticulous detail, the report eviscerates her credibility as a witness. The Smoking Gun says that it uncovered her identity through social media messages, statements in her testimony and details of her life, and that she then confirmed that she was the witness. The report explains that McElroy,

“…waited four weeks after the shooting to contact cops. By the time she gave St. Louis police a statement on September 11, a general outline of Wilson’s version of the shooting had already appeared in the press. McElroy’s account of the confrontation dovetailed with Wilson’s reported recollection of the incident.”

The report describes how McElroy’s testimony was essentially a description of information already available in the media due to leaks by the Ferguson Police Department. This amounted to a rehash of Wilson’s testimony that Brown reached into his car and punched him, and that he later rushed him. Her alleged reason for being in the neighborhood raised red flags with investigators, but was used in grand jury testimony anyway,

“McElroy’s tale was met with skepticism by the investigators, who reminded her that it was a crime to lie to federal agents. When questioned about inconsistencies in her story, McElroy was resolute about her vivid, blow-by-blow description of the deadly Brown-Wilson confrontation. ‘I know what I seen,’ she said. ‘I know you don’t believe me.’

When asked what she was doing in Ferguson–which is about 30 miles north of her home–McElroy explained that she was planning to ‘pop in’ on a former high school classmate she had not seen in 26 years. Saddled with an incorrect address and no cell phone, McElroy claimed that she pulled over to smoke a cigarette and seek directions from a black man standing under a tree. In short order, the violent confrontation between Brown and Wilson purportedly played out in front of McElroy.

Despite an abundance of red flags, state prosecutors put McElroy in front of the Ferguson grand jury the day after her meeting with the federal officials. After the 12-member panel listened to a tape of her interview conducted at the FBI office, McElroy appeared and, under oath, regaled the jurors with her eyewitness claims.”

After providing this testimony, she returned to the grand jury the next day with a spiral bound notebook, supposedly containing her observations that she wrote down after the shooting. When presenting the notebook, she changed her story.

“Before testifying about the content of her notebook scribblings, McElroy admitted that she had not driven to Ferguson in search of an African-American pal she had last seen in 1988. Instead, McElroy offered a substitute explanation that was, remarkably, an even bigger lie.

McElroy, again under oath, explained to grand jurors that she was something of an amateur urban anthropologist. Every couple of weeks, McElroy testified, she likes to ‘go into all the African-American neighborhoods.’ During these weekend sojourns–apparently conducted when her ex has the kids–McElroy said she will ‘go in and have coffee and I will strike up a conversation with an African-American and I will try to talk to them because I’m trying to understand more.'”

Her journal entry account of what she was planning to do the day of the shooting is,

“Well I'm gonna take my random drive to Florissant. Need to understand the Black race better so I stop calling Blacks Niggers and Start calling them People.”

The report details legal trouble she has run into in the past, including writing fraudulent checks. Once when she was in bankruptcy court, her lawyer asked to be removed from her case because McElroy

“repeatedly used profanity when speaking with Counsel’s secretary which escalated to the use of racial slurs.”

After local police rescued a boy held captive for years, McElroy called local media and claimed to have told police where the boy was. Police stated,

“The Kirkwood Police Department has investigated her allegation and we have no record of any contact with Mrs. McElroy in regards to Shawn Hornbeck. We have found that this story is a complete fabrication.”

The report describes that McElroy testified that she has a faulty memory stemming from a 2001 car accident in which she was launched through the windshield. She was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder when she was a teenager, and not has not taken medication to treat it for 25 years.

Before she spoke to police and claimed to have witnessed the shooting, she made comments on social media logically inconsistent with the perspective of someone who had seen it. On social media, McElroy posted an image of a police officer standing over Mike Brown’s dead body with a caption that read,

“Mike Brown already received justice so please, stop asking for it.”

Finally, McElroy launched a Facebook page to raise money for Darren Wilson. When questioned about it, she said it was for Ferguson first responders dealing with the riots. But the page claimed to have sent money to the Darren Wilson Trust Fund.

The report is incredibly damning of the entire Justice proceedings of the case. It especially calls into question the conduct and conclusion of the grand jury. If this detailed, researched report is even remotely true, McElroy’s legal history and overt biases should have disqualified her ludicrous story from being taken seriously. She should have been torn to pieces by the prosecutor. And in a regular trial, her testimony would have been demolished under cross-examination. That someone with such a troubled past, whose story was so problematic, was allowed to stand as a witness, virtually unchallenged, is scathing evidence that the grand jury was woefully inadequate. It underscores the validity of the nationwide protests pleading with the nation that something is very wrong in our Justice system.

Racist, bi-polar and not near the murder scene, nothing to see here, move on!

Let's stop focusing on facts for a while and just put our faith in the white police officer.

Most humans with an IQ above one hold a firm belief that religion and politics should never be mixed. These are two subjects that by themselves are controversial enough, let alone mixing them together. Our Founding Fathers knew this, which is probably why they didn’t use the word “Christianity” even once in our Constitution.

Our First Amendment clearly states that, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion…” and individuals like Thomas Jefferson had several documented instances where they said there should be a strict separation of church and state.

Even within Christianity there are many different denominations, so if we can’t agree within the same faith on what to believe – who in their right mind would believe one faith should rule this country?

Conservatives often make a barefaced effort to inject religion into their policy making as much as possible. When it comes to economic policies they suddenly forget that Jesus Christ spoke out against greed and focused on the responsibility a society has to its poor, needy, sick and elderly - unlike the ilk of the conservative, where the motto is 'me', 'me', 'me' ita all about "me'.

Tin Foil Hat Society members are not actual Christians, they are a mix of political ideologies tossed in with a handful of passages from the Bible. Let’s be realistic — when it comes to the Bible, most of these so called Christians pick and chooses which passages they want to follow and which they don’t - much like the U.S. Constitution.

Listed below are what most intelligent Americans would explicate as - based on what the GOP currently stand for;

The Republican Ten Commandments:

Thou shalt worship no other Americans but Ronald Reagan.

Thou shalt pay no attention to the fact that tax rates have nothing to do with capitalism. Remember, we were in fact a nation based on socialism before 1980 when our savior was elected.

To speak ill of Ronald Reagan means you are not a real conservative.

Thou shalt honor Ayn Rand’s economic ideologies, but ignore the fact that she was an atheist who thought religious people were fools.

Thou shalt respect your mother and father by ensuring that we privatize Social Security and Medicare so that private corporations can profit from these programs.

Guns are the only means of salvation. Thou shalt live in fear every moment that someone is out to get you.

Though adultery and divorce are acceptable and frequent occurrences (especially in “strongly conservative” states), it is same-sex marriage that will ultimately destroy the traditional family and ruin the sanctity of marriage.

Women are to be treated as subservient to men. Their rights will be determined by panels consisting entirely of males as it is clear men know more, and are better suited to determine female equality and how to handle women’s health.

The poor are but leeches on society seeking a handout from everybody else. The rich suffer the greatest burden of all and it is your responsibility to ensure that the rich are properly taken care of, for they are the job creators.

Thou shalt remember that greed is good, the poor are lazy, gays are bad, women are wicked, Rush Limbaugh is a respectable citizen, Sarah Palin is intelligent and George W. Bush was a great president.

THE REALITY OF THE HOBBY LOBBY DECISION

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum; Hobby Lobby owner David Green and his "Christian" based company supplied their female employees every contraceptive available, [which included the now banned ones] in their health plan - that is until Obamacare was passed. Then all of the sudden their "Christian Faith" and "Moral Compass" hit them, and then...........

........The U.S. Supreme Court's decision Monday in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Store, Inc. was stunning both in its sexist nature and in ignoring long-standing precedent preventing corporations from imposing their religious beliefs and values on employees.

On one side of the decision were the court's five conservative justices - all men appointed by Republican presidents - saying it was OK for Hobby Lobby and another company, Conestoga Wood Specialties, to ignore the federal health law requirement that the insurance policies they provide include free contraception coverage for women. Whether women take advantage of the coverage is, of course, up to them and their doctors.

On the other side of the 5-4 ruling were the three women on the court, joined by Justice Stephen Breyer - collectively representing the liberal wing - who decry in their dissenting opinion the majority's ruling that the religious positions of a few corporate leaders trump the personal freedoms of their female employees.

The two corporations challenged the contraception mandate on the grounds it includes methods that the corporate leaders consider tantamount to abortion because they can prevent embryos from implanting in the womb. Forcing them to include the methods in coverage would make them complicit in the practice, they argued.

The court's decision hinges on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) of 1994 that prevents the government from "taking any action that substantially burdens the exercise of religion unless that action constitutes the least restrictive means of serving a compelling government interest."

In other words, it is a bad and unclear decision based on a bad and unclear law.

Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., seemingly recognizing the thin constitutional ice on which he was treading, sought to narrow the scope of the decision.

"The companies in the cases before us are closely held corporations, each owned and controlled by members of a single family," Justice Alito writes, arguing that the ruling should only be viewed in that narrow context.

In her dissent, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg looks through that transparent curtain.

"Although the Court attempts to cabin its language to closely held corporations, its logic extends to corporations of any size, public or private," she writes.

Given the majority's expansive interpretation of the RFRA, why couldn't a Catholic corporate ownership deny any form of birth control coverage based on the church's teaching? Some religious sects oppose vaccines and transfusions, others medications derived from certain animals. Could owners with these beliefs refuse to provide insurance coverage for such treatments, Justice Ginsburg asks.

For that matter, she continues, the conservative majority's reasoning could extend outside of health policy, throwing out laws that prevent corporations from using their own religious standards to discriminate against unmarried people living together, or homosexuals, or those in inter-religious or inter-racial marriages.

Best case, the decision is so narrow that it is only OK for a closely held corporation to impose its beliefs on employees when the topic is the reproductive rights of women. Either way -broad or narrow - the ruling is a terrible one.

In 1982, the high court ruled on the case of an Amish farmer who believed that withholding Social Security taxes from his employees or paying the employer's share of such taxes would violate his faith. The court said he could not use a religious rights' argument to deny his workers participation in Social Security.

"When followers of a particular sect enter into commercial activity as a matter of choice, the limits they accept on their own conduct as a matter of conscience and faith are not to be superimposed … on others in that activity." An employer, that court found, cannot "impose (its) religious faith on the employees."

That is what Hobby Lobby is doing to its female employees. Maybe just maybe this court should have followed its own precedent.

MAYBE THEY ARE GETTING THE MESSAGE?

On January 31, the Mississippi Senate unanimously passed SB 2681, a bill that adds “In God We Trust” to the state seal. It also contained language just like that in Arizona’s freshly-vetoed bill that would allow people to use religious beliefs as a defense in civil cases — thereby instituting the same “license to discriminate” that prompted a national backlash in Arizona. The bill passed under the radar, without any discussion about whether it was anti-LGBT, but thanks to pressure from the ACLU, the bill is receiving a significant rewrite.

Late Wednesday night, the Mississippi House Civil Subcommittee voted to strike all of the problematic language that would have protected discrimination. Instead, the bill will resemble the Religious Freedom Restoration Acts (RFRA) that 18 other states have. These laws, along with their federal counterpart, help protect individuals’ religious practices from government intrusion without allowing them to be imposed on others.

Mississippi is only the latest state to scrap, stall, or defeat a “license to discriminate” measure disguised as “religious liberty.” In addition to the veto in Arizona, bills were defeated this week in Ohio, Indiana, and Georgia and last week in Kansas, Maine, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Idaho. Missouri is currently the only state where such a bill is still on the table.

DeLay said that Americans have forgotten "that God created this nation [and] that He wrote the Constitution, that it's based on biblical principles," but he is also optimistic that the tide is beginning to shift, noting that when he was in Congress, he sealed off the rotunda in the Capitol building so that leaders from Congress could come together for three hours to get on their knees and seek the face of God.

If God indeed write the constitution, the why prey tell did it need amending? For Tom's sake, maybe we can clear it up, based on Biblical principles.

God gave Moses the Ten Commandments.

Men wrote the US constitution, and did it with the express intention of not allowing this country to be a theocracy.

Why this asshole isn't in an orange jumpsuit putting nuts and bolts in a bag for twenty cents a day at some for profit prison created by his best friends is proof that god does not exist in this world.

Bill Maher's "New Rules" last night was a scathing examination of religious people who would love to do things like take care of the starving and needy - that is if it wasn't always for some personal conflict getting in the way.

Maher said these Christians should “just admit you’re selfish” and come to terms with the fact that their actions do not “mirror the spirit of Jesus.”

Maher ran the spectrum of "republican Jesus" ideology, from republicans pushing for more food stamp cuts, to a Christian family that left a homophobic note instead of a tip for their gay waiter. Maher said they repeatedly emphasized the line “not share” to show “they've really absorbed the message of Jesus.”

Maher mocked the Christian message of “I believe in charity, just not for people who need it” and concluded that “there’s always a good moral Christian to tell everyone you meet to fuck off and die.”

CREEPY GUN HUGGER IN WALMART

If you go shopping in Huntsville, Texas, you’re likely to run into a local preacher with an assault rifle slung across his back. Beginning last week, Pastor Terry Holcomb started posting videos of himself wandering into local businesses with an AR-15 Bushmaster rifle — the same weapon used to kill 20 children and six adults in the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting.

In one video, Holcomb wanders about a Walmart for several minutes before he is approached by two store employees and asked to leave. He argues briefly with those two employees until a manager approaches and threatens to call the police if he does not exit the store. Although Holcomb then agrees to leave the store, he refuses a request to stop videoing the engagement — at one point, his camera man claims the recording is for Holcomb’s “safety.”




Holcomb told a local news station that the purpose of his conspicuously armed visits to Huntsville businesses is to protest a Texas law which permits gun owners to openly carry long rifles but not handguns, which must be concealed and can only be carried by individuals with valid concealed carry permits.

Yet, while a legal regime that regulates handguns more strictly than assault rifles may seem counter-intuitive, it is entirely sensible to apply stricter regulations to handguns than to other firearms in light of the fact that handguns are so frequently used to commit homicides. According to the FBI, there were approximately 47,500 murders committed with a gun in 2001-2005. Almost 8 in 10 of these murders were committed with a handgun.

Yet, despite the unique danger presented to the public by handguns, the five conservatives on the Supreme Court gave them special protection under the Second Amendment. According to Justice Antonin Scalia’s opinion in District of Columbia v. Heller, handguns cannot be banned because they are “the most preferred firearm in the nation to `keep’ and use for protection of one’s home and family.” Thus, the weapon that is most likely to be used in a gun murder is also the hardest weapon to regulate under this Supreme Court.

There's no discernible difference between this guy and the creep exposing himself in a different way to women and children. It's an emotionally stunted desire to shock and frighten others and give himself a false feeling of power, which is kind of concerning since he pretends to be a preacher - and the fact that this person can be considered a "preacher" says much, none of it good, about his flock........Jesus wept, them vomited!

VIRGINIA CRISES PREGNANCY CENTER CAUGHT LYING

SURPRISE!

An new undercover investigation into Virginia’s right-wing “crisis pregnancy centers” (CPCs) exposes the blatant misinformation about women’s health, as well as the shame-based messages surrounding sexuality, that their employees typically impart to patients. NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia — which has been working for years to expose the dozens of CPCs in the state — caught the lies on tape and released their findings on Wednesday.

NARAL recorded a counseling session between a young woman and a CPC employee. The woman received false information about the risks of hormonal birth control, misleading explanations about how contraception works, and judgmental messages about her decision to be sexually active before getting married. During the conversation, the CPC counselor repeatedly suggested that her organization was more trustworthy than the staff at abortion clinics, since abortion providers are ultimately trying to convince their patients to spend money at the clinic. “I’m not lying to you, sweetie — why would I lie to you? I’m not asking you to give me anything here,” she said. “We’re a pregnancy health and education center.”

For several minutes, a CPC employee told horror stories about the dangers of being on birth control, saying she typically tries to talk women out of using it. She likened birth control to “tremendous dosages of steroids,” and belittled her patient for opting to flood her body with artificial hormones. “You really want that stuff inside of you? You have a brain, think and choose here,” she said. “Any of that stuff is just not good for you.”

According to the CPC counselor, birth control is dangerous because taking it for four years before becoming pregnant can increase women’s chance of getting breast cancer by 48 percent. She repeatedly referred to the “carcinogens” in contraception. She also cautioned her client to “read the fine print,” warning that even if she would never choose to have an abortion, she could accidentally end up aborting a fetus while using hormonal contraception. “If you’re on the pill, on the patch, on the shot, and get pregnant… Unintentionally, you will abort that baby because the uterus cannot sustain that pregnancy because the lining has been so altered by those steroids, the artificial hormones,” she claimed.

The CPC employee falsely asserted that condoms and birth control pills are about equally effective at preventing pregnancy, and claimed that using condoms doesn’t actually prevent the transmission of sexually transmitted infections. “They’re naturally porous — there’s always a chance of them breaking, a chance of spillage,” she said. “The only safe sex is no sex.”

The conversation also quickly took a religious bent. “If you’re not married, why are you having sex?” the CPC counselor asked her client. “That’s why you feel like you have to put these hormones in your body — the more you have sex, the more chance you have of getting pregnant.” Later, she added, “Confined to a marriage, of course, sex is expected — you believe in God, that’s the whole plan of God.”

This is hardly the first report of its kind. Another recent undercover investigation at a crisis pregnancy center in Ohio recorded similar misinformation and conservative religious bias during an appointment with a counselor. And previous research from NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia has discovered that at least 40 of the state’s 58 CPCs are telling their clients medically inaccurate information about birth control and abortion.

Still, the organization’s newest report is more confirmation that CPCs, which typically attempt to position themselves as unbiased medical resources, are actually operating within the anti-choice community. “This shocking audio exposes Virginia CPCs for what they are: anti-choice field offices designed to mislead, shame, and lie to women during one of the most vulnerable times of their lives,” Tarina Keene, the executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia, said in a statement. “Regardless of your stance on abortion, we can all agree that anyone seeking health care services and advice should receive comprehensive, non-judgmental, and factually accurate information.”

There is significant evidence that disseminating misinformation about birth control does a disservice to public health. Abstinence-only health classes, which impart similar factually-inaccurate information about sexual health resources, have contributed to a generation of young Americans who don’t believe using birth control makes any difference, and are therefore more inclined to skip it. A full 60 percent of young adults believe that contraception is less effective than it actually is.

Nevertheless, Virginia’s right-wing CPCs actually receive significant endorsement from state officials. Under the state’s forced ultrasound law, women are required to have a sonogram before they can proceed with an abortion — and all 18 of the health clinics that the health department suggests women can visit to fulfill that requirement are crisis pregnancy centers. And Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) — who’s currently running for governor — has been extremely vocal about his support for CPCs. He spearheaded an effort to get the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles to begin offering “Choose Life” license plates, the proceeds of which directly fund CPCs.

I find that lying is second nature to the little servants of darkness pretending to be religious conservatives. As a Virginian, I am not surprised, but very much appalled. Virginia where governor ultrasound presides, where sodomy is a crime against nature and where women's reproductive health is seriously endangered.

Well, the "War on Women" worked so well for the "Teahadists", as did the "War on Voter Suppression," why not a "War on Sex?"

Walk into any eleventh grade classroom in Virginia. If Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R-VA) has his way, close to forty percent of the students will be felony sex offenders.

Dahlia Lithwick breaks down the implications of Cuccinelli’s plan in a must-read piece over at Slate. In short, Cuccinelli’s petition asking the Supreme Court to reinstate much of Virginia’s so-called “crimes against nature” law — which criminalizes oral and anal sex — is unlikely to impact adults who have sex with adults because the Court’s previous decision in Lawrence v. Texas held that the Constitution protects non-commercial sexual activity among adults. The tea partying attorney general’s petition, however, largely relies on a line in Lawrence suggesting that underage sexual activity can still be criminalized.

As Lithwick notes, “44 percent of males and 42 percent of females between the ages of 15 and 17 have engaged in oral sex in the United States.” While it’s undoubtedly true that a minority of these teenagers are engaged in oral sex with someone much older, the overwhelming majority of them are partnering with each other. And since Cuccinelli’s proposed rule would make no exception for teens who have oral sex with other teens, every single high school student who does so would become a felon and a sex offender.

Once again - the goal is zero sex. It's not Christian like, and therefore it is not legal. As we all know, laws in the US are based on the Republican Bible or Republican Jesus- the one where Jesus loves guns and profit, and even prophesies the Coming Of Saint Ronald.

With the grafting scandal of Virginia's Governor Transvaginal Bob - If we find out that the Governor received sodomy as a gift, would Ken Cuccinelli then ask him to step down, arrest him, jail him, and file him with the State Police registrar as a sexual predator and deviant?

What do you get when you mix an American Taliban with a GOP Christian? Introducing "Talibangelicals", the cross of radical conservationism and bible thumping hypocrites.

I always love how the "Talibangelicals" [my new name for the GOP] spin the bible and Christianity to suit their mood for the day. Hypocrisy runs amuck in conservative land when it comes to Christianity. Their lack of true knowledge of the bible, like that of the U.S. Constitution, is overwhelmingly embarrassing. Mark Twain once said:

"Its better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt"

The separation of church and state is supposed to be the distance in the relationship between organized religion and the nation state.

But yet we hear constantly - Talibngelicals, invoking religion into government. Take out blog form yesterday, "Open Rebellion Against Gods Laws".

I am really sick and tired of Talibangelicals not practicing what they preach. Until such time that they can do so, I'd prefer that they just sit down and shut the f*ck up!

REPUBLICANS AREN'T CHRISTIANS

We at NFTOS rarely post someone's else's work, but after reading this, we thought it was worthy a spot, as it speaks volumes - to a valid point of the confluence of the American Taliban and Christianity.

Republicans don’t get a lot of things, but they really don’t get Christianity—because it’s not what they follow.

See, a few decades ago the leaders of the GOP did something very intelligent. History shows one of the easiest ways to manipulate, and control, people is through their religion. You can get people to do horrific things in the name of “their god” by convincing them that their actions are acceptable because they are the true believers, and those they oppose are the “heathens.”

You see this with radicals of every faith. These radical leaders take a handful of excerpts from whatever book they follow and manipulate millions into believing whatever they want.

Republicans knew two key issues could easily control millions — abortion and homosexuality. Once they identified their two key manipulation points, all they needed to do was tie in whatever political ideology they wanted with these two religious-based beliefs and they could create a political party that was worshiped more like a faith than a political idea.

And that’s exactly what they did. I always encourage people to stop saying Republicans represent Christianity, and call them out on what they really worship.

I call it “Republicanity” and I consider it a cult. It’s a perversion of Christianity mixed with a political set of man-made beliefs. These people view their devotion to the GOP on the same level they do their belief in God. To them, the Republican Party is the party of “real Christians.” They don’t need facts or reality to support their political beliefs, they have “faith.”

Except, your political beliefs are supposed to be based on facts — not faith.

I’m a Christian, and these people damn sure don’t represent my faith. What they follow is some mix of Ayn Rand economic ideologies and a couple of select passages from the Bible.

Which I always find hilarious considering Ayn Rand thought religious people were stupid and insane. So people like Paul Ryan, who built his economic ideology on her teachings while claiming to be a devout “Christian,” just show their ignorance by claiming to believe in both. How exactly can someone build an economic platform based on a woman who completely contradicted Christianity, while claiming to be a follower of Christianity?

It makes absolutely no damn sense.

See, the whole point of being a Christian means you follow the teachings of Christ. I’ve actually seen many of these “Christians” try and say Jesus would support cuts to welfare and side with the top-down economic policies of the Republican Party.

As I've said before, whether you believe in Jesus Christ or not is not the issue, what he symbolized and his story aren't really debatable. He spent his life helping the poor, sick and needy. He never once spoke about homosexuality or abortion. He embraced those from the lowest rungs of society by saying that those for whom much had been given, much is expected. He taught love, hope, compassion and forgiveness. He warned against those who would manipulate the word of God for their own selfish ambitions. He opposed greed and encouraged giving.

You know, the exact oppose of what Republicans stand for.

But that doesn't matter to these people because they oppose abortion and homosexuality—again, two things Jesus never spoke of.

And honestly, can you name one other “Christian” value Republicans claim to value? Because I hate to break it to them, but guns weren't invented by Jesus. Saying you have a “God-given right to bear arms” is just ignorant. God didn't grant anyone the right to bear arms, a bunch of slave owning rich white men did in the late-1700′s. Many of which weren't even Christians.

So please, stop calling Republicans “Christians”—they’re not.

I can’t count the times I've heard people say they don’t consider themselves Christians any longer because of the ignorance of the Republican Party. Millions have abandoned Christianity because these people have hijacked a faith to distort it for their own political gains.

It’s time real Christians take back their faith from these people who’ve turned so many sour on Christianity. It’s time they rise up against these ignorant fake Christians and call them out directly on the truth. They don’t follow Christianity.

They follow Republicanity. They worship Reagan, guns and greed—not Jesus Christ.

Legislation aimed at reducing gun violence is “a limitation on a God-given right of man that has existed throughout the history of civil society,” according to an article published in the leading conservative opinion journal National Review.

The author, David French, interprets the Christian Bible as granting everyone a right to self-defense. He suggests that this, if true, means that God’s will is that people have access to guns, as they are the means for self defense:

In fact, Jesus’s disciples carried swords, and Jesus even said in some contexts the unarmed should arm themselves…What does all this mean? Essentially that gun control represents not merely a limitation on a constitutional right but a limitation on a God-given right of man that has existed throughout the history of civil society. All rights — of course — are subject to some limits (the right of free speech is not unlimited, for example), and there is much room for debate on the extent of those limits, but state action against the right of self-defense is by default a violation of the natural rights of man, and the state’s political judgment about the limitations of that right should be viewed with extreme skepticism and must overcome a heavy burden of justification.

Even if French is right about the Christian view of self-defense (though Jesus did have choice words about “turning the other cheek“), it’s a logical fallacy to say this implies anything about restrictions on access to guns. Saying that people have a right to defend themselves if attacked isn’t the same thing as saying they should have a right to possess any conceivable means of defending themselves – presumably, French is fine with banning grenade launchers. The burden, instead, is on French to prove that universal background checks or limitations on assault weapon ownership somehow prevent people from defending themselves; to prove, in other words, that gun regulation is actually a restriction on the right of self-defense proper rather than a crime-prevention statute.

Moreover, French is wrong about the role of “self-defense” in a democracy. He cites John Locke, enlightenment philosopher and inspiration for the American Revolution, to suggest that gun rights are “fundamental rights of nature.” But as Ari Kohen, a professor of political theory at the University of Nebraska, points out, French radically misinterprets Locke:

But for people to establish a political community, Locke asserts that people must give up to the government their natural right to punish criminal behavior and agree to have the government settle grievances. This is why we have standing laws that are meant to be applied equally by independent officers of the law and by the courts.

Locke, as Kohen says, held that our right to use force was necessarily limited by the creation of legitimate government — that’s why we have police. This means that the government can limit access to certain weapons as means of discharging its responsibility to keep the peace. While the government may not be able to legitimately ban you from say, killing a home invader who’s brandishing a gun, it also can take reasonable steps to prevent criminals from being able to threaten you with arms in the first place without having to overcome a “heavy burden of justification.”

This isn’t the first questionable gun piece published in National Review. After the Newtown shooting, its editors suggested that mass school shootings were the price we pay for the Second Amendment. One of its writers, Charlotte Allen, infamously wrote that the Newtown massacre happened because there were too many female teachers.

Thou shalt oppress homosexuals and others that would destroy the 1950's image of the American Christian family, but a man can take as many wives as he so chooses, but not all at the same time. He must marry, divorce, and move on to remain in Gods favor.

Thou shalt hate those among you who would destroy these commandments, to include liberals, socialist, communist, gays, Muslims, minorities - but do not research or learn the definitions of these words, because you may then become tempted.

Only by voting republican, shall you be allowed in Gods kingdom.
