"HE'S A FLAT OUT RACIST"

A once Orange Hitler campaign adviser tried to tell Republican Ana Navarro how upset he felt about her calling Donald Trump a racist — and she proceeded to rain the wrath of hell on him.

During a panel on CNN Tonight with Don Lemon, former Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo said it was “outrageous” that Navarro would accuse Donald Trump of attacking Mexicans from the very first day of his campaign.

Navarro then pointed out that Trump not only accused the Mexican government of intentionally sending “rapists” into the United States, but he also said that Judge Gonzalo Curiel was unqualified to oversee the case against Trump University because of his “Mexican” heritage.

Caputo didn't back down, however.
“Ana, for you to sit here and call Donald Trump a flat-out racist is outrageous,” he said.
“Well let me do it again, and let me do it in two languages,” she shot back. “Es un racista — he is a flat-out racist, and it’s what he’s played on for 16 months. He is a bigot, he is a racist, he is a misogynist. He has said horrible things about women. He has said horrible things about immigrants, about Hispanics. He has yet to say one good thing about immigrants, and for your to shake your head and tell me that I’m the outrageous one, that’s what outrages me.”
As Navaro spoke, Caputo was left defenseless and could only rolls his eyes. Typical of one who is left defending a shit stain racist.

BEE COMPLETELY EXCORIATES SMALL PENIS NRA TYPES

An emotional Samantha Bee opened Full Frontal on Monday night, and immediately went off on America’ response to yet another mass shooting by attacking the shooter, the NRA, Florida Gov. Rick Scott and a gun culture that enabled a man to slaughter 49 people in an Orlando nightclub.
“The standard operating procedure is that you stand on stage and deliver some well-meaning words about how we will all get through this together, how love wins, how love conquers hate,” she began. “And that is great and that is beautiful. But you know what? Fuck it! I’m too angry for that! Love does not win unless we start loving each other enough to fix our fucking problems!”

With that she was off saying, “Mass shootings have become so frequent in this country that the only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is another bad guy with a gun who coincidentally came to shoot up the same place.”

Bee also lashed out at the NRA’s support of assault weapons, saying, “We can’t constitutionally get rid of all guns, but can’t we get semi-automatic assault rifles out of the hands of civilians? Yes! Sam Bee wants to take your guns away. The ones that mow down a room full of people in a second! Yes, I do want to take those guns away. These high-capacity penis substitutes.

"YOU'RE THE WEIRDOS"

Stephen Colbert shared his stance on Republican-backed state laws targeting LGBT people in public rest-rooms.
“Here’s the thing,” he told viewers. “I don’t care if you’re male or female, what sex or gender identity someone is, I — and I mean this sincerely — do not want to share a bathroom with anyone. For two reasons: No. 1 — and No. 2.”
The “Late Show” host wondered why public rest-rooms even existed, pointing out that his bathrooms at home had only one toilet each.
“When I am forced to use a public bathroom — which is infrequently, thank God — I go in there with blinders on,” Colbert said. “I don’t know who’s next to me. It could be a centaur next to me, for all I know. I don’t even like to look at myself in the mirror afterwards. I know what I did. I’m there for a surgical strike — get in, get out, minimal casualties.”
He said a more reasonable rest-room-related law would ban chit-chat.
“I’m not there to make friends,” Colbert said. “If we’ve just come out of a movie and you’re standing next to me, I don’t want to talk about how irreplaceable Robert Downey Jr. is as Iron Man. I don’t care if you’re Robert Downey Jr. yourself.”

“Second, if you’re a fan of mine — that’s wonderful,” he continued. “Please don’t try to shake my hand in there. Because I know what you just shook. Also, if there are a bunch of open stalls, don’t take the one next to me. It’s not the buddy system.”
Colbert then offered a special message to GOP lawmakers who wanted to legislate the private business of using a public rest-room.
“To all those lawmakers out there who are so obsessed with who’s using what bathroom and what plumbing they’ve got downtown — newsflash: You’re the weirdos,” Colbert said.

REAL OR A HOAX?

Two Brazilian men said they were filming a video for their YouTube comedy channel when an irate white woman pulled over because she mistook them for terrorists.

“I was filming a sketch for youtube in front of a local airport, when a racist woman stopped her vehicle on the side of the road and started calling my friend and I terrorists,” performer Uhoh Nick wrote on Facebook. “Being that I’m an inspiring filmmaker, I pulled out my camera and started recording the incident. I honestly never thought this would happen to me.”

In the video, the woman immediately begins hurling racial insults as soon as one of the men pulls out his cell phone to begin filming.
“I said you were a scum bag, you’re child pedophilers [SIC], faggot bitches that turn into terrorists,” she rants, adding several other anti-gay slurs. “You’re turning terrorists now because you hate yourself so much. Now you’re taking pictures in front a plane to remind you of 9/11.”
“You’re American terrorists!” the woman insists after exiting her SUV. “And God told me so. God is your brain and your brain.”

Peppering her rant with homophobic slurs, the woman yells at the two men about Jesus, 9/11, hoverboards before insisting that the two Brazilian men “are Middle Eastern” and then getting back in her vehicle.

“You want little Middle Eastern boys like you to get raped and go to hell!” she yells as she drives away.

Uhoh Nick lamented on his personal Facebook page that people “like her need to be shunned out of society, because that’s the mentality that keeps us from progressing.”

NFTOS reached out to Uhoh Monkey about whether this encounter was part of this comedy routine, but the performers did not respond by the time of publication.

SNL PUNKS THE CONSERVATIVES AT THANKSGIVING

With the holidays just around the corner, the cast of Saturday Night Live has the perfect solution to ending contentious political arguments with crazy distant relatives over Thanksgiving dinner.

Called “A Thanksgiving Miracle,” the sketch parodies a holiday dinner gone wrong when one family member says, “I’m thankful our governor is keeping those refugees out,” which sets off a series of uninformed and ultimately racist comments.
“I saw an ISIS today in the A&P, when I was picking up the yams,” one woman states as her niece rolls her eyes and explains, “No you didn’t, Aunt Cathy. That was an Asian woman.”

VIDEO COURTESY OF NBC

From there it goes downhill with family bickering as Aunt Cathy asks the only black member of the dinner party, “Why is it that your ‘friends’ keep antagonizing the police?”

Having had enough, a little girl gets up from the table and goes to a boombox and introduces the one thing in the world that can bring everyone together: Adele singing “Hello.”

CRAIG JAMES, EX FOOTBALLER SAYS HOMOPHOBIC REHTORIC SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUSED HIM TO BE FIRED

Craig James is a former professional football player and longtime sports broadcaster who, in 2012, took time off from his broadcasting career to mount an unsuccessful bid for the United States Senate. During that campaign, according to a lawsuit James filed Monday, he opposed equal marriage rights for same-sex couples, and called upon “Christians” to “stand up” against the advance of marriage equality. Though he briefly worked as a broadcaster for Fox Sports following his campaign, James says he was fired shortly after Fox uncovered his past anti-gay statements.

James now works for the Family Research Council, an anti-gay organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center designates as a “hate group.”

The crux of James’s lawsuit are claims that Fox “discriminated against James because of his religion in violation of the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act.” Yet his complaint (which, admittedly, is only available to the public in a redacted form) cites no actual evidence that Fox’s decision to fire James was motivated by the fact that James identifies as a Christian. Nor does it claim that Fox Sports treated other employees who held similar anti-gay views differently because those employees are not Christian. Rather, James says that “Fox Sports informed James that his short off-the-cuff statement about his beliefs regarding marriage . . . was the sole reason Fox Sports terminated him,” and he does not appear to disagree with Fox’s alleged claim that they were motivated solely by their own opposition to James’s anti-gay statements.

Instead, James attempts a two-bumper bank shot to convert this anti-anti-gay firing into a kind of religious discrimination. James, his lawsuit emphasizes, holds anti-gay beliefs that are motivated byhis religious beliefs, and this, he claims, is enough to protect his job even if Fox would be allowed to fire an employee who made similar statements that were driven by a secular belief.

In other contexts, the Supreme Court has rejected attempts to use cries of religious discrimination to excuse acts of bigotry. Four years after Congress banned whites-only restaurants, for example, the owner of a South Carolina barbecue chain put up a sign protesting that “[t]he law makes us serve n***ers, but any money we get from them goes to the Ku Klux Klan.” He also claimed that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 “contravenes the will of God,” and that he should be exempted from having to follow it because of his religious beliefs. The Supreme Court disagreed, in Newman v. Piggie Park Enterprises, labeling the restaurant owner’s claim “patently frivolous.”

James’s case, however, was filed in Texas court, where the conservative Texas Supreme Court may see things differently than the justices of another era. It also arises under a different area of the law than Piggie Park. James sued under the Texas Commission on Human Rights Act, which, among other things, prohibits discrimination “because of or on the basis of any aspect of religious observance, practice, or belief, unless an employer demonstrates that the employer is unable reasonably to accommodate the religious observance or practice of an employee or applicant without undue hardship to the conduct of the employer’s business.”

There is surprisingly little Texas case law interpreting this particular provision. Nevertheless, Texas civil rights law explicitly tracks “the policies of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and its subsequent amendments,” so federal court decisions examining similar cases should inform the Texas judges confronted by James’s case. At least one federal appeals court case, however, suggests that employers are not required to accommodate the anti-gay views of their employees, even if those views are motivated by religion.

In Peterson v. Hewlett-Packard Co., the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit considered a

n employee who posted Bible verses that, among other things, said that men who have sex with men should be “put to death.” Admittedly, this is a more egregious case than the James case, as James was not fired for saying that gay or bisexual men should be executed (when he was later asked about executing gay people, he responded tepidly). Nevertheless, the court in Peterson offered a sweeping dismissal of the idea that an employer is required to accommodate statements that could cause lesbian, gay or bisexual employees to feel unwelcome. It is an undue hardship, the court explained, to inhibit an employer’s “efforts to attract and retain a qualified, diverse workforce, which the company reasonably views as vital to its commercial success.”

James was an unusually visible employee who made his anti-gay statements in an unusually public forum. And James admits that Fox Sports was motivated by similar fears to the ones that concerned the employer in Peterson. He quotes a Fox spokesperson, who reportedly said that James was fired because “we just asked ourselves how Craig’s statements would play in our human resources department” and concluded that “he couldn’t say those things here.”

Nevertheless, the Texas judicial system is unusually conservative, so there is no guarantee that it will not give people like James a special right to make offensive statements about LGBT people with impunity.

Craig, you are today’s asshat of the day. Congrats numbnutz!

ONE TERM MORE

Broadway performers have joined together to launch the “One More Term” Les Miserables parody, hoping to see President Obama retain his place as Commander in Chief while also highlighting Republican extremism.

The song, which borrows from “One Day More” from Les Miserables, criticizes the current Republican establishment, lampooning Republican lawmakers across America for the War on Women, homophobia, religious zealotry and more, saying “To the Dark Side they’ve succumbed.”

The parody puts particular focus on the charge that while in high school Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney had friends hold down fellow classmate John Lauber whereby Romney allegedly forcibly cut the man’s hair simply because he had dared to wear it differently, berating Romney for suggesting that he “had no memory of participating” in the incident even though at least five others who were involved all have vivid recollections to the contrary.

“Misogynistic, homophobic, radically regressive and ideologically unhinged with little apparent interest in governing and no appetite for compromise or common ground, that Grand Old Party’s out-of-order, a consequence of preposterous partisan pandering, legislative belligerence–and all that tea.”
