We Didn't Start It, But We Are Going To Finish It!

Scott "Koch Whore" Walker in better times

UPDATE: 1/17/12 1621 Wisconsinities prove they are pissed off and tired of Walker - over one million signatures collected.

With the deadline looming ever so close, Wisconsinites will today jump-start the process of removing the nation's most notorious anti-labor governor when they submit petitions signed by more than enough eligible voters to force Scott Walker to face a new election.

A total of 540,208 valid signatures are required to recall Scott Walker, the Republican governor, who was elected in 2010. The chairman of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin said Monday night that the recall drive would "hit or exceed 720,000 signatures." And there were media reports that the total number of submitted signatures may exceed 1 million.

If that is the scenario, the movement to oust Walker will have secured the support of a higher percentage of eligible voters than has ever before sought to recall an American governor.

Today the petitions get turned in to the nonpartisan Government Accountability Board (the only state agency Scott Walker doesn't control with an appointee). At the end of the day, the number of signatures is irrelevant - rest assure there will be more than enough signatures to survive the relentless teapublican challenges that both Wisconsinites and America expects.

What does this message say to current and future teabagging Govna's you ask? Not on my watch, enough is enough, do we have your attention yet Govna? Walker's reach for power will end sometime this summer. Today I can honestly say that Scott Walker's effort to reshape the balance of power in Wisconsin began and shall ended with his initiative to yank collective-bargaining rights away from public-employee unions.

Wisconsin's recall drive is already the greatest popular democracy movement in it's history, and one of the greatest challenges to political power in American history.

Why should Scotty get the boot?

ATTACK ON WORKING FAMILIES:
Didn’t campaign on the elimination of collective bargaining rights and then terminated collective bargaining for public employees, ending more than fifty years of bipartisan support and dividing the state.

ATTACK ON WOMEN’S REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS:
Signed legislation to eliminate programs for cancer screening, STD treatment, birth control and reproductive health support.

ATTACK ON EDUCATION AND SCHOOLS:
Nearly a billion dollars in cuts to education with restrictions on how school districts can make up for the cutbacks and programs.

ATTACK ON INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS:
By rejecting $810 million in stimulus funds for the Madison-Milwaukee train, thousands of jobs were lost and taxpayers have to pay for contracts that were cancelled due to careless incompetence.

ATTACK ON THE ENVIRONMENT:
Signed legislation repealing clean water testing, cut alternative energy programs using biomass and wind power that lost thousands of jobs.

ATTACK ON DEMOCRACY AND VOTERS RIGHTS:
Signed legislation for the most restrictive Voter ID law in the US based on unproven Faux News/Republican myth of voter fraud.

Walker has always has a "sense of mission" says his mother, but Walker's sense of mission has often brought controversy in his adult life, as when he ran for student body president as a sophomore at Marquette University in 1988. He was sanctioned for illegal campaigning and declared "unfit" by the student paper for engaging in "blatant mudslinging" against his opponent. Walker lost that election, which he later blamed on his having "focused on personalities and egos." He left Marquette without getting a degree. No surprise here!

All throughout Walker's career his boldness has brought him into turbulent waters, and the great white sharks (Wisconsin and American Democrats) are rabidly seeking a piece of this mans posterior - rightly so, for the vision of a this radical teabagger has gone completely awry, and its time to wrangle in this Reagan wannabe.

The infamous "Koch Whores" Call:

Walker's critics uniformly cite his Feb. 22 2011 phone conversation with a prankster pretending to be billionaire David Koch as the key to understanding what drives him. Below is by far the biggest 'punked" of our time!

In that call, which was secretly recorded and posted on the Internet, Walker crowed about his national media appearances and the positive feedback he said he was getting from other Republican governors, who, like him, "got elected to do something big."

Walker also shared with his caller how, just before he "dropped the bomb" on the state's public employees, he met with his cabinet and pulled out a picture of Ronald Reagan, recalling how the former president had fired air traffic controllers in 1981 — an event he claimed sent a message of toughness that helped spur the collapse of the Soviet Union. Walker recalled telling his cabinet that what he was planning to do in Wisconsin would be comparably historic.

Usually reluctant to concede error, Walker now confesses to being embarrassed by the "Koch Whore" call. No shit Sherlock! Political suicide sounds more apropos.

Like most teapublcians, I say Scotty is drawn to conflict with his "Us vs. Them" dichotomy.
"He has sort of a messiah complex," says state Sen. Mark Miller, D-Monona. "The governor feels like he's on some sort of a divine mission." Insert "republican Jesus" here.
NFTOS' biggest criticism of Walker is that he fudges facts — not only in his public pronouncements, but in his own mind.

Walker has said the state is broke, that most of the protesters who besieged the Capitol last spring were from out of state, that most school districts in Wisconsin have seen a net gain in staff. These are among the 27 statements he's made that the collaborative journalism project PolitiFact Wisconsin has deemed "Mostly False," "False" or, worse, "Pants on Fire."

"What he says isn't true," says state Sen. Jon Erpenbach, D-Middleton, who is also weighing a possible challenge against Walker. "I don't think he's intentionally lying. He just believes what is not true."
Erpenbach goes on to say: "I've never seen anybody in such denial" as is Walker on the division he's sown. "We're in a spot right now where family members can't talk to each other. Golf buddies can't talk to each other. The governor needs to recognize that we've got to pull things back, and he doesn't."
Well readers, make no mistake about it, denial or not, over 700 thousand signatures will be submitted today for scrutiny. Today organizers will be unloading the stacks of petitions, weighing 3,000 pounds, from a truck and hauling them into the state election board's offices, a state ready to say, "We didn't start it, but we are going to finish it"!

Talk About A Slap In The Face

Republican Jesus Told Me So!

On the day we remember a leader of peace, Romney campaigns with white supremacist!

You can't make this stuff up. Really Flipflopney, your spending MLK Day by campaigning with a white supremacist? Teapublicans really do want Obama to win in 2012, don't they?

Teapublicans, Christianity, and Jesus

Republican Jesus
Teapublicans, Christianity, and Jesus. I know it sounds like an oxymoron, and why is that you ask? Because it is one!

With the onslaught of "Christian Televangelists" in the "Palmetto" state seeking to find a radical candidate to endorse for President - I got to thinking about the right, Christianity, and Jesus.

Mohandas Gandhi is quoted as saying :
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Gandhi must have been thinking about teapublicans when he made this statement! During the debates we have heard both candidates and voters emit non-Christian like actions.

I ask you readers, when did:

Christ hate Blacks?
Christ hate Mexicans?
Christ start advocating for the (1%) and stop advocating for the poor?
Christ cheer for the ill whom couldn't afford healthcare and encourage their death?
Christ stop advocating for all humans and start advocating for just the reichwing persuasion?

When did Christianity abort the "The New Colossus" poem by Emma Lazarus which says:

"Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless,
tempest-tost to me".....

Christ advocate, "GUNS, GREED, HYPOCRISY"?

He didn't, and thats the point!

In a September 1994 plenary speech to the Christian Coalition national convention, Rev. D. James Kennedy said that "true Christian citizenship" involves an active engagement in society to "take dominion over all things as vice-regents of God." Kennedy's remarks were reported in February 1995 by sociologist and journalist Sara Diamond, who wrote that Kennedy had "echoed the Reconstructionist line."

More than anyone else, it was Sara Diamond who popularized the term "dominionism," using it to describe a growing political tendency in the Christian Right.

This highly politicized concept of dominionism is based on the Bible's text in Genesis 1:26:

Put simply, Dominionism means that Christians have a God-given right to rule all earthly institutions. Originating among some of America’s most radical theocrats, it’s long had an influence on religious-right education and political organizing. But because it seems so outrĂ©, getting ordinary people to take it seriously can be difficult.

So, to celebrate a true Christian - Martin Luther King Jr, we give you.

Republican Jesus’ Ten Commandments

And Lo, did Republican Jesus come down among the masses and holding his tablet PC, did he give unto his disciples the NEW (and improved) Ten Commandments. “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Socialism, out of the house of Communism.”

1. You shall have no other gods before me, especially that terrorist monkey god, Mohammed.

2. You shall not make for yourself any carved image; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them except for the Holy Benjamins. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting poverty of the fathers on the children of those (as in those people) who hate me, but showering material riches unto thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Also, you shall have guns. All you want.

3. You shall not take the name of your God, Ronald Reagan, in vain, for the Lord will hold him guiltless of treason and malfeasance.

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. If you are a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, six days you shall labor and do all your work, that should just about do it for the year, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor the stranger who is within your country illegally unless they are off the books then they shall work all seven days without respite. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, including dinosaur bones and rested the seventh day.

5. Honor your father and your mother by ensuring that they keep their Social Security even as you shall taketh it away from all others.

6. You shall not murder unless they are Muslim. Or gay. Or abortion doctors. Or government workers. Or black. Or whatever group is currently out of favor with mine chosen White (not white, White) People.

7. You shall not commit adultery and get caught during an election year.

8. You shall not steal unless it’s from the workers’ pensions.

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Just kidding, Mr. Beck.

10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s. Instead, you shall go forth and buy these things for yourself on credit and keep the “too big to fail” banks happy.

The "republican Jesus commandments" brought to you by Addictinginfo.

MITT THE RIPPER

Colbert super PAC airing ‘Mitt the Ripper’ ad in South Carolina. Narrated by John Lithgow.

It’s been less than four days since Colbert Super PAC changed hands from comedian Stephen Colbert to his colleague Jon Stewart and was renamed the Definitely Not Coordinating With Stephen Colbert Super PAC. Political analysts were wondering how long it would take for the new PAC to start airing ads in South Carolina. Well, wonder no more, because a new ad from the PAC targets Mitt Romney over his “corporations are people” comment.

Dana Loesch , Open Mouth, Insert Foot

Reichwing Radical Dana "foot-in mouth" Loesch

UPDATE: Since writing this blog early this am, and after the onslaught of angry CNN viewers complaining too CNN about Loesch - she has now posted a redaction or twist on her blog "backstroking" her way to continued CNN employment. What a tool!

BACKGROUND: I have done many blogs on "dear Dana". From the annuls/archives/vault of NFTOS, my favorite quote to Loesch via an email from photographer Steven Treusdell:
Our researchers came up with this quote from a left wing friend of Loesch's (which honesty astonishes the bloggers of NFTOS that she has Democratic pals). Quoting photographer Steven Treusdell who has no problem calling out dear Dana... "You have the character of a hate radio DJ down pat," Truesdell wrote in an e-mail to Loesch in October. "Your continued rise in this arena will be fun to watch. You have the aggression, the looks, and the vocab to go far in 'Hate broadcasting' and right wing idolatry. Do be careful though, one day the outrage you urge in others will turn to violence and innocent people will die in your name. This is assured. That is a lot to live with, even when one has Religious righteousness and a fervent belief in their absolute rightness. I hope when that day comes you can live with the results of what you have sown."

CNN political contributor and Editor-in-Chief of Big Journalism Dana Loesch came out in support of the video showing US Marines urinating on the corpses of Taliban fighters during her radio show Thursday on FM News Talk 97.1.

From Loesch's radio show:
“Now we have a bunch of progressives that are talking smack about our military because there were marines caught urinating on corpses, Taliban corpses,” Loesch opined. “Can someone explain to me if there’s supposed to be a scandal that someone pees on the corpse of a Taliban fighter? Someone who, as part of an organization, murdered over 3,000 Americans? I’d drop trou and do it too. That’s me though. I want a million cool points for these guys. Is that harsh to say? Come on people, this is a war. What do people think this is?”

The Marine Corps previously had released a statement condemning the solider’s actions as “egregious, disgusting behavior.”

From CNN:
"I have seen the footage, and I find the behavior depicted in it utterly deplorable," U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said in a statement. "I condemn it in the strongest possible terms."

Marine Corps Commandant Gen. James Amos said in a statement the behavior is "wholly inconsistent with the high standards of conduct and warrior ethos that we have demonstrated throughout our history."

Lt. Gen. Adrian Bradshaw, deputy commander of ISAF, called the actions on the video "disgusting."

"Any acts which treat the dead, enemy or friendly, with disrespect are utterly unacceptable and do not represent the standards we expect of coalition forces," Bradshaw said in a video statement. He said he was speaking on behalf of Allen, who is out of the country.

"It is difficult to say what long-term impacts this might have, and I would hesitate to get into speculation, but obviously any sort of footage, any sort of activity of this kind that is grossly against all the moral values that the coalition forces are standing for are very much working against our cause and against everything that we are standing for and that we are here for," said Brig. Gen. Carsten Jacobson, a NATO ISAF spokesman.

Well like most chicken hawks, Loesch has never dawned a uniform to defend her county. Dana's idea of service to country encompasses screaming at courthouse lawns with megaphones in tow.

Loesch's  comments put the talk radio host out on the fringe where even Rush Limbaugh won't go. RUSH LIMBAUGH -- responded to the video by saying there is "no defense of this".

I say, "finding a fringe where even Rush Limbaugh won't go is pretty extreme"...

When I first started my media firm - it was Loesch whom stirred the blogger in me. Two years ago there was a plethora of youtube videos showing Loesch in many radical moments spitting into the megaphone, apparently she has had most of them pulled, and rightly so as they painted a ungodly picture of Miss Dana.

NFTOS has challenged CNN often with regards to their hiring of Loesch as a "political commentator". Hopefully this final stage of foot in mouth disease gets Loesch what she so rightly deserves, a ticket back to Andy Breitbart office as his reichwing " 'big journelisms" goto girl.

Lessons learned: If your going to piss on dead enemies, don't video it and post to youtube, but most importantly, don't come out on "conservative" talk radio condoning or giving the green light too this action -for you endanger many thousands of boots in the theater of war with such incendiary blather.

The Republican Alphabet

**We are not normally into reposting others work, but this one is just too priceless to not do so.**

 A is for Anti-Christ. (See B & O.)

B is for Barack – Isn’t that an “exotic” name for a President? George, Ronald and Sarah are far more American sounding.

C is for Christ, who informs all of my decisions, including the ones where I discriminate against the poor and sick. Just like He would!

D is for Death panels and they’re coming to unplug Grandma!

E is for Electoral campaign finance reform.

G is for God, Guns & Guts. Everything a population needs to run a country wisely.

H is for Health care reform. Get the guns; they’re coming for Grandma again!

I(1) is for Immigration. “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free” and I will do everything in my power to disenfranchise and demonize them as a way to maintain the White hegemony.

I(2) is for Isolated Incident. These unfortunate events that only appear to have been instigated by violent rhetoric are totally unrelated to any other letter in this list (See A,B,D,F,G,H,L,N,O,P,U,X). Unless the offender is a liberal, then it’s MSNBC’s fault.

J is for Jesus. I can never have too much of him in my life. And I want to make sure he’s part of YOURS too, whether you like it or not.

K is for Kansas and Kentucky where evolution is a four letter word. No, seriously, our education system is so bad we can’t spell but wee no wi ain’t relaytuhd 2 no munkey!

L is for Liberal. Liberals hate you and everything about you. They’re plotting to take over the country by force. They also happen to be total wimps and weaklings who hate guns. How are wimps and weaklings without guns going to take over the country? Please see Q.

N(1) is for Nazi. Nazis want to destroy America. Anyone who disagrees with you is one of these.

N(2) is for Nig…well we won’t say THAT word about these people or the liberal thought police will come for me but I think you know what I mean (wink wink).

O is for Obama. See N(1) and N(2).

P is for President. 1. The highest office of the land. The most powerful man in the world (for now…Palin in 2012!), deserving of our respect and admiration and love and full support during a time of war. 2. A secret Muslim foreigner terrorist sympathizer that is out to kill you and all you hold dear. It depends on who we are talking about. See O.

Q is for questions. Never ask any. Ever. About anything.

R is for Ronald Reagan. Ronnie represented a righteous religious revival and rapacious right-wing Republican revolution that ruined Russia. It doesn’t matter that, by the time he left office, he was unable to repeat or understand the previous sentence.

S(1) is for Sarah Palin. Sister Sarah symbolizes strength, serenity, sweetness and street smarts. She supports several serious stances on society’s struggles. Which ones? All potential interviewers please see Q.

S(2) is for Science which is Satan’s tool. Again, please see Q.

T is for Tea Party. The Tea Party tactlessly trampled through a thicket of town halls by throwing tenacious televised tantrums about terrible tax increases that never happened. “Alliteration? That one of them fancy college words for taking away my Medicare?”

U is for Us vs. Them.

V is for Voting. Voting is a God given right that we would NEVER think of interfering with by gerrymandering Congressional districts, underfunding voting machines in low income areas, mailing fliers to African Americans with false information, using robo-call centers to convince Hispanics to not vote in protest or anything else you can think of. If you do think of anything else, whatever you do, please don’t suggest it to your local GOP campaign headquarters. (1-800-drty-trk)

W is for Wealth redistribution. What goes up must never come down. That would be class warfare!

X is for Xenophobia (courtesy of Chuck Hutchings). “HELLO? WHICH. WAY. TO. THE. BATHROOM? EL BANO? DO. YOU. SPEAK. AMERICAN? Good lord, I hate Canada!”

Y Is for Yesterday when things were so much better than they are today. Women and Negroes knew their place and pinko commie liberals were blacklisted. Don’t you wish we could go back to those good ol’ days? So do we and we’re trying as hard as we can!

Z is for Zero accountability (courtesy of Dave Mann). Words are completely powerless. If words had ANY kind of power at all, our Founding Fathers would have used them to declare our independence or elevated them to first among our rights. So stop blaming every death threat, attempted assassination, anti-government militia and shooting spree on us. It was an isolated incident. They all isolated incidents! See I(2)

How To Kill Your Wife And Get A Pardon

UPDATE: 1/12/12 15:47 One of the people Governor Barbour pardoned for felony DUI was having his parole revoked -- after a new arrest for felony DUI, in a crash where a teenager died. Governor Barbour, meanwhile, is off to work as a lobbyist and for a law firm.

UPDATE BREAKING 1/11/12 20:38: Mississippi judge blocks release of pardoned prisoners.

Haley "Pardon Me" Barbour

Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour (Yes the one and same who wouldn't denounce Mississippi KKK leader License plates) has left office, but not before creating more damage than all the disasters combined in 2011. Of course when out going teapublican Governors leave office, it means it’s time to issue pardons. Unfortunately for the teapublican party, Haley Barbour has further befouled an already tarnished image of his radical political party. In the days leading up to his departure from the Governor’s Mansion, teapublican Haley Barbour surprised the world by granting more than 200 pardons, clemency or early release for people convicted of crimes including murder, rape and armed robbery.

Barbour's "How To Kill Your Wife And Get A Pardon" list below:

David Gatlin (wife killer)

Joseph Ozment

Anthony McCray (Wife Killer)

Michael David Graham (wife killer)

Clarence Jones (girlfriend killer)

Paul Joseph “Jody” Warnock (girlfriend killer)

Bobby Hays Clark (girlfriend killer)

Among the killers Barbour pardoned includes Anthony McCray who shot his wife in the back after an argument in a cafe in 2001, depriving a 3 year old daughter and 9 year old son of their mother. Another murderer, Joseph Ozment, robbed a store with several accomplices in 1994. He put a gun to a man’s head and executed him with two point blank shots after the man had already been wounded and could do nothing more than crawl on the ground seeking help. A third killer, Charles Hooker, was sentenced to life in prison in 1992. The fourth killer, David Gatlin, shot and killed his estranged wife while she was holding their baby.

Clearly none of these men deserve a pardon. Yet Haley Barbour freed them nonetheless - even though Gatlin had been denied parole just months earlier. The teapublican party in Mississippi has apparently adjudicated to stand on the side of killers. Of course, Barbour isn’t the first teapublican to pardon a dangerous and undeserving criminal. During his time as Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee pardoned many convicted criminals throughout his tenure including suspected cop killer Maurice Clemmons, who later went on a cop killing spree in Washington state.

This is a most heinous and unacceptable way for any human to "Govern", but tepublicans make it a disturbing pattern, a pattern of very bad judgment, a pattern of bad taste, and more importantly, a pattern of callous, uncouth, and uncultivated evilness!

Its amazing how they salivate over executing innocent prisoners, and are willing to imprison innocent people in private prisons for the sake of profit, and yet they willingly free the Aleister Crowley's of our country.

Teapublicans also want to imprison doctors who perform abortions, and women who choose to have them. NFTOS has said for two years that teapublicans are of the biggest hypocrites to troll the earth. Their ideology says a doctor who provides an abortion is a murderer who should be sentenced to life in prison or murdered by a gun toting radical southern militia, or better yet, executed. But a man who shoots his wife in the back, and a man who kills his estranged wife while she’s holding her baby, well they should be pardoned and forgiven. This is the problem with those right of center circa 2012!

What does it say about the likes of these people, when they glorify and approve violence against women and helpless people? This kind of deranged logic is infuriating, maniacal, psychopathic, and just down right demented!

This blog truly shows how deplorable, wicked and vicious the teabagger party has become.

"Executive privilege" - Maybe it's time to revoke "The Pardon Before Leaving Office" privilege for Governors

Speaking Of WTF Moments "Do as I Say...Not As I Do!

Whoever dreamed up the phrase "An Elephant Never Forgets" must have had end stage Alzheimer's!

Two former "torture" lawyers to George W. Bush agree that POTUS is mad with power.

President Barack Obama has finally done something that makes even the Bush administration attorneys who helped craft the legal rationales for torture, warrantless wiretapping, and indefinite detention tremble with fear: Last week, he made recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Quotes below sourced by "motherjones".

"David Addington, the former legal counsel to then-Vice President Dick Cheney who helped construct the legal justifications for Bush-era torture policies, argued the president had the "inherent" authority to ignore federal law when spying on American citizens, and put forth the novel view that the vice president's office is not a part of the executive branch and therefore not subject to congressional oversight, told the New York Times that Obama's recess appointments were "flabbergasting and, to be honest, a little chilling."
"John Yoo, the former attorney with the Bush-era Office of Legal Counsel who suggested the president could order a child's testicles crushed, massacre a village of civilians or unilaterally suspend free speech in the event of a terrorist attack, also fears for the future of the republic if the president is able to bypass Senate procedural gimmicks meant to block recess appointments. At National Review, Yoo attacks Obama for his "abuse" of executive power in appointing Richard Cordray to head the CFPB."

David Addington

As counsel to the Vice President, Addington's duties involved protecting the purported legal interests of the Office of the Vice President, despite the only duties actually given the U.S. Vice President under the United States Constitution are to be first in line to succeed the President in the event of his or her death, or a statutorily-defined inability to effectively discharge the powers of the office, and to be the presiding officer of the United States Senate, with the duty to cast a deciding vote in that body in the event of any tie votes among the members of the Senate itself.

Addington, known as the The "invisible hand" served as the ramrod driving the Bush administration's most secretive and controversial counterterrorism measures through the bureaucracy. David Addington was a key advocate of the Brown v. Board and more than 750 other signing statements the administration has issued since taking office--a record that far outstrips that of any other president.

Quoting NFTOS Edito-In-Chief Roger West:

"Name one significant action taken by the Bush White House after 9/11, and chances are better than ever that Addington had a role in it. In national security circles, Addington was viewed as such a force of nature that one former government lawyer nicknamed him "Keyser Soze," after the ruthless crime boss in the thriller The Usual Suspects. "

Perhaps David Addington’s greatest objective throughout his service with the U.S. government has been the vast expansion of executive power that has enabled the governmental infraction of human rights. With a 20 year career history in national security, Addington has helped profile the Bush administration’s strategy in the war on terror including a narrow interpretation of the U.S. Constitution and a stalwart belief that the powers of the presidency are the only solution to national security-the administration’s default excuse for the use of persecution and other war crimes. This has entailed a very broad interpretation of U.S. law prohibiting torture, allowing the president to override or ignore laws put in place to criminalize the act. This became especially germane following the 9/11 attacks, evidenced by an Office of Legal Council opinion disallowing Congress to place any limits upon the president’s response to terrorist threats, essentially handing the president unlimited powers.

NFTOS Editor-In-Chief West goes on to say:

"Addington was the "vice president's point man". Cheney tried to increase executive power with a series of bold actions -- some so audacious that even conservatives on the Supreme Court sympathetic to Cheney's view had rejected them as overreaching."

International War Crimes: In March 2009 Baltasar GarzĂ³n, a Spanish judge who has considered international war crimes charges against other high-profile figures, considered whether to allow charges made by Gonzalo Boye, a lawyer who once defended MIR and ETA, to be laid against Addington and five other former officials of the George W. Bush Presidency. Judge Garzon did not dismiss the complaint, but instead ordered the complaint assigned by lottery to another judge, who will then decide whether to pursue the complaint or not. Spanish Attorney General Candido Conde-Pumpido "strongly criticized" the proceedings, labeling them a legal "artifice." Pumpido recommended against prosecution due to lack of material responsibility on the part of the American officials.

John Yoo

John Yoo is an American attorney, law professor, and author. As a former official in the United States Department of Justice during the George W. Bush administration, he became known as the author of the Torture Memos on the use of what the CIA called enhanced interrogation techniques.

Regarding torture of detainees and children of detainees: After he left the Department of Justice, it was revealed that Yoo had authored memos, including co-authoring the Torture Memo of August 1, 2002, defining torture and American habeas corpus obligations narrowly. In addition, a new definition of torture was issued. Most actions that fall under the international definition do not fall within this new definition advocated by the U.S. Several top military lawyers, including Alberto J. Mora, reported that policies allowing methods equivalent to torture were officially handed down from the highest levels of the administration, and led an effort within the Department of Defense to put a stop to those policies and instead mandate non-coercive interrogation standards.

Regarding the Fourth amendment: Yes teapublicans there are more than two amendments.Yoo also authored the October 23, 2001 memo asserting that the President had sufficient power to allow the NSA to monitor the communications of US citizens on US soil without a warrant because the fourth amendment does not apply. Or, as another memo says in one of its footnotes, "Our office recently concluded that the Fourth Amendment had no application to domestic military operations." That interpretation is used to assert that the normal mandatory requirement of a warrant, under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, could be ignored.

Unitary executive theory: Yoo suggested that since the primary task of the President during a time of war is protecting US citizens, the President has inherent authority to subordinate independent government agencies, and plenary power to use force abroad. Yoo contends that the Congressional check on Presidential war making power comes from its power of the purse, and that the President, and not the Congress or courts, has sole authority to interpret international treaties such as the Geneva Conventions "because treaty interpretation is a key feature of the conduct of foreign affairs". His positions on executive power are controversial because the theory can be interpreted as holding that the President's war powers place him above any law.

But the sad thing is, John Yoo and David Addington are not good people to make these arguments. Watching two men who argued for years that the president could pick and choose which laws to follow and then have them complaining over Obama's recess appointments as an abuse of power is so absurd that one practically has to reach far into fiction land to find parallel analogies. If we could only get Lex Luthor's feelings on financial regulation or Emperor Palpatine's thoughts on the importance of checks and balances.

"Do as I say not as I do" comes to mind, "pot and kettle" also enters the grey matter as well, but overwhelmingly, hypocrites seems to be the best fit here!

BACK TO IRAQ?

Rick Perry would re-invade Iraq as President! HUH?

In December, the last American troops left Iraq, ending an unnecessary war that has lasted nearly a decade. Thousands of Americans were killed in the country and trillions of dollars has been spent on a war that never should have happened in the first place. But Rick Perry isn’t ready to end the loss of American lives and treasure.

During Saturday’s GOP Debate in New Hampshire, Perry declared that if he were elected President, he would re-invade Iraq and continue the war even though the Iraqis don’t want us there. Perry also falsely blamed President Obama for withdrawing the troops:
“I would send troops back into Iraq. Because I will tell you, I think we start talking with the Iraqi individuals there. The idea that we allow the Iranians to come back into Iraq and take over that country, with all of the treasure — in both blood and money — that we have spent in Iraq, because this president wants to kowtow to his liberal leftist base and move out those men and women.”

“He could have renegotiated that time frame. I think it is a huge error for us. We are going to see Iran, in my opinion, move back in at literally the speed of light. They’re going to move back in, and all the work we’ve done, every young man that has lost his life in that country will have been for nothing because we’ve got a president who does not understand what’s going on in that region.”

Such an irresponsible action.. This withdraw date was set by George W. Bush in 2008 and President Obama did indeed try to renegotiate with Iraq to keep troops in the country, but Iraq rejected the deal. Re-igniting the war in Iraq would be like one needing a hole in the head. It has cost America too many young men and women, and cost us trillions of dollars, which has put us in the economic mess we are trying to fix among other things. The last thing America needs is more war. The war in Iraq is over. Teapublicans need to get over it! Maybe we can trump up so more weapons of mass destruction to aide Perry's war plan.

They Say A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

A little enlightenment to all my teapublican readers:

Just the facts Maam, just the facts!

Bush drives the country into the worst recession in ~70+ years...Obama is dragging us up by our bootstraps. And this chart doesn't include the latest report which shows even greater acceleration in job creation.

                     What's wrong with THIS picture?

The same thing that is 'wrong' with ALL these charts. They show the truth.

Obama Created More Jobs In One Year Than Bush Created In Eight

When I have spare time, sometimes I like to stop by Conservative pages to do a little chatting. I don't feel my visit is complete without my life being threatened and called a Nazi terrorist at least once. Here is an example of a visit by a fellow dem:

Teabaggers have been bitching of late over Obama's "recess appointments"

Obama did 12...this is our point about the party of hypodcrites!

No comments needed here " A picture is worth a thousand words"! Please excuse the spelling on the picture below...we are working to help teabaggers spell better.

Again...no words needed

And this one is just too funny to pass up...The Valerie Plame Clan

No Rhyme Nor Reason

UPDATED: 1/6/12 15:24 hours

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'” ― Isaac Asimov

Since the mid-term elections not so long ago, I often invoke Asimov's quote, as it resounds with a loud thud when I hear teapublcians speak!

Republican candidates fall all over themselves to kiss the asses of rich people and trash the downtrodden.

Jesus once said that “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” "Well, the tepublicans must want to compensate for this by making rich peoples’ time on Earth as heavenly as possible through a wonderful blend of tax cuts and blatant ass-kissing."

What would Jesus not do?

Another passage comes to mind when thinking of the callous teapublican:

"Then the king will say to those good people on his right, 'Come. My Father has given you great blessings. Come and get the kingdom God promised you. That kingdom has been prepared for you since the world was made. You can have this kingdom, because I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was alone and away from home, and you invited me into your home. I was without clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you came to visit me.' "Then the good people will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food? When did we see you thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you alone and away from home and invite you into our home? When did we see you without clothes and give you something to wear? When did we see you sick or in prison and care for you?' "Then the king will answer, 'I tell you the truth. Anything you did for one of the least of these my brethren, you also did for me.'"
Two wise Americans are quoted as saying:
"I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country."
 ~Thomas Jefferson

“The truth is that liberty is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to the point where it becomes stronger than that of their democratic state itself. That, in essence, is Fascism.”
 ~Franklin D. Roosevelt
George Carlin so eloquently depicts the teapublican ideology:

My Mentor....Carlin pegging teapublicans too a "T"
Now lets look at the "republicans Circa 2012: ("Anatomy of a Teapublican")

Let's take for instance this a$$hat Bill Looman III. Mr. Looman has broken about every law pertaining to title 18, and yet his is still not incarcerated - and yet he still blasts from behind his lectern and pulpit, which is a computer screen via facebook.

http://www.facebook.com/bill.looman/posts/2575265668289 (if you want a sign like mine...)

http://brloa.com/

Title 18 carries a lot of info that the Bill Looman's of the world may want to look at. Its apparent that the US constitution past number two eludes these radical teapublicans... or any republcian for that fact. No surprise here! Here is your history lesson for the day:

Does Title 18 apply to this asshat?! In a nut shell title 18 says:
TITLE 18—CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE

§ 2383. Rebellion or insurrection

Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

§ 2384. Seditious conspiracy

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

§ 2385. Advocating overthrow of Government

Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government;

or

Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so;

or

Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof—

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

If two or more persons conspire to commit any offense named in this section, each shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

As used in this section, the terms “organizes” and “organize”, with respect to any society, group, or assembly of persons, include the recruiting of new members, the forming of new units, and the regrouping or expansion of existing clubs, classes, and other units of such society, group, or assembly of persons.

In lieu of the above aforementioned, and after visiting Mr. A$$hats facebook page, we can assume that Looman has violated title 18, multiple times!

Mr. Looman's affiliation with the "Georgia Militia" along with comments on his Facebook pages are enough to demonstrate his true nature as a terrorist.

Mr. Looman's Militia

The North Georgia Militia that Bill Looman founded is a III% group, his Facebook pages are full of III% propaganda and even his Facebook moniker is Bill Looman III%. And then there is this comment on his Facebook page 3 days after the arrests of the Georgia Militia:

Mr. Looman spreads the most outrageous of lies and distortions. He claims to be a patriot, but appears to be trying to start a civil war. He claims to be a Christian, yet he seems to be spreading hate and fomenting violence.

Its apparent that our beloved Mr. Looman didn't get to far from an education standpoint or perspective. Its apparent that Bill has either had held his head to long in the paint thinner jar, or that the best part of him ran down moms leg at birth! Either way, Georgia, the FEDS, or Secret Service need to gather up Bill ASAP!

I have a neighbor here in Gloucester that perspires this same mentality and qualities that Looman does. "Brothers from different mothers" you could say. Mr. Seaford (Neighbor) is from the same mold as Looman, and my one and only conversation in four years with this idiot - some how morphed to politics, which has now turned into the Hatfield's and McCoy's relationship between him and I.
Surprisingly as it may seem, many of these types reside in my wonderful county today!

Anatomy of a teapublican's brain..Love this one!

These types of radical republicans can distort the facts and hate-monger with the best of them, and I am positive you have one of these tools nearest you.

I’ve never seen such anti-American behavior in my life! Mr. Looman is dangerous, and he appears to be having a public meltdown on his Facebook page.

Let's ensure this guy gets the jacket the fits him best. Yes the preverbal straight jacket.

NFTOS' point is this; with our political discourse as high as it is in America today, we certainly need to ensure that those with this teapublican radical mentality - that you get corralled up, so no further "militias" can act on their FUBAR ideologies. Freedom of speech is fine, but when you cross the line of title 18, then it's high time for us to give you that fifteen minutes of fame you seek, and place you where you belong......Jail!

If you're a Reichwing lunatic like Looman, with psychotic delusions, Georgia has a big welcome sign posted just for you. Please go....and stay.... forever. Thanks!

Teapublicans, please remember to breed responsibly. There is no life guard at the gene pool.

I was asked the other day why I am a liberal......If the above is not enough, I tell you -"Because militant fundamentalist xenophobic corporate oligarchy just wasn't working for me."

A Tale Of Two Idiots

There is a reason readers why America is on such a disastrous path to hell. This path was fabricate by G.W. Bush, whom emaciated this country like no other POTUS before him. Radical teabaggers  ensure today that this path remains wide and clear.

Within the last twenty four hours we have seen some pretty radical Americans pony up to a lectern and spew some ungodly rhetoric. Enter Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul.

Famous Reichwing-nut job Michele Bachmann held an unprecedented meeting with “reality,” today which has tragically and inevitably led to the announcement that she is dropping out of the presidential campaign. Poor Marcus Bachmann will never get to be First Lady, after all! Damn!

BUH-BYE Michele

So will she now return to space? Or better yet just go back to her job of collecting a paycheck in return for refusing to show up for work, like all the other teapublican losers who have so effectively managed to monetize “doing nothing,” politics. Honestly it’s not a bad back-up gig to running for President!

Then again, there’s always room for a lunatic teapublican woman in the Vice Presidential slot on the ticket, MAYBE? We can always “hope.”

"Miss Hell" Bachmann has now tripled down on her views...the ones that put her in last place in her own home state. The "obamacare" blitz, which was her only mission. (mentioned 12 times in her good-bye sonata) as POTUS seeker, which has now cost her the career that she so drooled over.

I have a tear in my eye as 'Batshit Crazy" exits stage left. No more are the days of listening to a Senator whom lacks basic American history.

Goodbye Michele Bachmann, say hello to Palin, Cain, Trump and Pawlenty when you join them in the teapublican loser line. The line of useful idiots.

As noted by "politifact" Bachmann had the most ratings on the false end of the truth-O-meter scale, with 72 percent mostly false or lower. She also ranks first for the largest share of Pants on Fire ratings (23 percent)."

Even in America, bald faced lies and half truths can be damaging to one's credibility. A truly great American story and who'd a thunk it? Good-bye batshit, and don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you!

RON PAUL

While watching Ron Paul speech last night after the Iowa caucus, I sat in wonderment as to why someone would either follow or vote for this bombastic buffoon. Listening to this squealing, squelching voice was far worse than any fingernail on a chalkboard. I quickly associated Paul with Jack Nicholson's character in "one flew over the cuckoos nest"!

This man is more f**ked up than I once thought. What do teabaggers do when reality's round peg just won't fit into their little square hole...make up some more blather and play the innocent victim of vast conspiracy cards. What else? Hence enter Ron Paul's conspiracy theory on 9/11.

Long-time Paul campaign and congressional aide Eric Dondero recently wrote a statement on the website RightWingNews.com saying that after the Sept. 11 attacks, Paul “engaged in conspiracy theories including perhaps the attacks were coordinated with the CIA, and that the Bush administration might have known about the attacks ahead of time.” Dondero recently repeated that charge in a joint interview with Mike Michaels of Redstate and the Spokane Conservative Examiner last week. Dondero went so far as to call Paul "the original 9/11 truther."
”When Al- Qaeda attacked our country on 9-11, Ron Paul told us the CIA was behind it. And that Bush and Cheney knew about the attack in advance,” Dondero said.

In a previous interview, Dondero said that after witnessing the attack on the Pentagon, Paul was more concerned about how Bush would use the attack, and nearly voted
against responding militarily.
Mr. Paul has blamed America for 9/11 often, and has stated the Bush administration reacted with glee over the terror attacks. Given his support for other truthers and previous statements he has made, it really isn't that difficult to believe he would fall in line with those who don't think fire can melt steel. Birthers, truthers, teabaggers, teapublcians, AGENDA 21 radicals, are all one in the same, just named or identified differently to confuse the masses.

In 1988, while running for president on the Libertarian Party ticket, Paul highlighted yet another conspiracy theory, and this one doesn't collapse under investigation: The CIA, Paul told a gathering of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, was involved in trafficking drugs as part of the Iran-Contra debacle.

Quoting Paul: Drug trafficking is "a gold mine for people who want to raise money in the underground government in order to finance projects that they can't get legitimately. It is very clear that the CIA has been very much involved with drug dealings," Paul said. "The CIA was very much involved in the Iran-Contra scandals. I'm not making up the stories; we saw it on television. They were hauling down weapons and drugs back. And the CIA and government officials were closing their eyes, fighting a war that was technically illegal."
Now on to Ronnie's "foreign policies". Paul has made moves that shore up his credentials and views - that on both national security and foreign policy, he represents a radical or dangerous departure from the mainstream. For heavens sake he even has Eye-of-Newt saying his policies are dangerous.

Newt Gingrich has finally found a politician he considers even worse than a president he calls socialist, anti-colonialist and radical. That would be his fellow teapublican Ron Paul.
"I think Barack Obama is very destructive to the future of the United States. I think Ron Paul's views are totally outside the mainstream of virtually every decent American," Gingrich said in a CNN interview with Wolf Blitzer.
Could he vote for Paul? "No." If it came down to Paul vs. Obama? "You'd have a very hard choice at that point."

In the National Journal, Miss Hell Bachmann said she considered Paul "unfit" for the office of POTUS. Talk about your pot and kettle moment, but it just goes to show you that as FUBAR as Bachmann is, she can still identify with how ludicrous this idea is  - of Ron Paul residing in the White House.

This is not rocket science readers. I am fast becoming the most unpopular man in America, among Ron Paul supporters that is. Truth is seldom popular among those at odds with that truth.

Paul supporters have worked diligently to convince voters that their candidate is the “real deal” constitutionalist conservative in the ’12 presidential race and that he has a real chance of winning. But the facts simply don’t support either of these claims and pointing this reality out seems to drive Paul supporters into a fit of unbridled rage.

The fact is, though Ron Paul himself is no threat to anyone or anything, his campaign is on a track that is very dangerous for America. Although he is highly unlikely to win anything, his campaign is increasingly likely to cause real trouble for those of the radical persuasion.

The Bill Looman's of the world are amongst us, and like Ron Paul, with a voice they are a dangerous lot! With the likes of Ron Paul, radical white supremacist toting guns, "Soldiers of Fortune" magazines, and Gadsden's flags run rampant in our neighborhoods.

A dangerous lot indeed!
